Who here gets Antenna TV!! I just discovered we have it hear in NYC on WPIX digitial 11.4 Sadly I missed that its been here for a while. But....I love it...so many great old shows like Bachelor Father, Leave it To Beaver, Dennis The Menace, Father Knows Best, Burns and Allen, Gidget, The Monkees....and the list goes on...I've been having a blast.

Your excitement will slowly decrease over time like mine has
treky 10-18-2011, 08:54 PM it has, Sol? Why? I agree, ANTENNA TVs GREAT! So many shows that I haven't seen in YEARS! I just wish that most of them were on at more convient hours. I.E., Jack Benny and Burns & Allen at 2 and 3 am. Oh well.

I think it will get better once all the Norman Lear shows are gone
MrCleveland 10-18-2011, 09:20 PM I just hope Cox Cable can pick it up.

they're dropping all the Norman Lear shows? Where'd you hear that?
treky 10-19-2011, 12:22 AM I just wish they'd start showing The 3 Stooges again.
D-Dey 10-19-2011, 12:36 AM One thing I always found unusual about Antenna TV, was that when I had it, I used to get TV signals from other parts of the county. Besides the channels you'd expect from the New York Tri-State area, my family also go WTNH-Ch. 8 in New Haven, and occasionally some other stations in Connecticut. But on my TV, I'd frequently get stations from Providence, Rhode Island, Atlantic City, Vineland, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Dover, Delaware, Ocean City, Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland, and even Boston and Washington, DC!

I was saying that I want all the Norman Lear shows to be gone
born2late 10-19-2011, 01:26 AM Hey, at least you have it. I'm sure they will change their programming from time to time.
catlover79 10-19-2011, 04:16 AM Here in Cleveland it's channel 8.2 - I love it. :D
LUNCH 10-19-2011, 12:10 PM I also love it,now if only I can also get Me-tv they seem just as good.
SpenceOlchin 10-19-2011, 02:02 PM I love Antenna TV. It's easily my favorite network on tv. The only issue I have is that my affiliate (WPIX) runs a re-air of their 10PM newscast at 2am, so no Burns & Allen. :( Other than that, I have no issues. It's nice to see a channel with no permanent logo on the screen, popups or other distracting things. Plus, they show the credits w/o credit crunches or voiceovers. TV Land who? Now all I need is ME-TV. :)

(Maybe)..... but its gonna take a long long LONG time. And some shows I thought I would never see again...like Bachelor Father and Here Come The Brides. I was gonna buy a DVD set for Here Come The Brides and now I don't hve to.
Right now I'm like a kid in a candy store. Taping (DVD-ing) like a fiend. So many great shows that you can watch on a portable DVD player one day.
Also, I think they will rotate shows eventually,,,but one thing I do hope....that it doesn't get all crappy-assed the way Nick At Night did. But considering I can get it with just a digitial converter box (don't have cable)....well...right now I'm in heaven.

Me too!!! I love it so much I even love it more than mayo! (and that's hard to do!)
Mr. Television 10-19-2011, 06:27 PM One of the best channels on television. I just hope they don't sell out like most of the other channels have.
Pavan 10-19-2011, 07:15 PM I think it will get better once all the Norman Lear shows are gone
Once again as Bill Walton would say, where would you like the ball next time, Solomon? The Lear shows are popular and people like them. What if they added One Day at a Time and The Jeffersons? I guess they should remove those too?
Antenna TV is one of the best channels out there, yet you want to nitpick classics?

Well I have seen one improvement which is the friday night lineup. They air sitcoms on friday night now. Now if they can just KEEP Maude, and get rid of sanford and son and good times, the channel would be HOT

I don't like Good Times either (anything with Jimmy Walker makes me gag)
Some of Sanford and Son can be funny - I think Lawanda Page as Aunt Ester is a HOOT. Love the way she and Fred go at it.
Funny, I didn't think I'd be watching Maude that much, but some of it is really funny and Bea is always great no matter what she's in.
A couple of choice 80s shows would make this wonderful station even moreso.
