View Full Version : Did anyone else forget about the HUB channel once Antenna TV started in January?
TVFactFan 02-13-2011, 03:31 PM The Hub was the highlight of my weeknights back in December with Happy Days and Laverne and Shirkey and now that I have Antenna TV, I forgot that HUB is apart of my cable service-lol
I forgot the HUB is better at 11pm than Antenna TV since they air the NANNY
MikeLutton 02-13-2011, 04:08 PM i dont got Antenna tv wish i did just got direct tv ido watch Happy days and Laverne & shirley on the Hub,Happy days moving to 8:00pm starting Tuesday
if i had Antenna tv ibe watching both stations
LUNCH 02-13-2011, 04:53 PM I occasionally watch the Hub,but I view Antenna-TV alot more.Antenna-TV has a wider variety of good shows and of course so far, much less commercials etc.I'll tell you one station I totally forgot about, and that's TVLand. If I can also get ME-TV by antenna when it becomes available ,I may wind up cancelling cable.
TVFactFan 02-13-2011, 04:58 PM I still watch TV Land because of Three's Company but I just want Antenna T to stop showing that Rat and Roach commercial.
If someone had a RAT problem I wanna believe they would MOVE-lol
MikeLutton 02-13-2011, 05:03 PM tv land is full of nothing but rats i dont even watch them anymore expect for mabye All In The Family and the Jeffersons some Three's company im glad i do not
got cable anymore satelliate is much better Antenna tv n Hub beat tv Land and Nan anyday
I admit I'm a grouch, but I honestly can't stand what The Hub does to their shows. Not only are they using crappy, non-remastered prints of their shows, but they insert commercial breaks where they don't belong. And I'm sure their shows are edited to kingdom come.
No stations here carry Antenna TV (yet). Here's hoping...
treky 02-14-2011, 02:33 AM I never watch THE HUB, I watched Laverne & Shirley on it once and vowed to never watch the channel again. Not only was the show edited, but they split the screen at the end, and other things that ANTENNA TV doesn't do.
SpenceOlchin 02-14-2011, 11:33 AM I still watch the Hub for The Wonder Years, but that's about it. If it was available on DVD, I'd probably have no use for the network. Antenna TV treats the shows they have better.
robyrob 02-14-2011, 12:39 PM if we could get Antenna or ME-TV in our area I would probably watch less of The Hub, but because that's all we get that's what I watch
I watch all the episodes of Happy Days and some of the other stuff here and there - depends on what it is and what else is on - I don't mind the editing on the Hub too much, I can tell when they add commercial breaks and usually know what they have cut out anyways.
BigManMike 02-15-2011, 12:17 PM I don't have cable, but I have Antenna TV and I really like it. I hope that we will get ME-TV as well. Whenever I decided to get cable, I doubt I will get the Hub, because it is only included in the more expensive packages, and Family Ties, Happy Days, and Laverne and Shirley are the only things on there I want to see.
LUNCH 02-17-2011, 01:26 PM I admit I'm a grouch, but I honestly can't stand what The Hub does to their shows. Not only are they using crappy, non-remastered prints of their shows, but they insert commercial breaks where they don't belong. And I'm sure their shows are edited to kingdom come.
No you're not a grouch, you just want to watch a good tv show how it was meant to be viewed,I'm the same way. It's really not to much to ask.--And yes they are editing the shows in a big way, and giving them the 'TVLand/Viacom treatment',putting commercial breaks right in the middle of scenes, cutting out big parts of the shows etc. as you mentioned.--Funny thing is they run Batman pretty much un-edited.
TVFactFan 02-17-2011, 05:19 PM 3 to 4 mins cut is a lot better than the entire episode CUT from being viewed on Cable-LOL
browneyes106 02-17-2011, 05:55 PM I don't have Antenna TV through DirecTV. I like the HUB for The Wonder Years and Family Ties.
WalrusIsPaul 02-20-2011, 02:29 AM I wish i had the chance to forget about HUB cause of Antenna. But don't have on fios here in Pittsburgh, unless im missing something and we have it.
Only thing on HUB i like are Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley and Batman.I'm almost done getting all the episodes of Batman. Once i'm done with the other two, i will be done with HUB unless they add some other classic shows i like
