(The NY Yankees beat the Texas Rangers 7-2.)
(Ralph runs home.)
Ralph (yells): "ALICE!"
Alice: "What?"
Ralph (yells): "ALICE! ALICE!" (normally): "Do you know what happened?"
Alice: "Did you run up the stairs? You know that you are not supposed to do that. It isn't good for you and it isn't good for the stairs either."
Ralph: "The Yankees have pulled through. They won game 5. Now, they have the momentum to go to Texas and win games 6 & 7. Now, my dream of having a Yankee/Giants World Series might come true. There's this one loudmouth on Mad Dog Radio, a Sirius Radio channel, that loves the Giants and hates the Yankees. When the Yankees win the World Series, I want to hear about the rant that he will make the following day."
Alice: "Don't get your hopes up to high Ralph."
(Ed comes down.)
Ed: "Hey Ralphie boy! The Yankees have won. They pulled through. During the game, I was so nervous. The tide came in earlier and washed the radios away. I was so nervous that I almost drowned."
Ralph: "Boy, now on Friday, when we go to the Raccoon Lodge and watch the Yankees win, we can celebrate."
Alice: "I hope you don't get wasted Ralph."
Ralph: "What? I never get wasted."
Alice: "You don't? How about the time you came in here and yelled out the window: 'Hey Mrs. Gallagher, get your cat out of my apartment. The only thing was that it wasn't her cat. You had your Raccoon hat on backwards."
(Ed laughs.)
Ralph (yells): "SHUT UP!"
Alice: "Ralph, I just hope you don't get overenthused and get your hopes up to high."
Ralph: "Me? Never."
Ed: "You don't?"
Ralph: "All right. All right. I just remembered that Garrity is a fan of the Rangers."
(Ralph goes to the window and sticks his head out.)
Ralph (yells): "HEY YOU LOUDMOUTH, HOW ABOUT THOSE YANKEES?"
(Ralph puts his ehad back inside.)
Garrity (from upstairs, yells): "HEY KRAMDEN!"
(Ralph sticks his head out.)
Ralph (yells): "WHAT?"
(Ralph gets doused with water. Ed & Alice laugh. Ralph puts his head back inside.)
Ralph (yells): "GET OUT!"
(Ed leaves.)
Ralph: "Ooooh, you are going to get yours Alice."
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. The audience applauds.)
Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE."
(Audience cheers.)
