Dude, I don't know about you but one of my biggest pet peeves is when I'm talking and NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME. I don't mean just talking to hear myself talk, I mean when I want to say something and people don't listen to me.

What else is a pet peeve is when people joke about something RIGHT in front of me and won't tell me the joke. Like if someone said "hey Chester...remember the chicken? hee hee hee...and the TURTLE...OMG!!!" Today that bugged me when my roommate said "Tommy, remember the poster? ha ha ha WHOOSH!" and I didn't know what the HECK she was talking about right in front of me...then she said "oh...sorry, long story" and walked off. :livid:

Then of course when people mispronounce names and such...and pick on my friends for liking a moo...and when people eat cow...and when my friend Jessie tells me Mikey (her bf) leaves her out of family matters---OOOOOOH that irks me!

TELL ME...what irks you? What makes you mad? Teachers? Family? Friends?

My social studies teacher makes me FURIOUS!!! URGH! Yesterday, I told her ((Ms. K)) that I couldn't see from the back of the room, and she says "oh yeah, I know...I've got to move you then, I'll move you to...to...." and then SHE LEAVES THE ROOM! Geee....that's nice...I can't see the damn board and she leaves the room. And today, she doesn't even mention a thing about it!

My friends "so-called friends" bugs me too. Today they were talking about this guy named David and Ben and Brandon and stuff...I asked them who they were and they say, "oh, it's no one"...urgh!

My biggest pet peeve is when people leave other people out. Everyday of my life I'm left out of stuff and you know what? It's not fun. that includes jokes, secrets, etc. I undersand people have inside jokes and secrets and stuff but they don't need to do it in front of other people. It really hurts when people start talking about something right smack in front of you and then they walk off and say "Sorry... can't tell". For me, the worst thing in life is being lonely. I actually have a fear of being lonely. It makes me so sad and frightened to have no one to talk to, or to be discluded and stuff. Now like I said before, people can't tell people everything, but they should call them or something. Don't do it right smack in front of friends, where you know it can hurt the other person. It sucks to be lonely.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when a teacher gives homework and never collects it. That's what my English teacher ALWAYS does. So far she has only collected about 4 or 5 assignment. Then she gave us this really big project to do and then told us that she's not going to correct them. THat pissed me off, cuz I put a lot of effort in it. THen I don't like it when I lone someone something and they never give it back, then when you say no they get all mad.

People who promise one thing and then forget. It makes people feel left out!

People who try to take on more work than they can possibly handle, working until 3:00am in the morning, getting up at 6:00am, drving around town doing meaningless things for ungrateful people.

My biggest pet peeve at the moment is computers that freeze up. Mine has been doing that a lot lately. I'll be right in the middle of reading an interesting post and the darn thing will freeze up. It's sooo frusterating.

*nail polish peeling* (This is a crazy pet peeve of mine)- Everytime I get like one chip on my nail polish I have to take the polish off all 10 nails and repaint them over again. Especially annoying if I'm at school and a big chunk of nail polish chips off. I get a band-aid to put over my fingernail until I can get home and repaint again. lol

liars-I know everybody tells a few small lies every once in awhile, but don't get in my face and lie to me everytime you talk to me. It just sickens me.

I really hate when the teacher asks a really I mean really really easy question and it takes forever for the person she calls on to answer the question. Whats worse is that when I know the answer she doesn't call on me because she wants to "Give the others a chance" :mad: That makes me so mad that I just want to scream.

Also when I have to work with a group on a school project. Usually I get people who don't care at all about their grades or about their report cards and care more about their "friends". Just last month my dumb partner spilled glue on it and we had to start all over again! Which meant that we were behind the class so we had to come in at lunch and I actually had to do my homework at home instead of at lunch like normally would. We didn't even get a good grade. Which brought my grade down to a B! :smash:

They cut out the "Lifestyles" segment of Headline News, which always looks very interesting but I can never watch it! If I wanted to watch local news I wouldn't be watching CNN in the first place!

Those three definately annoy me too!!! Some people say "damn" in every sentence and its so uneccessary and annoying.

Some other stuff that annoys me...

oh, i also hate when you are watching tv and your sister walks by and changes the channel without asking. and also when you're watching tv and you are sitting on the couch and your sister goes in front of the screen and starts dancing. That is soooooo annoying! Also when you make something for someone and it takes you a really long time and then they go "oh, cool!" and then they take it home and then you go to their house and you see it under their bed or something. lol That's all for now.

SAME HERE!!! They always cut out the 10 most interesting minutes in the news just to bring me my local news! I hate when they do that too. And ironically, it's my local CBS who does that too! :lol:

Britain (or the UK - whichever you wanna call it) is made up of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Even though they all make up Britain - Scotland, England and Wales are all separate countries in their own right.

Now these are guys that are friends, I know because oftentimes I'll see them come in together, but when they sit down they have to sit really far apart. I have observed this on several occasions. The only thing I can think of to explain this is that these guys think that if they sit next to each other when there is room to spread out that they will be seen as gay. That's not always true. I cannot even tell you how often I have had to sit through listening to my friends bitch endlessly about how The Family Guy is available on DVD in Britain but not in the US, and the fact that you would need a Region 2 player and a PAL TV to play them even if you imported them....

Yeah, I hate it even more when people stop their cars in the middle of a one lane street to talk to someone on the side of the road!! This happens quite frequently in the campus area.

Know it Alls- I knew this one girl that I tried so hard to avoid in school because of the fact she had this know it all attitude. You're wrong, I'm right so don't bother saying your opinion. I swear if I ever act this way, I hope to God somebody slaps the hell out of me or something.

Liars- Okay, nobody is perfect. I tell a few small lies too, but don't get in my face and tell me some big lie and expect me not to find out about it. The know it all I mentioned above also had a lying problem. Whenever she told one of her fabricated lies, I would always think of what I was going to wear on my next trip to the moon.

Braggers- I've got this, and this. Did I show you this? Daddy is going to by me my own yacht tomorrow. I'm happy for you, but don't shove it in everybody's face.

People that has a little bit of authority, and act like they are God or something- Principals at my school used to do this. I guess when they are named principal or vice principal they crowned you God too? The Ass. principal def. had a problem with his authority. The whole senior class booed at him everytime he talked. lol

When my nail polish peels- God, I almost had a nervous breakdown at school when my nail polish started peeling. I'm a nail polish kind of person, so I guess I've grown accustomed to seeing something on my fingernails. I hate the way my fingernails look plain. I remember in Home Ec. one started to peel. I didn't have any finger nail polish with me. I didn't have a band aid. Nobody else had a band aid. I was tempted to put white out on my fingernail until I could high tail it home to put some nail polish on. Yeah, I know this one sounds freaky. lol

I guess I better stop here, or it will look like everything to me is a pet peeve. lol

I hate it when toys and posters for a movie comes out before the movie does. You see it now more than ever with the summer blockbusters.

Laundry.

I live in an apartment building that has washers and dryers in the basement, and I hate it when people leave their stuff in the machines. I'm talking hours! How can you forget you put clothes in the washing machine?
I used to feel bad about taking people's stuff out of the machines, but now, forget it!

Oh yeah, that's happened to me before. It pisses me off so much. I remembered that happened to me one time when I was recording one of the All in the Family Fandemonium things. I'm usually scanning their groceries and trying to think of the code for some weird azzed looking vegetable and some old man standing there is like, "Uhhhh, I want some of them there, uhhhhhhh...Marlboro lites..uhhhh no, wait.." I'm thinking, "Oh Gawd, you old geez! Spit it out!!" b/c there's usually an 8 mile long line of frustrated looking customers. Then I gotta hunt down the keys to the cigarette case and the the other cashier usually has them... (sighs) Oh my, lol!

It also bugs me when people go to a fan message board and trash whatever is being talked about and the people who like it. Someone named Anna4 has been doing that at the Scrubs message board here. Yes yes yes yes yes!!! I know! Its so annoying! I mean, you dont see me going to the Friends board, and Cheers to make a post as to why I hate the shows or whatever. No one cares to know, people just do it to piss eachother off. Check out the ChitChat Music section. You cant even have a good thread without it breaking into SOME kinda of arguement.

My top three pet peeve's are:

1. When I see and hear people smooching and kissing and talking mushy talk to each other in public. That makes me gag.
2. When my dog chews and licks herself around me.
3. When children and infants make noise in the movie theater and their mothers don't take them out. That gets annoying.
4. When I see somebody picking their nose.
5. When some troll comes across these message boards looking to cause trouble (hence the name)

That is annoying, and they are only trying to stir up ****. Ignore them if they do it again. I've never went to the Scrubs board so I don't know if you guys replied or what. If you did reply, don't the next time. They'll get bored and go away sooner or later.

My #1 pet peeve is when people read over your shoulder. My God I swear I could just hit the person in the face cause it's no damn annoying. Especally when they read aloud!

I agree. I hate it when people are like "How can you watch that TV show? It sucks! Only stupid people watch it!" Ummm, maybe you think it's a stupid show, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it!

I know really, This one woman on the bus actually makes the gagging sign if she doesn't like my shows. I don't do that when she talks about the Partridge Family. It's not one of my favorites, but it's okay. Even if it wasn't, I don't do that to her.

I try to avoid talking to people like that. I figure that if they don't want to respect my opinion, then I don't want to bother hearing theirs.

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about there. I have one of the most annoying printers ever. You have to have the paper loaded in just right or all these lights will start to blink and it's just a pain everytime I try to print something. Sometimes I have the paper in just right and the damn thing still blinks. Argh! I've almost threw the thing up against the wall.

Oh man, I was at the local drugstore yesterday, and I only bought three items. I was in the store for over half an hour. Know why? Out of four registers, only one was open. There were two people in line ahead of me. The guy at the counter paid for a small purchase with a $100 bill and the clerk needed change. He calls the supervisor over. It took her about ten minutes to get her lazy butt to the register, then took her another 5-10 minutes to get the change. (This is not a large or busy store. It's a small-town drugstore.) Then the lady in front of me who had a basketfull of items wouldn't let me get ahead of her, even though I had far fewer items than her and was paying with cash. Of course, she took forever and had a problem with a price and the clerk had to call the supervisor back over. I had to listen to them argue for another 10 minutes. Then, the woman waited until after her order had been rung up to start looking for her checkbook and write out her check, which took her awhile. All this time, no one bothered to open up another register, even though people were starting to line up behind me. If I didn't so desperately need the items I was buying, I would have thrown them on the counter and walked out.

Sometimes, I don't know what's worse: working in a store or shopping in one.

When somebody eats almost a whole thing of something I like but leaves only a little bit and puts it in the fridge or cupboard.

Another one is when I post something and someone posts the same thing but in a different thread. For example, on the CSI board, I posted a thread asking what episodes from both shows are your favorites and why. Sometime later, he posts the same thing. My thread was clearly visible, he wouldn't have missed it. He doesn't do this only to me but to everybody also. A few months ago, somebody posted a thread on this board about the Dell dude Steve (I think that is his name) being arrested. Someone posted the same thing. Brett posted a third one with the exact same topic apparently without looking first and several people were peeved.

I know some of you may think that I, being a moderator, shouldn't be talking about members like that but, you know what? I'm not the only moderator who doesn't like him and one of them even told me through a PM that he acts like a moron. I will not name those moderators. Another thing is that he brings this on himself. He even got banned for Christs sake.

Back to the duplicate thread thing. Many topics are posted each day. Whenever I am about to post a thread, I look through the previous 4 or 5 pages to make sure the same thing isn't posted. There are a lot of people that don't want to have to search through pages of threads, I know that. It just bugs me if a thread I posted is still on the first or second page and somebody posts another with the exact same thing.

Now that Spring is here, my thoughts are on sunny afternoons and clear Saturday mornings riding my bike in Central Park or along the West Side greenway.

Oh god, I hate when I go on a website to look for reviews for a product i am thinking of buying or borrowing(cassette, DVD,book VHS, or CD), and the reviews just say something like "I loved it. It was a great thing to listen to/watch/read. I don't want to hear their opinions. I want a rundown of the product. i want a summary of the product, not just someone's opinion of it!. :mad:

* NY drivers

* Snow!! :mad: (and you don't want NY drivers and snow together)

* hitting every red light when late

* my favorite t.v. show not being shown because of some sports game on

* people who think their opinion is the only right one and they shove it down peoples' throats

I would had lost it... I mean, jotted down her tag number and claim she was flicking me off and making offensive jestures, and I was simply trying to get away and she would let me...

I am getting so annoyed with kids who don't put their name on their paper. My mom and 2 of my sisters are all teachers. Right now, I am grading and entering grades for my mom as grades are due Thursday. I can't tell you how much longer it is taking me to try to figure out who in the hell's paper this is when there is no name on it.

Oh yeah, another pet peeve of mine related to grammar.

Hearing people assume that if a person is from another country, than the language they speak is the adjective form of that country: i.e.,

If you are from America, the language you speak is "American".
If your are from Mexico, you speak "Mexican".
If you are from Canada, you speak "Canadian."
If you are from Costa Rica, you speak "Costa Rican."

I was appalled at church one time some months ago and one lady who was a missionary to Haiti told us that kids in a school sang Happy Birthday in both English and in "Haitian"!! :confused: I wanted to shout, they don't speak "Haitian" in Haiti, they speak FRENCH!!!!! :mad:

Lately, I've been getting irritated with people who don't wait their turn in line. I'm up at the counter at a c-store being waited on and somebody comes in and holds out $20 to the cashier and says Pump 4, then walks out, like I wasn't even standing there. Um, excuse me, I was here first. I would never do that to anybody else. I would stand in line. Just because one is just getting gas is no reason to go ahead of me. I let one guy have it one time, I was getting my things rung up and he comes in and from behind me starts handing his credit card to the cashier and says whatever pump he was on. I turned around and yelled "Can you wait just 30 seconds while this guy waits on me first"?!! He backed off and the cashier asked me if I was having a bad day, and I said not until I came in here!!

Speaking of customers, another pet peeve will and always be bad customer service.

Lastly, traffic lights that aren't sensored especially late at night. I'll be driving and the light ahead of me turns red, and there's nobody else around. At 1 in the morning. So I'm sitting there like a schmuck. Just feel like running it.

That's because the schools don't teach the correct spelling. So they grow up learning it the wrong way.
