Marvo301 02-08-2011, 11:41 PM Harry Morgan, William Christopher, and Jamie Farr loved working on M*A*S*H and wanted it to continue beyond the eleventh season. The rest of the cast however voted to end the show after eleven seasons so Morgan, Christopher, and Farr continued their characters on the spinoff Aftermash. tv star collector 02-09-2011, 10:11 AM Michael Landon must have loved Little House on the Prairie. He not only starred in and co-produced it, but he also often directed and/or wrote many of the episodes. He was also very much involved in all aspects of Highway to Heaven. treky 02-10-2011, 02:29 AM Howard McNear loved doing "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW". In fact, when he suffered a stroke and had to leave; it was obvious that his prescence in the series was missing. So they called his house one day and his wife answered. They said "We were wonering if Howard would like to return to the show". She said "Oh, he'd love it! He misses it so much and he misses working with all of you"! LUNCH 02-10-2011, 04:08 PM James Arness stayed with Gunsmoke for its full 20 year run,and was ready to go a few more seasons had the show not been cancelled. MickeyMac 02-10-2011, 07:18 PM Larry Hagman loved doing Dallas. Al Lewis loved playing Grandpa on the Munsters, and didnt have a problem being known for that role. Marvo301 02-10-2011, 07:27 PM Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie loved playing Buddy and Sally on the Dick Van Dyke Show. In fact they lobbied for the series to continue beyond it's 5 year run but Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, and Carl Reiner were ready to move onto other projects. catlover79 02-11-2011, 02:16 AM The late Sorrell Booke loved The Dukes of Hazzard and the role of Boss Hogg so much it was put on his tombstone: Marvo301 02-11-2011, 02:21 AM And James Best loved playing Roscoe P. Coltrane on Dukes of Hazzard. He and Sorrell Booke made a great comedy team on that show!! treky 02-12-2011, 01:07 AM I don't know how he felt about "FRASIER" but Kelsey Grammar loved playing Frasier Crane. catlover79 02-12-2011, 03:42 PM And James Best loved playing Roscoe P. Coltrane on Dukes of Hazzard. He and Sorrell Booke made a great comedy team on that show!! Indeed!!! The two of them were the Laurel and Hardy of Hazzard County. In fact, it seems that most, if not all, of the Dukes cast (and crew) loved the show and each other!! :D McGillicuddy 02-12-2011, 05:57 PM It seems all the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, loved that series and each other. It really shows when they're re-united. In fact I never heard of anybody not getting along. There's a story that Ted Knight was unhappy for a short period with the Ted Baxter character, but the crew and other castmembers were supportive of his concerns, and apparently he overcame them. catlover79 02-13-2011, 12:02 AM Lisa Whelchel has also made no secret of how much she enjoyed her run on The Facts of Life and playing the role of Blair. :D treky 02-13-2011, 01:17 AM It seems all the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, loved that series and each other. Gemini_89 03-27-2016, 03:33 PM Lisa Whelchel has also made no secret of how much she enjoyed her run on The Facts of Life and playing the role of Blair. :D Yea. She is the one person from the cast who 100% embraces her character. I like that. andress_jade 03-28-2016, 02:58 PM All the cast mates of Friends loved being on the show. They all said that it was the greatest 10 years of their life. treky 03-29-2016, 01:16 AM Kelsey Grammar liked playing Frasier, Gary Burghoff liked playing Radar OH Nuts! 03-29-2016, 09:38 AM Barbara Eden had a blast being (and being known for) Jeannie in IDOJ MrCleveland 03-29-2016, 01:22 PM I heard that Nell Carter LOVED being on Gimme a Break!, she even cried when she heard that the series cancelled! SitcomsOffline 03-29-2016, 08:41 PM Larry Hagman loved doing Dallas. Al Lewis loved playing Grandpa on the Munsters, and didnt have a problem being known for that role. To the point that he starred in a 1-900 number commercial in the late 80s as Grandpa. treky 03-30-2016, 01:21 AM Buddy Ebsen liked being Jed Clampett in fact once he was performing on stage in London and was only getting a lukewarm reception from the audience. So he stopped, a pretty girl brought his Jed Clampett hat out on a pillow, he picked it up, turned around, put it on, turned back to the audience, gave a big grin and said "WEEELL DOGGIES!!" The audience ROARED and gave him a standing ovation. From then on he was a big hit. jimpickens 03-30-2016, 03:27 AM Yeah just about the entire cast of the Beverly Hillbillies loved their tenure on the show same goes for the cast Seinfeld and Katy Sagal loved playing Peggy Bundy. tlc38tlc38 03-30-2016, 01:34 PM I'm pretty sure that Vicki Lawrence loved playing Mama on "Mama's Family" and that all the cast got along well.
