"Glee" finale watched by nearly 11 million viewers

The finale of "Glee" on Tuesday lured nearly 11 million viewers and finished the year as the highest-rated season-ender for all freshman series, according to preliminary ratings.
The drama posted a 4.6 rating/12 share in adults 18-49 – up 18 percent from last week - and was up 21% in total viewers. Fox says the finale also represented the show’s highest-rated telecast without a lead-in from "American Idol".
"Glee" won its hour among adults 18-49, adults 18-34, teens and all female demographics.
"Glee" was also up 59% in total viewers versus what it averaged in the fall when it aired on Wednesdays (11.6 million versus 7.3 million).
ABC – which had the NBA Finals – won the night in viewers (10.52 million)
followed by CBS (9.18 million)
Fox (8.93 million)
and NBC (8.84 million)
