Hey all.... here it is coming from my point of view.... my fan fic on "The Division" JINNY STYLE!!

Early Monday Morning

Setting: The wind is kicking up blowing the clouds away.. its a cool 64 degrees in San Francisco.

Scene One: At the Division

McCafferty(On the Phone): Yeah yeah I know, are you sure you're alright though?

Amanda: Yes mommy dearest!!(sarcastically) I'm fine!! dont worry about me!! goodbye now!!!

McCafferty: I'll talk to you later honey.... bye. (Puts down the phone) oh geez.... C.D. get in here right away... good news...

De Lorenzo: Yes? What is it?

McCafferty(gets up): Murder in 47th Street... woman there got supposely beaten to death by a golf club last night at around 11:30pm.... threw her in the garbage in the back alley... I want you to contact her coworkers right away... here are the numbers (gives CD the numbers and addresses) They cant find killer but they are suspecting the husband due to his past history of domestic abuse...

De Lorenzo: And thats the good news?

McCafferty: You have a new partner.... Nathan Russo... he'll be making his appearance tomorrow in the meantime get started with this case.

:: CD Exits ::

Scene Two: Corner of Maple St. by a small store

Setting: Magda Interrogating a young man

Ramirez: So you didnt see them after all?

Young Boy: No.... I had thought I did... but it was so late last night

Ramirez: LISTEN..... sir..... dont be playing any games now... you either saw the couple in this picture or you didnt.. (waves the picture around)

Young Boy: No I'm sorry to mislead you... I have to deliver these groceries so... im sorry to leave this sudden

:: The Young Boy Leaves::
:: All of a Sudden.... the sun comes out of the light gray clouds and casts a light shade of Jinny's hair and she walks down up to Magda::

Extead: No luck?

Ramirez: No.... I thought for sure I had something with that kid... but it was just a waste of time

Extead: No it wasn't.... look! :: The Kid heads toward the Ferry in the bay area instead of uptown where he said::

Ramirez: We got him.... lets go (Magda and Jinny cruise over to the bay area)

Extead: Captain is gonna be happy about this one Mag I'm telling ya.... gold stars..... Inspector of the month.... ::laughs::

Ramirez: Not if I can help it!! After I turned Gabriel down I need something wonderful to happen to me... not that you dont deserve it Jin.... cause I know these past couple of weeks havent been good for you.... with everything...

Extead: Yeah I know what you're saying Mag....dont worry about me.

Extead: Look there he is.... lets go after him

:: car pulls up by the dock where there is a car ferry loading up::
:: the boy is seen carrying cargo onto the ferry::

Extead: HEY! HEY! SFPD!

Young Boy: I told you I dont know anything... :: the ferry slowly closes up as it journeys off across the bay::

Extead(to herself): Damn it!

Ramirez: Don't worry Jin.... We'll get him.... I have the number to his parents...

Extead: yeah... listen.... mind if we go make that call now? I really need to be busy... if you know what I mean?

Ramirez: yeah.... lets do it... :: drives back uptown::

Scene Three: At the Division

Raina: Captain..... you needed... ALL these papers .... delivered.. by when?

McCafferty: Right now... get on it.... now.

Raina: yes... ok .... I'll have them delivered right away( she goes past Jinny's desk.. and notices a card.... she starts to read it.. it says: Call A Sponsor: 1-800-556-4596)...
:: Suddently Out of Nowhere.... Jinny grabs the Card::

Raina: Oh... Jinny.... hi.... I didnt know you were here.... I was just --

Extead: Just mind your own damn business alright? Didnt the captain tell you.. its automatic unemployment for invading one's privacy here?

Raina: I'm sorry Jinny... it just brought back memories... i had a friend that suffered from---

Extead: I dont want to hear your biography right now... I dont appreciate you looking through my stuff either... what I do on my own time is my business.. nobody elses

Raina: I understand that... sorry..... :: leaves to go deliver the papers:

Extead (On The Phone): Yeah.... Jeremy? Yeah... hey... how you doing? Listen.... I need something from you right away.... what time? 8:00? I'll be there... Goodbye. (Jinny leaves with a suspicious look on her face)

WELL.... I'M GONNA WRITE MORE TOMORROW SO IF YOU WANT TO HEAR MORE.. ITS COMING ON THE WAY... AGAIN A LITTLE SLOW.. BUT IT'LL GET A LOT BETTER I PROMISE.

::Scene Four::

Setting: Nice sunny afternoon... clouds come from a distance 64 degrees

:: CD interviews a woman by the name of Mary Thompson::

Mary:: She never had any real threats... she was always a kind lady... had some sort of problem with the husband but i cant be so certain.. ya know?

De Lorenzo:: You say that nobody else would of laid a hand on her? You just assume the husband had something to do with it?

Mary:: Yeah.... well.... hold on a minute. I think.. I think... I remember a time when she was being hassled by a strange man by the name of James Macky... he's our truck driver that takes the furniture over to the store. Now I dont think James would...

De Lorenzo:: Why was this happening?

Mary:: She had a confrontation with him all last month... then he just stopped working for us... I dont know why

De Lorenzo:: Thankyou(leaves the scene)

::Scene Five::
::Anchorside::
Setting: The night is clear and its around 8:00pm.... 59 Degrees

Extead(comes walking in): Hi Jeremy

Jeremy(smiles): Hi Jinny.... have a seat.

Extead: So, have things been going alright for you?

Jeremy: yes, I'm mainly concerned about you though Jinny

Extead: Should I feel Special? (smiles)

Jeremy: You've been back for a week now and you havent called me in 5 days.... I thought we made a deal that we would call each other every other day.

Extead: Yeah I know.... I've been busy lately.... with this case and all... I've been at my dad's house a lot.. and it makes me feel better.

Jeremy: Ok... just promise me.. you'll call every other day like we planned?

Extead: I will.... dont worry... listen... my friend Magda asked me to watch over her son Ben... so I have to be there in about 20 minutes

Jeremy: Thats fine... I just wanted to make sure everything was ok Jinny. I dont want you to feel like you cant reach for help here.

Extead: Dont worry.... if something happens to me... You'll be the first person I call. I have to get going.... I'll call you tomorrow

:: Jinny exits Anchorside::

::Scene Six::
:: Magda's appartment::
:: Jinny surprises them walking in on their conversation::

Ben: JINNY!!!
Extead: Hey Ben!! (gives Ben a great big hug)
Extead: Are we gonna have fun tonight or what?
Ben: Ha! If you do my homework!!
Ramirez: Now Ben, I'll be back in a couple of hours, just behave yourself like you always do ok?
Ben: Yes mom (hugs and kisses his mom)
::Magda walks up to Jinny::
Ramirez: Thankyou for doing this... it really means a whole lot to me
Extead: I know Mag... go have fun!
Ramirez: Fun? not too likey... (laughs)
:: Magda leaves::
Extead: Ok Ben, crack open the books let me show you how...
::Scene Seven::
setting: Chez Camero Restaurant

Ramirez: This is nice, a good meal for a change... us together.

Gabriel: why?

Ramirez: It's too sudden Gabriel. I have my son to think about I cant just say I do and have a wedding like its no big change

Gabriel: We can change together... slowly... graduatly.... dont you trust me?

Ramirez: Gabriel, listen you know I love you.. and you know how much I care about you being in Ben's life and all. I just gotta give this some time.

Gabriel: I understand that... its just when you blew me off last week... i had thought I lost you for good... I mean you never called...

Ramirez: No.. no.. I didnt.... I mean I got a little scared thats all. Listen Gabe.... I just want you to know that I love you and that will never change....
:: They hug and kiss::
::Scene Seven::
Setting Magda's Apartment
::Ben is asleep in bed and Jinny is watching some tv on the couch::
:: A violent Earthquake appears shaking the walls and Jinny wakes up immediately::
Extead: Ben!! Ben!! Stay where you are!! dont run to me!!
:: she gets to bens room and grabs him and holds his head::
:: the books fall off the shelves and the lamp falls to the ground and breaks.... shattering dishes come crashing down from the cabinets... the whole place sounds like thunder...suddently.. everything stops... the ground stops shaking... and everything is quiet::

Extead: Are you ok?
Ben: Yeah I think so...
Extead(grabs her phone): .... Mag? ... yeah Ben and I are ok... no... just minor damage... oh wait... you might want to think about getting some more dishes.. yeah dont worry I'll be with him the whole time.... ok .... bye
Extead(hangs up the phone): Ben, you mom is gonna be here in like 10 minutes.. so dont worry about a thing just try to stay calm alright?
Ben: Ok Jinny... can we watch tv?
Extead: sure we can..... we gotta see what kind of earthquake it was and everything... ::turns on the news::
:: Ben sees smoke coming from the door.... the smokes starts to increase greatly::
Ben: Jinny!! LOOK! SMOKE!! what do we do? We have to go! There's fire!!
Extead: Ok... dont panic Ben.... ::hears the fire engine arrive::
Extead(looks out the window): Help!! Help!! we're up here and we're stuck!! get us a ladder!!
Fireman1: dont worry we have it coming up there
:: a yellow flame shows up on the carpet::
Ben: HURRY! HURRY!
Fireman2: Ok... the ladder is all set... now.. listen... I'm going up for the kid first.... you stay as close as you can get to the window.. try to stay calm alright?
Extead: Ok just hurry!
Fireman2(climbs up to the top by the window and gets Ben and slowely brings him down from the ladder): Ok listen to me Ben... just take one step at a time alright? Take your time.. dont feel rushed..
Ben: al... al... alright
Fireman2: That's right... that's right... put your right foot there.. ok... take your left foot and put it there...
:: after 5 minutes, Ben safetly makes it down the ladder.... Magda runs up to him and gives him a hug::
Ramirez: OMG are you ok? Do you need some water? Are you cold honey?
Ben: No I'm fine mommy... just dont go anywhere ok?
Ramirez: No... im staying right here baby... dont you worry.
:: Gabriel hugs them both::
Gabriel: How are you doing Ben? Are you ok? No scratches or anything?
Ben: No dad, I'm alright. :: hugs him::
:: Jinny is just about off the ladder::
Ramirez: JINNY!!! OVER HERE!!
Extead: Are you guys alright?
Ramirez: Yeah we're fine now... how about you?
Extead: Yeah I'm fine
:: Firemen hose down the apartments only to discover that the other apartment next door started the fire from the earthquake::
Fireman3: You're lucky.... the appartment didnt burn all up... the carpet is ruined though and you might have to get the place repainted.. but other than that... you're fine.
Ramirez: Thankyou so very much....
:: Fireman3 leaves back to the scene::
Extead: listen you guys... you stay for me the rest of the night and we'll take care of this tomorrow.... :: They all walk up to the car and get in::
Ramirez: thanks Jin... I really appreciate it...
Extead: No problem... its been a long night.
:: as 12:30am approaches.... the clouds start to clutter up and the moon can no longer been seen.... They drive away leaving a drenched apartment behind:::(

SCENE NINE

Setting: Cool Thursday Morning 61 Degrees.... the sky is cloudy... like its gonna rain
AT THE SMITH'S HOUSE

JINNY: We've been wondering why your son refuses to tell us everything he knows about what went down last friday night.

MRS. SMITH: Why ... Jordan has been truthful I dont know why he would lie.

JINNY: ok ok ... you saying he is telling the truth? I dont buy that for a second Mrs. Smith. Listen to me.... either you get your son downstairs now... or I'll get a warrant ready.... its a felony to lie to a police officer.

MRS SMITH: Very well then.... JORDAN!!! JORDAN!! There's some woman here that would like to ask you a few questions.... :: paces back and forth nervously::

JORDAN: Yeah... what you want? I already told you what I know.

JINNY(brings him to another room): Listen, I know a liar when I see one... You're our only hope to shed new light on this case... I promise there will not be a penalty for telling the truth here.

JORDAN: I saw the man who killed the couple. He was a young guy.... around mid 20s I'd say.... he had dark hair... almost black.. green eyes.. in the dark when i saw them... and he was wearing a suit and tie... I think he saw me.. and I was scared to tell anyone about it... I was afraid of my own safety.

JINNY: Listen Jordan... what you're telling me is really helping these couple's families deal with their grief of losing their kids... you know? This couple has been missing for days now... and we need to know what happend to them... Do you understand?

JORDAN: Yeah... I know him.... he worked at Fresh Fish Shop by the harbor.... but after then crime was commited.. he hasnt been seen since... But I know.. that he drives a camero.... red... and he never goes without his car... and he left it behind cause the other day i was delivering some Groceries and saw it parked outside his house...

JINNY: Thankyou thats all i need to know... are you sure he was the one that did it?

JORDAN: Yes I'm sure... I hope you catch him

JINNY(Smiles): Thanks a lot you really helped me out a lot kid you know that?
:: Jinny leaves the house calling the captain and telling the captain that Jordan is part of the crime and to get her a warrant for his arrest::

SCENE TEN
Setting: Park ... sunny.... clear blue skies... 67 degrees
:: Jinny walking with Teddy::

TEDDY: So how long have you been sober?

JINNY: 95 days sober

TEDDY: wow... thats sure an accomplishment from the last time I saw you

JINNY: Yeah? When did you see me last?

TEDDY: Nevermind about that.... what's important is that you're fine

JINNY: Teddy.... come on.... was it at a bar? Did you see me with a guy or something?

TEDDY: Look Jinny... youre clean and sober now... does it really make a difference whether I saw you with another man or not?

JINNY: No.... Just tell me something... do you hate me?

TEDDY: No.... I dont hate you Jinny.... things just didnt work out for us. I wanted them so bad to... cause I truely cared about you alot... and I wanted to ignore the fact that you had a problem.... because i cared about you so much

JINNY: Teddy.... things have been going great for me.... I jog every day for 30 minutes.... I eat right... my appartment has been looking pretty decent so far.... I'm moving on with my life you know?

TEDDY: Jinny.... can I ask you a question?

JINNY: What?

TEDDY: Why did you want to talk to me?

JINNY: Because I need closure from you... i havent seen you in like almost 4 months... and wanted to know if we can still be friends and talk to each other about stuff

TEDDY(smiles): Well... that can be arranged.... shall we go eat lunch?

JINNY: Sure just as long as it isnt Anchorside.... I'm really getting sick of their Tuna Melts:: laughs::

TEDDY: Sure thing:)

SCENE ELEVEN
Setting: midday 65 degrees somewhat cloudy... gusts of wind at around 20 miles per hour..
::OVER AT JAMES MACKY'S HOUSE::

CD: Excuse me... are you James Macky?
JAMES(all surprised): Yeah... what you want?
CD: SFPD YOURE UNDER ARREST FOR THE MURDER OF HELEN KEPLER!!
JAMES(Starts to run down the hallway): I dont know what you
re talking about
:: CD runs after James... he goes down the stairs and out of the appartment complex... CD follows not too far off.... he knocks down some trash cans.... CD jumps over the trash cans... James heads up to a store then goes in and whips out a gun::
JAME: Listen you.... if you dont stop right there... this guy is gonna have his brains blown away... you get it?
CD: Dont do anything stupid James.. just put the gun down and let the innocent citizens go free
:: All of a sudden cop cars swarm all over the whole store::
CD: Listen James.... just put the gun down now.... you hear me?
JAMES: I didnt mean to kill that B****... she was being reallly mean to me just because I stole some furniture... she threatened to take away my job!!
CD: Listen... James.... this is not the answer.... you arent thinking clearly ... now hand me the gun
JAMES: NO!! you better tell the cops to let me go... or else one of these people arent gonna make it home tonight
:: gets ready to fire::
CD: Alright listen... just let me talk to the chief officer and I'll let him know what you want... is that a deal?
JAMES: Fine.... hurry up
:: CD goes and reaches for her phone.. but instead takes out her gun and gets ready to shoot him.. unfortunately it barely misses James.. and James starts to fire his gun off... and CD trys to duck cover but she ends up getting hit in the stomach... Finally the cops roll in from behind the store and captures James and takes him in.... an ambulance is ready to take CD to the hospital for gun shot wounds...::

SCENE TWELVE
Setting: hospital... everyone is there in the waiting room
JINNY: Pain you never felt in your life
MAGDA: I cant believe CD could be so careless... what was she thinking?
JINNY: Well she probably wanted to get the bastard Mag... I would of done the same thing... except i would of hit the guy.
NATE: This isnt the time to be making jokes about this
JINNY: Who said anything about me joking... i was serious
NATE: I should of been there..... if I would of been there... maybe I could of ...
JINNY: Could of what... prevented her from using her gun? Nate.. dont blame yourself for this.... this stuff happens all the time... we just gotta be prepared to handle it
MAGDA: I left Ben with Gabe.... gosh.... I havent been spending any time with him lately Jin.... I just feel so guilty and all this stress over the apartment and now CD.... I dont know if I can handle all this rignt now
JINNY: Its ok Mag... :: hugs Mag:: everything will be all right... you'll see
:: Doctor walks in with some good news::
DOCTOR: Well.. she's ready for visitors but only two at a time... who would like to go first?
MAGDA: I will...
NATE: So will I... is that alright with you Jinny?
JINNY: Yeah... you guys go ahead... I'll be fine
:: They both go into CD's room::
MAGDA( almost in tears): How you feeling CD?
CD(softely): I'm doing alright.... been better.. but im strong... I'll pull through
NATE: I'm so sorry CD... I should of been there to help you out
CD: No.... really Nate.. its ok... you had to get ahold of some documents... besides there wasnt really anything you could of done... I'm very stuborn ::laughs.. but quickly stops..::
MAGDA: I hope you feel better... what did the doctors say?
CD: They said I should be out of here but next week.... they have to remove the bullet from my stomach area...... I was very thankful it didnt hit any of my vital organs.... I should of worn my bullet proof vest.... how professional of me... Captain is gonna kick my butt for that
NATE: I'm just glad you're ok :: gives CD a kiss::
CD: Me too.... me too...

SCENE THIRTEEN
Setting: hospital.... Jinny waits for the two to walk out of the room when she is surprised to see her sponsor Jeremy here
JINNY: Jeremy.... what are you doing here?
JEREMY: Kate called me... she told me you were here and probably could use someone to talk to
JINNY: OK wait a minute... how did she know about you? I cant be too certain she did it all out of the good of her heart...
JEREMY: Accidental you see.... i called the division ... and your captain answered it........ and told her that i needed to talk to you..and she told me that you were here
JINNY: oh... so she doesnt know that you're my....
JEREMY: sponsor
JINNY: oh good... last woman in the world I would tell... we arent exactly on good terms right now...but whatever... lets get out of this depressing hospital for a few....
:: They Walk Out of the Hospital to go to a coffee shop across the street "to talk"::

Thanks for your good comments guys :)) I'm so new at this and I always think everyone is gonna hate my writing. LOL well im gonna write some more later on tonight so you guys can read the next part tomorrow or later tonight. The funny thing.. not extremely weird but ironic is when wrote about CD chasing down that guy in the store and getting shot by him and last nights episode.... CD chases the guy and the guy hurts her by biting her but i just thought wow you know i just got done writing how CD got hurt and stuff LOL anyways... I actually made Raina in my fan fiction kind of nosey... but she is totally gonna change drastically in the coming parts of my story .... :)

SCENE THIRTEEN

setting: coffee shop across from the hospital
(Jinny and Jeremy sit together discussing what happened to CD)

JINNY(STRESSED OUT): I cant stay here long. They're going to wonder where I am and I really want to visit CD before we all leave, Jeremy.

JEREMY(NERVOUSLY): I can't believe this is happening to me.

JINNY(CONFUSED): What are you talking about?

JEREMY: I think im falling for you Jinny.

JINNY: Jeremy... listen to me, you don't know me. You dont know my family. You really don't want to get involved with me. Sponsors are not suppose to date each other.

JEREMY: We can help each other.... we're both alcoholics and...

(Jinny gets up)

JEREMY: Jinny wait a second...

JINNY: You know what? SHOVE IT!

(Jinny walks back to the hospital)

SCENE FOURTEEN
setting: hospital waiting room

(Jinny sees everyone else ready to leave)

MAGDA(WORRIED): Jinny? Where were you?

NATE: Yeah we looked all over the hospital for you.

JINNY: You guys worry too much. I'm out of here.

MAGDA: Jinny what's wrong?

JINNY: What is this? Lets Interrogate Jinny Day? Yeah Mag, I was over at the nearest bar getting drunk while you were with CD. See you all later

(Sarcastically, Jinny walks away leaving Nate and Magda confused)

NATE: What's with her?

MAGDA: I dont know, but I'm sick of it.

NATE(GRINS): So, you want to try the coffee shop across the street?.... my treat.

MAGDA: Well..... sure why not. I'm so tired from all this running around tonight. I've had one hell of a week.

(Magda and Nate leave to the coffee shop)

SCENE FIFTEEN
setting: coffee shop late at night

MAGDA: you know something, I cant stay long. Ben is over at my mom's and I hate leaving him there all the time.

NATE: What about Gabriel?

MAGDA: He's been distant lately, doing some shows a couple times a week at this club down the street.

NATE: I'm sorry things didnt work out between the two of you

MAGDA: It's not that, I still love him. I just need some time to think about the marriage.

NATE: I understand.

MAGDA: With Jinny back, she's been so bitter towards me lately. I'm afraid she's going to relapse. The Captain has been giving her a hard time. Being in the apartment with Ben when that fire occured,she saved his life you know? She's such a good person and I don't want to lose her again.

NATE: you don't have to convince me she's a great person Magda. I already know that.

(They continue to talk as the scene slowly ends)

SCENE SIXTEEN
setting: The Division

(It's mornning with lots of fog around San Francisco.... 60 degrees)

(Captain approaches Jinny and Magda)

CAPTAIN: You guys are way behind on this case. I suggest either you move quickly on this or it's being assigned to someone who can solve it.

MAGDA: We're on it, Don't worry Captain.

CAPTAIN: Good... remember Jinny I still have my eye on you, screw up once and you're gone again.

(Jinny gives her "The Look")

JINNY: What crawled up her....

MAGDA: JINNY LET'S GO!!

(They leave)

SCENE SEVENTEEN
setting: Magda and Jinny roaming through the streets of San Fransico.... its sunny clear 69 degrees

MAGDA: This this the right address? 1939 Kingston Pl?...... Jinny?

JINNY: Oh yeah... that's right.

(Jinny look's out the window waiting for the light to change... and looks over to a bar on the corner there she used to hang out at.)

MAGDA: You seem distracted... what's up?

JINNY: My sponsor.... he wants to go out with me.

MAGDA: WHAT?? When did this happen?

JINNY: Nothing happened... I shut him out like I do with the rest of them losers.

MAGDA: Isn't that Illegal or something to even go out at your stage of recovery?

JINNY: Yeah supposely.... I guess my sponsor had other plans with me. You know that really ticks me off.... now i have to go find another sponsor...

MAGDA: we're here, listen Jin... let's talk about this later.

:: They both walk up to the door, Magda knocks on the door to an old two story house::

:: A man opens the door slowly and looks at both of them::

JINNY: Hi I'm Inspector Extead and this is my partner Inspector Ramirez....

:: Suddently, the man slams the door and dashes to the back of the house::

JINNY: Damn it..... I'm not in the mood right now

:: Jinny runs to one side of the house while Magda runs to the other side::

:: So the man jumps over his fence in the backyard and Jinny sees him. So she starts running after him and he grabs the gun from the inside pocket of his dark blue jacket and starts to shoot at Jinny. The bullets miss Jinny and Jinny continues to run after him. Meanwhile Magda cant find the guy so she calls in for backup and tries to look for him and Jinny. The man starts to get tired and finds an older woman in the car on the phone. He grabs the lady out of the car and grabs the keys starts the engine and heads off. Jinny see's some police cars chasing after him and they chase him off on the next street over. Jinny stops... breathing rapidly. Magda finally finds Jinny::

MAGDA: Are you ok? I heard gun shots.

JINNY: Yeah I'm fine... couldnt catch the guy.

:: Jinny runs towards the lady on the side of the street and helps her up and everything::

SCENE EIGHTEEN
setting: The Division

RAINA: That's different... I'm sorry. I know I've made mistakes in the past but I also learned from them captain. I mean... haven't I been punished enough?

CAPTAIN: It's not my place to say... I can't change your work duty Raina

:: Phone rings::

CAPTAIN(PICKS UP PHONE): Hello?... huh?.... ALRIGHT I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!!

:: hangs up phone::

RAINA: What's going on?

CAPTAIN: That... that... was my sister. My mother is in the hospital... I have to leave now.... make sure you take care of all the work I gave you earlier this evening.

:: Captain walks out::

RAINA: Sure thing

:: She looks worried::

setting: Jinny's dad's house

( It starts to rain and Jinny walks into the house only to discover that her brothers are there as well)

JOHN: Jinny girl!!! we were just talking about you.

JINNY: Hey dad

:: They hug::

CASEY: Hey Jinny, how are you feeling?

:: Gives Jinny a hug::

JOHN JR: She is fine Casey, aren't you Jinny.

JOHN: I'll set up the poker table while you kids catch up

:: Leaves holding a beer in his hand::

CASEY: How's your case going?

JINNY(SMILES): Don't ask...

CASEY: You look great Jinny. You seem so well now.

JINNY: Well I still have a long way to go but I'm getting there... one day at a time you know?

JOHN JR(LAUGHS): Well, are we just gonna stand here and talk about Jinny or are we going to go in there and play some cards?

:: They all sit at the poker table.... John and John Jr have their beers while Jinny and Casey have water.... Jinny gets easily distracted::

JOHN JR: Whats the matter Jinny? That place you went to must of screwed up your head.

JOHN: John... just stop the fighting ok?

CASEY: Yeah really.

JOHN JR: I'm not even talking to you Casey so I suggest you stay quiet.

JOHN: I have two tickets to the show tomorrow Jinny girl. I was wondering if we can catch a movie together.. like old times?

JINNY: Gee dad I would love to but I wouldnt want to cause a fight.

JOHN: You're not causing anything...

JINNY: You know... I just wanted us to spend some quality time together.... why did you have bring the whole family over?

JOHN: I didnt. They just came on their own. What was i suppose to do? Throw them out of their home?

JINNY: I dont know... but I'm so sick of this fighting... and I'm reallying trying to stay sober. You guys arent doing a good job helping me out... what is it... like your fourth beer dad in like what? 30 minutes?

JOHN: Don't start this crap now... I'm not like you.

JINNY: NO DAD!! IM NOT LIKE YOU!!

:: John gets up and with his empty beer bottle he grabs Casey and hits his head with the beer bottle... you see glass and blood all over an unconscious Casey::

JINNY: CASEY!!

:: Jinny goes after John.... kicks him in the nuts... and pushes him aside::

JOHN JR: Ohhhhhhhh..... Damnit!!!! Why!!

:: kneels to the floor holding his you know what LOL::

JINNY: Dad!! call an ambulance... Now!!!

JINNY(CRYS): OH god.... oh god.... please be alirght.

:: Casey lays there unconscious being held by Jinny who is stroking his hair and hugging him::

JINNY: DONT WORRY CASEY... YOU'RE GONNA BE OK... DONT WORRY.... DONT WORRY...

:: Jinny is scared to death thinking of the worse::

JOHN JR: I'm out of here

JINNY: JOHN!!! YOU COME BACK HERE!!!

:: attempts to get up and run after him....but decides to stay with Casey till help arrives::

JOHN: Jinny girl.... im really sorry... I dont know what to say or do

JINNY: Just pray dad.... or can you even do that

( Jinny starts to cry....... rain hits the ground outside and thunder and lighting starts up suddently.... you hear the ambulance in the background... and the scene slowly fades into blackness)

MAGDA: Sure.... thanks for staying here last night while I was at the hospital with Jin.

GABRIEL: No problem... I might as well live here eh?

(Gabriel starts to laugh)

MAGDA: Dont push it

(She smiles)

(Ben enters the kitchen ready to eat breakfast)

MAGDA: Hey are you ready for your soccer game on saturday?

BEN: Yep!! I'm gonna kill the other team!! You should see me on the field mom!!

GABRIEL: Yeah.. he's a star player... you should come with us on saturday to see him

(its 8:00am and Jinny is getting ready for work)

JINNY: Here, let me help you with the bandages for your head

JINNY: I'm just trying to make myself useful here

CASEY: You helped enough Jinny. I wouldnt know what to do without you around. :)

JINNY: Any sign of John?

CASEY: No... I dont plan on talking to him for a while. You know Jinny, I dont know if I'll ever be able to forgive him for what he did to me last night.

JINNY: If he shows his face... I'll be sure to kick his ass for you!! :lol:

(Jinny's father appears in the front room with them)

JOHN: So...what are we going to do about John?

JINNY: I dont know.. but I have to go, I'll call you guys later.

setting: The Division

RAINA: I organized all the police files, and finished all the paper work you gave me.

CAPTAIN: Good... now see if you can scan these pictures for me

RAINA: UGHHHHHHHHH!!!

(CD and Nate come walking in captain's office)

CAPTAIN: There's a situation in China Town a rival gang beat up a pregnant woman from another gang... I want you to find out where the gang is hiding

CD: Is she alright?

CAPTAIN: Yes... she was very lucky her baby is still healthy.. although she suffered some injuries to her head and her arms.

NATE: Ok then.. we better get started then

(Nate and CD walk to the car)

NATE: Are you sure you can work today? Doctor said you can take another week off if you like.

CD: I need to get back to work Nate. I'll be fine

NATE: Ok, so how about we change the subject to something more interesing.

CD: Like what?

NATE: If I wanted to take a girl out to eat around here.... what place would you recommend?

CD: Why? You have a "secret" you're not telling me?;)

NATE: Me? secret? No way!!! :D

CD: The Flamming Royal

NATE: What?:confused:

CD: That's a good place... used to go with my husband all the time there to eat.

setting: Hospital

(Kate visits her mom at the hospital during her lunch break)

KATE: Make sure you eat most of it mom. You want to gain back all your energy you lost when you fell.

:: Kate's mom looks at the fruit bowl and slowly starts to pick at the cantalope::

:: The doctors walks in::

KATE: So how is she... when can she come back home?

DOCTOR(SIGHS): I'm afraid she can't come back home. She is extremely weak and I dont think she will be able to stay at home much longer. I'm sorry to say.... You might consider putting her in a nursing home.

KATE: A nursing home? Those places are terrible!! I've already considered it... I dont want her put in a nursing home.

DOCTOR: Well you have to put her into some medical care facility because you cant just take her home and expect her to take care of herself.

KATE: My sister and I take care of her. That's all she needs.

DOCTOR: She's going to be in here for at least another week. Her white blood cell count is low and she needs care here.

KATE: Fine whatever... she's out by next week you hear me?

DOCTOR: Like I said... please consider what I suggested to you.

(The doctor leaves)

setting: It's late at night... Jinny is sleeping in her apartment having a nightmare

:: Jinny finds herself in a room with no tv.... no radio..... :: and the walls are all padded::

JINNY: LET ME OUT!!! LET ME OUT!!! LET ME OUT PLEASE!! WHAT DID I EVER DO TO DESERVE THIS!!

:: Just then, someone opens the door and it's the doc she works with from the division::

DOCTOR: Well Jinny girl.... I have some information about a recent case to discuss with you

JINNY: Sure alright.... what is it doc?

DOCTOR: I was examining this deceased woman in her early 30's and she had all these marks all over her body....

JINNY: Oh god how awful!!

DOCTOR: Yeah she looked like she had been raped and stabbed to death... anyways it happened 3 months ago

JINNY: huh?:confused:

DOCTOR: Yeah... late at night.... suposely she was drunk with two guys and the other one for some reason left... and the other man ended up raping her.

DOCTOR: Police found her later that night dead with cuts all over her face and body

JINNY: Did you identify the body?

DOCTOR: Yeah I did....

(Suddently this bolt of fear hits her like a ton of bricks... she starts to turn very pale)

JINNY: Well? Who was she?

DOCTOR: She was a former Inspector.... Inspector Jinny Extead. You know her?

JINNY: WHAT?:confused:

JINNY: That cant be true... I'm JINNY EXTEAD!!!

DOCTOR: No you're not... Jinny Extead died three months ago... I have the death certificate to prove it..

(Shows Jinny the death certificate)

JINNY: You're kidding me right?

DOCTOR: I'm a professional.... would I kid about something like this?

JINNY: But I'm JINNY EXTEAD!!!

DOCTOR: Looks like you need to take your medication now... NURSE!!!!

( A nurse shows up to the empty white room with a needle in her hand)

JINNY: NO PLEASE!!! WAIT!!!! I DONT NEED A SHOT!!!

DOCTOR: Yeah you do.... You dont even know who you are...

(Jinny's dad, John Jr, Casey, CD, Magda enter the room)


JINNY'S DAD: Yeah Jinny girl. You're the one that killed my wife!! YOU KILLED HER DAMN YOU!!!

JINNY: NO!! I DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT!!! I DIDNT MEAN TO HURT HER!!! SHE WAS MY MOTHER FOR GODSAKES!!

MAGDA: Jinny Why you lie to me so much?? All you do is lie lie lie lie lie lie!! you good for nothing drunk!!

JINNY: Mag, I'm sorry I lied to you... but it was just that one time!!

MAGDA: Yeah sure it was....

CD: Why didnt you ever visit me at the hospital?

JINNY: CD I did!!! I did!!! I was at the hospital!!!

CD: Sure you were.... You're such damn liar I dont know why the captain kept you on the division for so long.

CASEY: Listen Jinny... you're my sister... i dont know what I would do without you. I think this shot will do you some good.

JINNY: What Shot? What are you talking about?

CASEY: Hurry Nurse... she is losing her memory!!

JOHN JR: You know Jinny you might want to put some bandages on those cuts you have

JINNY: WHAT CUTS!?!?

JOHN JR.: The ones all over your face and body

:: Jinny looks at her arms and discovers herself covered in blood::

JOHN JR: Whats the matter Jinnygirl!! You cant take the pressure?

NURSE: Ok strap her onto the bed.

:: everyone grabs her and forces her on the bed and straps her on there::

JINNY: NOOOOO what are you doing?... This is insane!!! please I'll be a good girl from now on!!! I'll be good!!!! I'll be a good girl from now on!! I'll get good grades and ....

It's a cloudy morning, but everything is starting to dry up slowly as the sun slowly rises to the top and it becomes daylight once again.

(Jinny comes in late for work)

MAGDA: I thought you wanted to start off good.

JINNY: What? You think she noticed?

CAPTAIN: JINNY!!!

( Jinny turns around looking at the captain. The captain walks up to Jinny slowly... observing her movements and staring at her eyes like she was a test subject to this experiment they were conducting)

CAPTAIN: Jinny, come in my office now please.

(Jinny walks into the captains office expecting to get yelled at right then and there, but the captain sits at her desk and puts her hands on her forehead... and then glances at a picture of her daughter)

CAPTAIN: Jinny.... here you go.

(The captain gets something from the bottom drawer of her desk and gives it to Jinny)

JINNY(SURPRISED): I'm not doing this...

(The captain sets a small clear plastic cup on her desk)

CAPTAIN: You get a drug test.... once a week. go get started.

(Jinny stares at her and starts to laugh)

JINNY: Oh.... I get it. I was late to work today, you think it had something to do with alcohol right?

CAPTAIN: Yeah I do..... take the test Jinny.... that was part of the deal ok?

JINNY: No I wont.... I'm clean alright? I dont understand why all of a sudden you want to test me.

(Just then two police officers walk in the office and each stand beside Jinny)

JINNY:mad: : Do you mind? We're trying to have a private conversation here.

CAPTAIN: Jinny, I dont want to have to force you.

JINNY: Fine look I'll go. You happy now?

CAPTAIN: Ask me again when the results come back.

setting: Anchorside

(Magda is having lunch with Jinny at Anchorside)

MAGDA:rolleyes: So why were you so hostile with the captain this morning?

JINNY: I dont want to talk about it Mag. So I'd appreciate it if you dont bring it up again.

MAGDA: Come on Jinny!! It was a simple drug test!!

(Jinny starts to get pissed and looks at Magda)

JINNY: WHO TOLD YOU

MAGDA: It doesnt matter... what matters is that if you continue with that attitude of yours, you are going to get yourself fired.

JINNY: well??

MAGDA:rolleyes:Raina.

JINNY: I'll be back, I'm going to get an iced tea.

(Jinny leaves the table and walks up to the counter. Nate walks in through the door and sits at the booth)

MAGDA: Hey, what are you doing here?

NATE: I heard this a pretty good restaurant.

NATE::talk: Actually I just wanted to talk to you. I was wondering, I have tickets to the opera tomorrow night and...

MAGDA: Nate now isnt really a good time. I'm taken anyways.

NATE: How is Gabe anyways?

MAGDA: We have to be professional about this and I really hope we can be friends, but that's all we'll be is friends.

NATE: Look Magda, I really like you. I wont hide that. You're beautiful. I like your hair and your eyes and just everything about you makes me crazy.

MAGDA: Nate.... please.... if you didnt come here to talk about the case please just leave.

NATE: Just think about it Magda. If this thing with you and Gabriel doesnt work out... call me.

MAGDA: Me and Gabriel dont have a "thing" we have a relationship and we have a child. I suggest you leave now.

NATE: I'm sorry I just wanted to tell you how I felt. I wish you luck on your new case. Goodbye.

(Nate leaves Anchorside and Magda sits there thinking about

setting: China Town

(C.D. and Nate are walking to a beat up old house with a broken screen door and some bullet holes on the sides of the house they knock on the door)

YOUNG MAN#1: Hello. I was expecting you. Come in.

(C.D. and Nate walk into a pile of toys and magazines laying around a brown carpet and sit down)

NATE: What can you tell us?

YOUNG MAN#1: Look uh... um... ill be honest here. I wasn't surprised when I heard my girlfriend was stabbed by a bunch of rival gang members. The truth is, I'm glad that B**** is dead, she was doing all of them. She broke my heart what can I say. The mother of my two kids. I cant believe she would date a gang member and wind up getting killed though. She never used to be that way. She was the sweetest girl you would know around these parts of town you know I'm saying?

( C.D. nods as she takes some quicks notes on her tablet)

YOUNG MAN#1: I really dont know where they are right now. But I do know that her boyfriend is part of the gang. Tony Stevenson. He lives a couple of blocks from me. 2392 Miarke St.

NATE: Thankyou for your time.

C.D: Hold on. Are you part of a gang?

YOUNG MAN#1: No Ma'am. I dont get into that sort of thing. I just hope you find out where the gang is located so you can put them all in jail for life.

C.D.:talk: Believe me I wish it was that easy. Can you describe Mr. Stevenson for me?

YOUNG MAN#1: He has like a shaved head, A small goatee and some piercing on his right eye brow. Weighs like around 200 he is 5'9. Has like a big tattoo of a dragon on his right arm.

NATE: Thankyou very much for you're time sir you have a nice day.

(C.D. and Nate walk out the door and they head to the car)

C.D.: I think she got killed because the gang members didnt like the idea that their "leader" was spending so much time with her so they just murdered her to get rid of her.

NATE: You really think that?

C.D.: Yeah I do. It happens all the time around here.

NATE: Yeah, well I think that guy we were questioning was lying to us about the whole thing.

C.D.: possibly.... there's only one way to find out.

SCENE 28
setting: The Division

(Jinny and Magda are working when Teddy shows up with some documents)

TEDDY: Hey.... here are the documents you asked for.

JINNY: Thanks Teddy.

(Jinny grabs the documents and Teddy quickly takes them away from her)

TEDDY: You could of just got them yourself you know. You didnt need me to get them for you.

JINNY: I know... I just wanted to see how you were doing and everything.

TEDDY: Well, why dont you call me or send me an email like most of my other friends do.

JINNY: Is that all I am.... just a friend?

TEDDY: Yeah...

JINNY: Leave me alone

(Teddy touches Jinny's shoulders but she pushes his hand away)

JINNY: No you know what? Just go.

TEDDY: I'm sorry Jinny.

(Teddy leaves the room)

MAGDA: Jin? What the hell is wrong with you today?

JINNY: Nothing!!! I'm just having a bad day that's all.

( Magda walks away from her desk to go get something to drink, meanwhile The captain walks towards Jinny again)

CAPTAIN: Jinny..... my office.

(Jinny walks slowly towards her office, with an anxious look on her face)

CAPTAIN: I got your results right here from the drug test you took yesterday.

JINNY: Well, let's hear it.

CAPTAIN: Here...

(The captain gives Jinny the folder that has the results inside, and jinny opens it up)

CAPTAIN: I think I owe you an apology Jinny. When you came in late the other day, I thought you "fell off the wagon" again.

JINNY: None is necessary Captain. I had some stuff going on that night and I couldnt sleep. Are we through here?

CAPTAIN: Yes we are.

(Jinny leaves the office)

CAPTAIN: Wait..... Jinny.

(Jinny turns around and takes a step back in the room)

JINNY: yes?

CAPTAIN: I happen to know another sponsor you might want to meet.

JINNY: How did you know....

CAPTAIN: I keep track of things from your "program". You see, thats part of the deal I made with the Division. Would you like to meet him?

JINNY: Yeah sure... listen, I would love to chat with you but I got to get going.

CAPTAIN: Ok, well, here's the number if you want to contact him. His name is Marcus.

JINNY: Marcus?

CAPTAIN: Yep... I think you're gonna like him.

JINNY: Yeah...

(Jinny leaves the office once again)

setting: 2392 Miarke St.

(CD and Nate go up to this beat up old white house and knocks on the door)

CD: Nobody is answering

NATE: Just ... hold on... I think I heard someone.

(A young woman opens the door)

WOMAN1: Yes? What can I do you for?

CD: SFPD... we are looking for a man by the name of Tony Stevenson.

WOMAN1: What about?

NATE: Is he here or isn't he?

WOMAN1: No he isnt, he is out with his friends shooting pool at some bar down the street from here. Did he do something wrong?

CD: We have reason to believe that Tony was involved in the murder of Elaine Marison.

WOMAN1: I thought Elaine and her baby were alright. That's what the police said.

CD: She was but a few days later, she passed away along with her baby. Apparently she had a major infection that looked minor but it turned out to be something seriously internal that killed her.

WOMAN1: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. You think my boyfriend had something to do with it?

(CD and Nate look at each other and sigh)

CD: Miss, Elaine was pregnant with your boyfriends child. We need to question him ASAP. Can you let us in?

WOMAN1: Sure... I have nothing to hide.

(The woman lets both CD and Nate in to check out the place. There are beer bottles all over the tables and food all over the floor)

CD(TO HERSELF): God.... don't these people ever pick up around here?

NATE: CD! Come in here for a minute...

(CD and Nate walk into Tony's room to find several guns under the bed that are fully loaded.)

NATE: We need to take these guns away from here.

CD: Yeah we do...

(CD and Nate hear a noise coming from the front room. Tony just came in the house)

TONY: What the hell are you doing in my room?

CD: We need to talk, have a seat.

(CD points to the empty wooden chair that looks about 20 years old)

TONY: Look, my girlfriend told me that you wanted to talk about the murder. I have nothing to do with the murder of Elaine. Some people from a gang shot her. Its a rough neighborhood... I mean, how could you possibly assume that....

CD: We have a witness

TONY: Oh is it that Bast*** that claims to have loved her? He doesn't know s*** about anything. I dont know why you would ever believe him.

CD: Look, we found guns in the room, we saw the gang symbols. We know you're part of a gang. Would you come with us please?

TONY: Fine whatever, I didn't lay a damn finger on her, you gotta believe that.

(CD and Nate takes Tony with them to the car)

WOMAN1: Where are you taking him? What are you doing? You can't just....

TONY: Don't worry baby, I'll be back.

SCENE 31
setting: The Mural Restaurant

(There's all this music playing and Jinny walks in, late as usual. She sees Marcus, her new sponsor and she sits down next to him)

MARCUS: Hello Jinny

JINNY: Hello

(Jinny sees the black man stare at her like she was the most beautiful woman in the world)

JINNY: You are my sponsor.... aren't you?

MARCUS: Yes, I am.... it's just....

JINNY: Oh god, not again.

MARCUS: What?

JINNY: I'm attracted to you, you are attracted to me. I just can't have a male sponsor.

MARCUS: I understand that. It was nice seeing you. I don't want to make it any more harder on you than it already is.

(Marcus gets up and starts to leave)

JINNY: Wait....

(Marcus turns around and looks at Jinny's green eyes. He sees them sparkle with life)

JINNY: Why dont you sit down and we'll have some dinner... alright? It shouldnt be a waste of time for you or for me, so lets just make the most out of an akward situation.

MARCUS: Sounds like a great idea Jinny, I like the way you think :)

JINNY: I dont know what it is with you, you seem so different from most guys I talk to.

MARCUS: Yeah you are different also. We have something in common.

JINNY: yeah we do. So what do you do for a living?

MARCUS: I'm a UPS guy.

JINNY: Oh... so you are. :)

MARCUS: What about you?

JINNY: Im an Inspector.

MARCUS: Oh wow, sounds interesting

JINNY: Yes it is.... it's not the best job in the world, but it's in my blood.

MARCUS: In your blood?

JINNY: My dad is a retired cop and my two brothers are cops also.

MARCUS: Oh.... Well.... What about your mother?

JINNY: So have you been here before?

MARCUS: Yes, once before. I love their seafood.

JINNY: I'm not really into seafood that much. But if you say its great here, then I guess I'll try it.

MARCUS: Great.

SCENE 32
setting: hospital

(Kate is at the hosptial in the ICU ( Intensive Care Unit) watching her mother slip away from her)

KATE: Mom, can you hear me mom?

(Tears run down her cheeks)

KATE: I'm so sorry. I tried so hard.

(Kate kneels down and puts her head on her mother's bed)

(Kate sees Amanda standing there, next to the door with tears in her eyes)

KATE: They let you in? When did you get here?

AMANDA: About 15 minutes ago, yes they finally let me in. How is she?

KATE: The doctor says, she can go anytime now. I just can't help but feel responsible for this.

AMANDA: No, you shouldnt believe that at all. Its not true, she lived a wonderful life mom... you didnt do anything to harm her.

KATE: I still cant believe you flew all the way from LA just to come here.

AMANDA: I care about her mom. Just as much as you do, and I wouldnt leave her like that. You know the way I am.

KATE: I know honey, it.. its great to see you.

( Kate and Amanda hug each other)

( They both feel look at her .... resting.... they hold her cold dry lifeless hands as they both watch her slip away..... slowly.)

setting: A nearby street across from the local bank

(Jinny and Magda get out of the car as they view a dead body laying on the ground with shot wounds)

JINNY: Let me guess, Robber ran out of the bank and shot the guy to steal his car

COP1: No he ran out of the bank, supposely shot him and took his wallet and split... but the deceased man's car is parked a couple of miles from here.

JINNY: So he shot him for something.

COP2: Looks that way.

MAGDA: Any ID on him?

COP1: Mr. Alan Shaffer

JINNY: Any eye witnesses?

COP2: There are 4 that saw the whole thing, two that were at the bank.

JINNY: Well let's get to work then.

(They both start walking towards the eye witnesses across the street)

SCENE 34
setting: It's cloudy day at the Division, 64 degrees

(The Captain is in her office doing some paperwork when Raina comes in)

RAINA: I talked to Mr. Shaffer's wife and she told me that he arrived at work at 6:00am and told her that she had a meeting with a man by the name of Henry Markinson at around 9:00am. He got shot at around 9:30am. His meeting for some reason got delayed.

CAPTAIN: I'm beginning to wonder if he even had a meeting. They found several notes in his wallet saying 9:00 from the local casino down by 23rd St.

RAINA: You think he lied to his wife?

CAPTAIN: We need some more information, get his coworker over here.

RAINA: Alright I'm on it.

SCENE 35
setting: A local Restaurant

(Jinny and Marcus have lunch together.... it's sunny now. Jinny gives Marcus a big grin)

JINNY: I really can't get involved with you. I'm still in recovering stage.

MARCUS: So am I Jinny. We could help each other out.

JINNY: How long have you been sober?

MARCUS: For like a month.

JINNY: I've been sover for like about 4 months Marcus, I need a decent sponsor. I can't deal with another relationship right now.

MARCUS: I understand that... why do we have to make it a relationship? Why can't it just be.... no strings attached sort of thing?

JINNY: I.... I dont think so Marcus.

MARCUS: Think about it, I really need someone that understands me Jinny. Nobody has to know.

JINNY: I'll know. Look I have had lots of loveless relationships... that's what made my drinking worse.... according to my therapist over at rehab.

MARCUS: Jinny...

(Marcus looks at Jinny and starts to ask her a question)

MARCUS: Listen Jinny, there's this place I want to show you later on tonight, if you're interested. It's up on a hill looking over the bay area.

JINNY: I know where it is... I just..

MARCUS: Please Jinny, do this for me.

JINNY: Fine, for a little while

MARCUS: It's a date then...

(Jinny sighs and looks down at her food)

SCENE 36
setting: Magda's apartment

(Magda is getting read to put Ben to bed when Gabriel walks through the door)

MAGDA: Gabe, why are you here so late? I was just about to go to bed.

GABRIEL: Please tell me why you talked to my mother

MAGDA: What do you mean Gabriel?

GABRIEL: She told me earlier today that you were talking to her about my past. Then she caught you snooping through my desk. What's the matter, you don't trust me now? I didn't know there was a trust issue still between us.

MAGDA: There will always be a trust issue between us Gabriel. Sorry about wanting to know more about the man I'm gonna marry.

GABRIEL: Marry? .... Magda

(He stares at her in amazement, and takes her hand and starts to smile)

GABRIEL: You want to marry me?

MAGDA: Yes, I finally decided I wanted to marry you, that's why....

(He takes her by teh waist and swings her around then puts her back down and kisses her)

GABRIEL: I'm so sorry for not being so open to you Magda. You could ask me anything you want, you know that right?

MAGDA: Yeah I know Gabe and that's why I love you so much. Oh god this is all happening so fast... we need time to plan out the wedding and stuff.

GABRIEL: We'll have plenty of time to do that

(takes Magda's hand and takes her into the room... and they start kissing each other and they slowly take their clothes off and pull the covers over them and shut the door)

SCENE 37
setting: The hill that overlooks the bay

(It's dark and clear, and you could hear the waves crash and its peaceful. Jinny gets out of her car and walks up to Marcus and she looks at the bay and doesn't say much.... they start to kiss then Jinny turns away)

JINNY: You know, when I was like 16... 17, I used to run away and just build a tent over here and stay the night.... nobody was able to find me and usually I stayed there for like a day or two. My father never really made a big deal about it, he was always wasted you know.

MARCUS: I used to hang out there a lot. I'm not originally from here and I just discovered this place a few years back. I used to come here to clear my mind from things...

JINNY: yeah, I used to come to this hill always drunk when i was younger thinking about how much I screwed up my life. Then I would just lay and look at the stars.

MARCUS: Yeah, I know what you mean.

(It's quiet for a few minutes)

JINNY: Marcus, I have to go.... see you around.

MARCUS: Wait... do you mind if we just stay here a little while longer?

JINNY: ... ok

(Jinny and Marcus sit together and watch the boats come and go)

SCENE 38
setting: Anchorside

(CD and Nate are at the bar having a drink and talking)

NATE: Well, I'm sure glad we got that case settled.

CD: I know, talk about overworking.

NATE: You know CD, I enjoy working with you very much. You are nothing like my last partner.

CD: What was your last partner like?

NATE: well, lets just say his idea of a good time was going to the saturday night bingo games...

CD: ohhhhh fun.

NATE How about yours?

CD: What?

NATE: What about your old partner? What was she like?

CD: Oh, Angela. I dont know. It was a little rocky at first, the partnership that is, but she turned out to be this great person and she seemed very reliable. I mean I was sad to see her go, but I'm glad also because I met someone like you that I can confide in personally.

NATE: Why that's kind of you to say CD, I think you're great too.

CD: Yeah

(CD looks at his face like she wants to kiss him but declines)

NATE: Listen, CD I have to go, I'm meeting somebody soon and I don't want to be late.

CD: Oh.... ok..... see you later

(They hug and he leaves)

SCENE 39
setting: The hill that overlooks the bay area

(Jinny and Marcus are still there and they start to make out on the grass)

JINNY: It' s getting a little late.

MARCUS: Yeah it is.

JINNY: Do you have any blankets?

MARCUS: As a matter of fact, I have lots of blankets

(Goes to the car and pulls out 4 blankets and puts some on the grass and covers Jinny up with the rest)

JINNY: Hey wait a minute, are you smothering me or what?

(Jinny starts to laugh about it)

(Jinny takes the two blankets off her and throws them at Marcus)

MARCUS: So about a new sponsor.... what were you saying?

(Jinny looks at Marcus)

JINNY: I think I'll be ok with you.

(They start taking off their clothes and Jinny and Marcus lay down under the blankets and start kissing)

SCENE 40
setting: Flowershop

(Nate buys a dozen roses)

CLERK: Do you want these ones or the other ones?

NATE: Those ones right there

CLERK: Here you go sir

NATE: Thankyou

(He leaves the shop and sits in his car and takes out his pen. He looks at the roses for a minute then gets a picture out of his wallet and its a picture of Magda. He smiles as he looks at it and then puts it back in his wallet. He starts writing on the tag)

NATE: To Miss Magda Ramirez..... love.... Nate.
