ThomasE 08-06-2011, 01:47 AM I remember the New Beaver airing Monday nights @ 6:35. I also remember "Father knows best" airing around this period as well @ 6:05 temporarily. TBS would air a different scheduling of different shows during the summer which I always loved.
mets82 08-06-2011, 09:40 PM Hard to believe the lineup then and the lineup now. I mean The Flintstones, of all things, on in mid afternoon. I dont think the New Leave it to Beaver has been on since its TBS days. Also, dont forget pro wrestling was a staple on TBS. WCW/NWA drew great ratings on TBS and I remember seeing commericals for Andy Griffith Show, National Geographic, New Leave it to Beaver etc.
LUNCH 08-13-2011, 02:17 PM TBS used to be a great channel.I often watched it back then. They also had other good classic shows like "Car 54 Where Are You" and many more. And when they ran shows off the clock(starting them 5 minutes later) it was NOT to add extra commercials,it was because unlike nowadays there was still true competition between tv stations. In a way TBS was the original tvland, when tvland was good of course.
AMackII 02-20-2018, 02:03 PM That's how the TBS schedule look like this during the 80s & the 90s when it didn't do daily binge blocks(2 hours or 3 hours) of any sitcom.
Good ol' Turner Time, starting five minutes after the half hour...
MikeLutton 02-20-2018, 04:43 PM i miss old TBS Schedules you know from 1990s
tlc38tlc38 02-20-2018, 05:35 PM I miss the :05 schedules!
I have fond memories of watching "Family Matters", Saved by the Bell", and "Mama's Family" on TBS.
stevea 02-20-2018, 05:36 PM When you look at this schedule, it just reminds you of another channel that's gone down the tubes.
mikey0581 02-20-2018, 06:02 PM In my opinion tbs shouldnt be a paid channel, it should be an on the air channel. its like antenna tv or me tv basically.
mets82 02-20-2018, 07:34 PM TBS isn't that bad. I mean is it like it was 30 years ago? No, but they do have Conan, Samantha Bee, MLB and The NCAA Tournament.
AMackII 02-21-2018, 08:45 PM TBS isn't that bad. I mean is it like it was 30 years ago? No, but they do have Conan, Samantha Bee, MLB and The NCAA Tournament.
Wait, Mets82. did you like TBS because of the NCAA Tourney, MLB, Conan & Samantha Bee?
stevea 02-21-2018, 09:03 PM TBS's problem is the same as TV Land, Cartoon Network, and many others--hours and hours of reruns of the same program. Four or five hours of Big Bang Theory, same with Married With Children, Friends, on and on. With Cartoon Network, it should be Teen Titans Go Away--take away that show and there'd be nothing left.
It's a copycat formula, one does it, they all do it. I'd give Antenna TV kudos for breaking the pattern, totally.
mets82 02-22-2018, 12:59 AM Wait, Mets82. did you like TBS because of the NCAA Tourney, MLB, Conan & Samantha Bee?
I don't watch Samantha Bee. I used to watch Conan. I do watch The NCAA Tourney and MLB.
AMackII 02-22-2018, 04:54 AM I don't watch Samantha Bee. I used to watch Conan. I do watch The NCAA Tourney and MLB.
I agree with you on the MLB & The NCAA Tournament.
Torgo 02-22-2018, 11:55 AM I miss the old TBS schedule, don't miss the annoying 5 min thing, watch something on TBS then have to miss the first 5 mins if you want to watch another channel.
