Ratings are down 16% in the key 18-49 demo from last year.
Yong Fang 10-28-2011, 07:13 AM I'll bite.
NBC is (and has been) my favorite network. It has four of my favorite shows, "Parks and Recreation" (which is my favorite show), "The Office" (which I still like) and Law and Order SVU. SVU however is getting stale and Christopher Meloni leaving sort of dealt it a blow. L&O had a great run, it has been on TV in some form since 1990. The formula is old and it's tired, and SVU has had some ridiculous plots in the past year or so. I disagree about The Office, I think it can go another two to three years as long as Ed Helms stays with the series.
The only show I watch from CBS is "Mike and Molly". ABC "Modern Family" and "The Middle", on FOX "Raising Hope" (which is getting stupid and nearly unwatchable like "Earl" was). This TV season blows all the way around. None of it appeals to me whatsoever. I gave "Two Broke Girls" a shot, but turned it off after an episode (hate to do it since it has Garrett Morris).
TVFactFan 10-28-2011, 07:05 PM Well as long as they don't cancel the Office I'm cool
Goldilocks 10-29-2011, 08:48 AM That new show Grimm is really good! So maybe that will up the ratings.

I'm going to start getting impatient if the show doesn't get back to normal, like actually seeing them in the office and not seeing
kids or the family of certain characters.

Exactly, I want to see workplace situations starting next week.
ryan423 10-29-2011, 10:27 PM Once CHUCK is over, and COMMUNITY is cancelled, I won't have anything left on NBC to watch, and I'm okay with that!
CommonTater 10-30-2011, 12:22 PM It has been years since my family has watched anything on NBC. They went downhill years ago, IMO.
bencasey 10-31-2011, 11:14 AM NBC stands for NOTHING BUT CRAP!
SpenceOlchin 10-31-2011, 12:34 PM NBC has been doing a lot of promotion for "Rock Center With Brian Williams" which premieres tonight at 10.

People seem to think that it's doomed for failure. I'm taking a wait and see approach.
SpenceOlchin 10-31-2011, 01:59 PM NBC stands for NOTHING BUT CRAP!
Sure seems that way. It seems like it all started to go downhill when Friends ended in 2004.
SpenceOlchin 10-31-2011, 03:14 PM NBC doesn't have high ratings hope for "Rock Center With Brian Williams":

Pavan 10-31-2011, 07:24 PM Will be lucky to get a 2.0 18-49 rating.
MRPITT 10-31-2011, 07:39 PM I enjoy Whitney and Up All Night

Without football, the Peacock would have worse 18-49 ratings than Univision. NBC has also lost 800,000 total viewers this season, and not only does it not have a new hit but its three signature shows ("The Office," "SVU" and "Biggest Loser") are down significantly this year.
