Yeah most of the problems are disc 1-3 but now I'm reading that disc 6 cannot access link to "Missing Pair of Pants". Disc 3 does not load on many dvd players and when you hit play, it goes straight to "The Prowler". The menu can only be accessed when hitting menu button on the dvd remote. Disc 1&2 on the menu selection you have to wait for the music to stop in order for the selection cursor to appear. They must be referring to the scripts on disc 15. It would be nice if they got the disc number right before making a complaint. Thanks for posting the information! It's interesting to know that MPI will not be producing new sets even though they're receiving complaints about defective discs. I emailed/contacted them 2 weeks ago with the issues in detail. I got no reply back either. I cannot believe they released such a set with some of the discs having technical issues. It's amazing that MPI didn't bother to reply after you sent them an email that described in detail the issues that some of the DVDs have. This release has turned out to be a major disappointment. I think the Jackie Gleason estate has a website so that might be a good place to start. If you read what Chris posted in the other thread and contacted Niki about the issues, then how did you get the impression that they're not going to fix anything? And Jackie Gleason Enterprises just licenses the material to MPI, they had nothing to do with the discs being defective. JealousGarrity 11-22-2011, 05:53 AM I never said they would not fix it. I said IF. I got a letter from Niki today stating if I mail mine back they would fix it. |
