the short haircut agreed with her and she looked more sexy with it and not so plain as she did in the early seasons.

Short - definitely.

I thought the longer hairstyle framed her face very nicely.

Yeah, I like the longer better, if for no other reason than it makes her look younger and softer.

I guess I'm in the minority regarding Ann's hair - but I hate the mushroom/bowl cut look in general.

Nah, at this point I think it's 50/50! :)

Yep! I count the votes as 2 for short hair and 2 for longer hair. This has been your hair poll 2010 update!

It looked good long in the 70s and shorter in the 80s. Although she could have done more with it. It pretty much looked the same as those pictures for all 9 long seasons.

I agree with you! The "Dorothy Hammill 'do" was not flattering with her face shape. She looked like a ginormous flapping mouth coming right at you!

Longer hair by far. Her mushroom cut looked so odd, like she was wearing a bad toupee.

I was just thinking that when I was watching tonight. The longer hair was so cute. Better than the real short, conservative hair later on! The longer hair wasn't really long, but a cute style and very full and looked cute on her, made her look younger.;) I guess they had her have the harsh short cut later on to make her look more business women and sophisticated! ;)

How do you start a poll on these forums?

When you start a new thread, scroll down to the "Additional Options" section. At the bottom of that you'll see an option to check a box for "Yes, Post a Poll", and you can put in the # of how many responses you can put to choose from in your poll. :) Then members can anonymously vote in the poll, and you can see the # of votes for each choice, and the ongoing tally---makes threads like this much more interesting, IMO. :)

I like her hair shorter in the later years.

I remember the longer hairstyle only in the first season. I personally don't like short hair in general both for women and men.
