Harry Loves Lisa - half-hour
Premieres Wednesday, October 6, 2010
Wednesdays 10:00pm ET/PT
Encores include Wed at 10:30pm & 1am ET/PT
Celebrity Hollywood couple Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin allow TV Land cameras to take a candid and open look inside their marriage when the reality series “Harry Loves Lisa” premieres on Wednesday, October 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Television and movie star Harry Hamlin stepped away from the spotlight over ten years ago to be a devoted father to his two beautiful daughters. Daytime and primetime TV star Lisa Rinna has grabbed headlines for years thanks to her famous lips and the often outrageous things that come out of them. Now that Harry and Lisa’s children are older, both are eager to figure out what comes next in their lives. Throughout the series, viewers will get to watch them navigate the highs and lows of their hectic and fascinating Hollywood lifestyle. As they take the next steps in redefining themselves both personally and professionally while raising their children in the spotlight of fame, they manage to work through it all because of their amazing chemistry and sense of humor. “Harry Loves Lisa” brings to life the romantic notion that opposites attract as Lisa’s playful spontaneity counteracts with Harry’s more reserved demeanor. The series is executive produced by Jason Carbone (“Run’s House”) under his Good Clean Fun banner. Eliot Goldberg serves as executive producer from TV Land.
Harry Loves Lisa showcases the couple’s highs and lows as Harry attempts to jumpstart his acting career, Lisa struggles with the tabloids and they both try to keep their clothing store Belle Gray afloat. The series offers full access to their lives as celebrities and shows that despite their many differences, this Hollywood marriage has managed to survive thanks to their values and undeniable chemistry. Whether Harry rolls his eyes or wrings his hands and Lisa is frustrated by his caution and frugality, Harry truly does love Lisa and the feeling is mutual. Their secret to marital bliss is acceptance...and a sense of humor.

Surprise, surprise.

Too bad they didn't go ahead and add Jeannie and bring back Bewitched after the marathon. That's a little too much Roseanne at night, the 7pm hour needs to go. Not to mention Andy Griffith, it needs an hour cut.

I wish they would bring back Leave it to Beaver when they return Bewitched and add Jeannie. It's probably gone for good.

Why wouldn't they bring back Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie together in October? That would have been the perfect month to do it. Waiting until November makes no sense. I also don't understand why they removed Bewitched in the first place only to launch I Dream of Jeannie separately a couple of months later. Confusing? I think so.

I totally agree, retrofan. :( It doesn't make any sense. What a disappointment.

I just wish they would do something with the three benched comedies. They've never been gone this long...like I said, starting to make me think they're not coming back. :( They used to appear occasionally but Beaver, Hogan's, or Hillbillies (which I really don't care if they air) have not been seen since April and there seems to be no intention on showing them. They couldn't air one of them on ONE Saturday morning instead of The Nanny?

retrofan05
09-08-2010, 05:10 PM
Agreed. I love The Nanny, but there is no reason to air what, 12 episodes back to back Saturday and Sunday?!? I think any of the benched shows could and should come back when Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie return. The Beverly Hillbillies and Leave it to Beaver especially would go well with both shows.

I think TV Land's schedule is good but could be improved in certain areas. They are doing a good job of airing a bunch of old classics and new sitcoms, as well (in addition to shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza, obviously).

What I'm not a fan of is having AITF, Sanford & Son, Good Times, and Jeffersons only 1 episode each from 9-11AM weekday mornings but AITF gets 6-7PM and Sanford & Son now from 7-9PM! A bit of overkill at the expense of Jeffersons and Good Times. And, since when does Sanford & Son get 2 hour blocks weeknights like that? I thought The Nanny was supposed to air from 8-9PM.

Also, Andy Griffith in the afternoons from 3-6 is overkill. I'd assume come November when Bewitched comes back and I Dream of Jeannie begins (and comes back, too essentially - side note: all their "new" acquisitions are ones they have aired before which I find a bit strange). I checked the Program Exchange's website and Jeannie isn't listed. Where could we find an updated list of the shows they have the rights to?

Yeah, so for the November schedule I see them keeping Andy Griffith 3-4PM and then airing Bewitched 4-5 and Jeannie 5-6 (or the reverse but the general order seems to have Bewitched first historically haha).

I like that they will be airing these two shows but I find it's sort of redudant with WGN America who will be airing the same two sitcoms in, likely, very similar timeslots. Couldn't TV Land have brought back Gilligan's Island and Happy Days, instead, for example? That would have been original as those shows are nowhere to be found these days on American cable networks.

Looking forward to seeing what they plan for November's lineup :)

Yeah, sorry that was my fault. I hadn't checked the site for a few days for the first time in a long while because I was super busy and I commented on the old blog before reading the blog from a couple days later. I apologize for that!

November when Bewitched comes back and I Dream of Jeannie begins (and comes back, too essentially - side note: all their "new" acquisitions are ones they have aired before which I find a bit strange).

Considering TV Land has aired almost every popular classic show imaginable, it would be pretty hard for them to find shows that they haven't aired before. Unless of course it's a newer show.

Has anyone else seen the Harry Loves Lisa promos? It reminds me of Chasing Farrah. FAIL!!

How does that fit in with their other shows like Sanford and Son? This channel continues to be such a mess with no obvious sense of focus or direction. It's been this way since 2008 and I thought they would have straightened out by now.

I am not understanding delaying the launch of Jeannie and return of Bewitched. They need new shows....everything from 9am-9pm has been airing forever (ok, maybe exclude Good Times and The Jeffersons). They need something new!

They should have something huge planned for November that would warrant them delaying the I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched launch until then. Sadly, we will probably be let down once again just as we were with the October schedule. The one thing I will say is I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched each better get at least an hour of air time everyday. I will be so annoyed if each show only gets 1/2 an hour like Good Times and The Jeffersons.

Oh man. Andy is on opposite Daniel Boone on World Harvest. Why, oh why do they put good shows on opposite other good shows? And my folks refuse to get a TIVO/dvr cuz they don't wanna pay extra for one. Oh well I saw both shows when they were originally on network tv. Now I'm being forced to choose which one I want to watch. Can't they put that stupid reality and new shows mess on at 4 pm and Andy on at a better timeslot? Just an idea worth trying Tvland...

This is great news! I'm glad to see they're starting to change things up.

However, I wish Jeannie would have gotten an afternoon/evening slot....and of course the return of Bewitched would have been good. Maybe they're waiting to move IDOJ to afternoons when Bewitched comes?

What's with The Nanny on Mondays? That's strange. TV Land needs to pull it with NAN giving it 11pm-1am. Now is the perfect time for Home Improvement to move back to Nick at Nite (where it did decently) with Malcolm gone.

Pavan
09-16-2010, 12:48 PM
Chris, Bewitched is already coming back with Jeannie, airing right after Jeannie at 11a.

I think The Nanny is on Mondays because Raymond gets the extra 8-9pm hour on Wednesday. So no Raymond at all on Monday now.

I am thrilled with this schedule! I am so glad TV Land wised up and added both I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched to the schedule for October! I'm also loving The Jeffersons at 4:30! Although, I do too wish that I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched could have also had an afternoon airing.

DSfan
09-17-2010, 01:15 AM
Wow, good job by TV Land! Although, I must say it's starting to become an extra-curricular activity trying to keep up with their constant changes - but that's good, they're trying to make their lineup the best it can be and are willing to change if things aren't working.

What I like most is how they are bringing in I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched is returning and the only show to actually be leaving is Boston Legal (who cares? never fit anyways). They are reducing some Andy Griffith but really to add 2 hours of shows that didn't air the month before at the expense of just Boston Legal, incredible!

I forgot to mention how they also managed to add an extra hour of Good Times/Jeffersons so they both air for an hour total each day which is good and helps get rid of that Andy Griffith overdose.

What I don't get, though, is why are having a "launch" marathon for IDOJ about 3 weeks after it debuts? Why not the weekend of Oct. 2 and 3rd instead?

Still a bit odd that Sanford & Son is getting 5 airplays a day....that 8-9PM needs to be changed, and I expect it soon will be.

Still a bit odd that Sanford & Son is getting 5 airplays a day....that 8-9PM needs to be changed, and I expect it soon will be.

M*A*S*H or Andy Griffith at 8 PM would make a lot of sense. Both shows are hugely popular, so they might as well air one of them during a "prime" time slot.

tvparadise
09-17-2010, 01:10 PM
I like the 70s block from 5pm - 9pm.
I would like to see them replace that 2nd hour of Sanford and Son with either M*A*S*H or give Three's Company another chance outside of late nights. It would be a suitable lead-out of the Lear shows and lead-in to the more modern shows starting at 9pm.

clj2
09-17-2010, 01:48 PM
I think M*A*S*H is definitely the best show from 8-9pm, but I think I would move Andy Griffith up later in the evening (7pm-8pm maybe) since it does very well also, and those two shows go well together.

One thing I would do is yank the 3pm hour of Bonanza and give Bewitched and Jeannie an afternoon airing each. It's good to see them changing the schedule up and continuing to see the classic television series rule the network. I'd love to see the AM airings of AITF and S&S pulled for something that isn't airing currently though.

Pavan
09-17-2010, 03:15 PM
I dont know why they don't try Three's Company again in the evenings. I know it has historically done very very well after 10pm (on both TVL and NAN), but it would totally fit with the other sitcoms from 5-9pm. Maybe something like this:

8:00am All in the Family
8:30am Sanford & Son
9:00am The Jeffersons
9:30am Good Times
10:00am Hogan's Heroes
10:30am Leave it to Beaver
11:00am Bewitched
11:30am I Dream of Jeannie
12:00pm Gunsmoke
1:00pm Bonanza
2:00pm Bonanza
3:00pm The Beverly Hillbillies
3:30pm The Beverly Hillbillies
4:00pm Bewitched

^ I LOVE that schedule. 8am-9pm would be amazing and that's how it should be done. There really isn't much of an excuse to not air everything they have access to unless the ratings are absolutely terrible at all dayparts.

I think they should just go ahead and scrap The Nanny...if it's bombed and is on Nick at Nite for 3 hours a night, what's really the point?

I dont know why they don't try Three's Company again in the evenings. I know it has historically done very very well after 10pm (on both TVL and NAN), but it would totally fit with the other sitcoms from 5-9pm. Maybe something like this:

8:00am All in the Family
8:30am Sanford & Son
9:00am The Jeffersons
9:30am Good Times
10:00am Hogan's Heroes
10:30am Leave it to Beaver
11:00am Bewitched
11:30am I Dream of Jeannie
12:00pm Gunsmoke
1:00pm Bonanza
2:00pm Bonanza
3:00pm The Beverly Hillbillies
3:30pm The Beverly Hillbillies
4:00pm Bewitched
4:30pm I Dream of Jeannie
5:00pm The Andy Griffith Show
5:30pm The Andy Griffith Show
6:00pm All in the Family
6:30pm The Jeffersons
7:00pm Three's Company
7:30pm Good Times
8:00pm Sanford & Son
8:30pm Sanford & Son
9:00pm Everybody Loves Raymond
9:30pm Everybody Loves Raymond
10:00pm Everybody Loves Raymond
10:30pm Everybody Loves Raymond
11:00pm Roseanne
11:30pm Roseanne
12:00am Roseanne
12:30pm Roseanne
1:00am The Nanny
1:30am The Nanny
2:00am Three's Company
2:30am Three's Company
3:00am M*A*S*H
3:30am M*A*S*H
4:00am Hogan's Heroes
4:30am Leave it to Beaver
5:00am The Andy Griffith Show
5:30am The Andy Griffith Show

AWESOME idea! Although I wouldn't put Bewitched and Jeannie 4-5 because WGN is doing that already. Do they still have rights to the Brady Bunch? They should be able to find it at least a half hour every day.

And I agree about maybe giving Three's Company a chance in the late afternoon or early evening. Also, would be nice to see M*A*S*H get 8-9.

Yeah, Home Improvement and Nanny should both leave. Home Improvement back to N@N or I still find it could fit Spike TV mornings next to Married with Children.

Yeah, BW/IDOJ do come on WGN from 4-5 weekdays starting towards the end of the month....I'd still like to see them on TV Land in the afternoon though since I don't get WGN.

They lost The Brady Bunch early in the summer. If they would move Home Improvement and The Nanny off of there, it would give them more time for older shows late nights, which have been taken up by the newer ones in recent years. One could only wish.

I don't understand why either I DREAM OF JENNIE or BEWITCHED would be back on;haven't these shows been ran to death in the ground? As said,it's already on WGN unless they are going to stop running it,and I dought that!Didn't need GOOD TIMES nor THE JEFFERSON either;more run into the ground shows;this what makes me mad about this network;instead of putting on shows that haven't been on awhile, they put on shows that just expried and haven't had a cooling off period.the movies are lame as usually, and as for their new show;WHO GIVES A RAT'S :cuss: !!!

Because Sanford and Son has new fans and now is pulling in good numbers.

Ok, I don't know if this has been brought up or not, but why does it say that Sanford & Son is now airing at 9:30 in place of Good Times? Is it or is it just a fluke in the schedule?

Is it or is it just a fluke in the schedule?Do you see this on your onscreen guide or tvland.com? I have that on both and thought it was a mistake, it's kind of stupid to air 6 Sanford and Son and 1 Good Times episodes a day.

TV Land.com. I agree. The number of airings of Sanford & Son compared to Good Times doesn't make sense.

The TV Land boards have PDF grids with the schedule, and it lists mornings for this week like everything else:

http://www.tvland.com/images/pdfs/TVL100410.pdf

They must have low expectations for Good Times, and we know Sanford and Son does well....the scheduling is weird though, why not do AITF/Jeffersons 8-9 then 2 Sanford episodes 9-10? I hope they cut some Sanford and Son airings next month.
