PS-Paul McCartney was the most involved with The Beatles by 1967...Harrison was occupied with Hinduism, Lennon was involved with Yoko Ono, and Ringo was just in it for the ride.

Eric Burdon(The Animals) had some success with his later group War. I think that The Animals could have survived because of their Blues roots. The others besides The Beatles were good for their time but I don't think that they could have survived the 70's.As for The Beatles I think that there would have been too much competition between Paul, John and George as they each had their own ideas and style. I think that we have benefited from the breakup(I hate to say that!) as each had their own individual successes with their own awesome music!
