Gaithersburg, MD -- A man is accused of squirting semen from a bottle onto shoppers at two shopping malls.

Michael Wayne Edwards Jr., 28, has been charged with spraying the fluid on a shopper at a Giant Food store in Gaithersburg on July 15.

Police said he got the liquid on a woman and then snapped a photo of what he had done with his cell phone.

Edwards has also been charged in a similar incident at a Michaels craft store, also in Gaithersburg.

Police examined surveillance video and saw the suspect purchase groceries using his store bonus card.

In the doorway, the man can be seen squirting fluid from a bottle and taking a picture, police said.

Edwards was identified through his bonus card and the surveillance video.

Forensic tests confirmed the substance as semen.

DNA tests are pending.

Police said they are looking for at least two more victims.

Anyone who noticed a liquid on their clothes but wrote it off as benign is urged to call 301-258-6400.

Edwards is free on bond.

He definitely deserves that. How the hell does anyone even get an idea to do something like this.

Well, he's obviously mentally ill to some degree. No one with any sanity would do something like that. First of all, even conceiving of it is evidence of a deep sickness but then to actually DO it and to do publicly where it was fairly obvious he'd be caught...that's a person who's going the wrong way down a one-way street psychologically.

I'd say he's dangerous and I hope he is incarcerated for quite a while.

Either he has some sort of developmental disabilities or he is one of those people who likes to do "sick things" to get reactions from strangers.

He could very well be, as some jurisdictions have it as a sex crime "to propel a dangerous body substance at another person". The law usually means semen, blood, urine, and feces.

I don't think it counts saliva.
