Atlanta Braves choke! Cardinals make it to the post season.
Brian Damage 09-29-2011, 12:08 AM Holy Crap!!!
Brian Damage 09-29-2011, 12:09 AM The Red Sox lose & The Rays Win
The Rays are going to October & the Sox have been eliminated
Tweety 09-29-2011, 12:13 AM Wow! Rays score 6 in the 8th inning to pull within a run of the Yanks 7-6... two out, three run homer by Longoria made it 7-6.
Two out, pinch HR by Johnson ties it at 7 in the 9th.
Rays win in 12 on a solo HR by Longoria.
Orioles were down 3-2 to the Sox with two out no one on in the bottom of the 9th .. back to back doubles tied the game at 3-3... then a single to LF wins it 4-3 for the Orioles. Former Rays player Carl Crawford was playing LF for the Sox, he tried to make a sliding catch on Andino's line drive, but ball didn't stick... if he catches it, they'd have gone to extra innings.
What a night!

I wore out my remote switching between all the games!!!
tiredmike59 09-29-2011, 12:23 AM cardinals should take peoples minds off the rams.
Jaqui-Michel 09-29-2011, 12:25 AM I guess this means my Mets are #2 on the choke list. Thanks Boston.
tiredmike59 09-29-2011, 12:40 AM Thanks Philly, for helping the deadbirds back into the playoffs, they couldn't have done it without you.

Ironically, the Cardinals will now face the Phillies in the playoffs.
That was a wild finish. Those were very disappointing finishes for the Red Sox and Braves, but you have to give credit to the Cardinals and Rays for never quitting. A lot had to right for them down the stretch to make it. The Yankees rested many of their regulars and used 11 pitchers, but you can't blame them.
Tough night for Red Sox Nation, but they will be back. Braves fan share their disappointment.
TVFactFan 10-02-2011, 11:59 AM Damm Brian, i had no idea this board was active when all that drama was going on wednesday night
Well the Cards are done if they lose tonight. Actually there is no NL team to eliminate the phillies this year
Cardinals, Brewers, and Diamondbacks? Give me a break. Like I always said, the phillies competition is in the AL and probably will see the Yankees again in the WS

I was at the Yankees/Tigers game this afternoon and was ejected from the stadium before the 7th inning. lol

why?
Brian Damage 10-02-2011, 09:37 PM why?
Long story short, there was a woman who was all dressed up in Tigers gear being very obnoxious. A Yankee fan turned around and told her to shut the F up. She refused and continued running her mouth and two guys dumped beer on her head....
The police were called and a big argument broke out and I took my phone trying to record this all and I was ejected . lol

So the Tigers were winning at the time which caused them to dumb the beer?
