Geologists have discovered a Fault line that runs from Virginia to New York. It goes under the White House. They've decided to call it Obama's Fault!

I am only about twenty miles from the epicenter, it was over pretty quick though. A lot of my junk fell of shelves and walls but that's about it.

I didn't feel it - the first I heard about it was when I was listening to the Indians game on the radio. The broadcasters, Tom Hamilton and Mike Hegan, were saying that the booth was shaking (the game was played in Cleveland). Then it was confirmed during the brief news update that there was an earthquake centered in VA.

OH Nuts!

I felt it slightly here in NYC at work. My desk wobbled a bit. We got evacuated from our building for abt an hr though. A precautionary measure I suppose.

Here's the clip of the Indians radio broadcasters, Tom Hamilton and Mike Hegan, as the earthquake was felt in Cleveland. (P.S. Shin-Soo Choo, who was the batter in this clip, went on to hit a 3-run, walk off home run to finish this game.)

Yeah, I was shocked when I heard there was an earthquake in Virgina. And especially one in the high-5 bracket. They do happen, but it's rare.

Looks like minimal damage and no lives lost so it could have been a lot worse.

I guess some people here in Michigan could feel it, but I never did.

What's the deal with these earthquakes, tornadoes, floods etc...?
Every day someone is getting hit by one, If I didn't know any better,I would say the earth is getting pissed off. " There's a bad moon on the rise "

I live in VA, and I felt it. My office shook and the chain link fence outside of my window REALLY shook. It was only about 5 seconds though. Damage has been minimal and all of Federal buildings were evacuated and the workers got to go home early.

Just waiting for this weekend's hurricane drama to commence...

I was in my computer chair in my apartment and thought I was shaking myself but everything around me was moving back and forth. I put my shoes on and got out of dodge. LOL.

Btw, Reverend Jim, the graphics in your posting are hurting my eyes along with other members. I'm NOT SURE if anyone has told you yet. ;)
