So I get in these moods where I watch hours of UM all at once and then when I think about a particular case weeks later, my memory is fluttered.

I recently watched a case (mid 90's) about a murderer (guy was really crazy) who rode with two hitchhickers in the victim's vehicle (driven by the murderer) and they stopped at a rest stop and then two hitch hikers were desperate for help saying this guy was nuts and he had just killed someone. Anyone remember? Thanks.

Yes that was Bill Henderson's murder. Fifteen years later Lawrence Tutt was located and later confessed to the murder.

Was there ever a motive given for this sick crime?

I don't think so, but he was a career criminal. I believe the hitchhikers saw the UM segment, and contacted authorities.

Yeah, I remember this. So how much time did Henderson get? Death?

He only got 45 years (too little, in my view). However, I am somewhat placated with the fact that he already has over three dozen years stacked on top of that for other charges, so he will more than likely never walk the streets again. That, perhaps, is the most important thing of all.
