It was "A Boy and His Doll" (season 9-episode 11). You're right -- it was a lousy
episode.

I am just up to season 7, and just posted how I think with end of season 6, begin of season 7, the show is starting to go down hill anyways.

Their son was adopted. I may be totally mistaken, but I thought I read something about the actor playing the boy being related to a cast member... ?
