Rezny@gmail.com 04-22-2010, 09:44 PM And,from "The Twilight Zone",the episode "The Last Flight",with the ORIGINAL softer opening AND closing. Vito 05-17-2010, 10:21 PM The closing theme of "Cheers" is an instrumental version of the show's opening theme, which has a vocal track. biffbronson 05-18-2010, 07:15 AM The Rifleman had a great instrumental closing theme. Another nice closing theme with no vocals: Petticoat Junction. TV Knowledge Fan 05-18-2010, 04:20 PM ..."CHEERS"' closing theme is actually different from the opening: it's slower, a bit melancholy and more "reflective", as though you were leaving the bar for another week. :tv: Vito 05-18-2010, 06:42 PM ..."CHEERS"' closing theme is actually different from the opening: it's slower, a bit melancholy and more "reflective" Yes, you're right. The closing theme has the same melody as the opener, but it's slower and has a definite touch of melancholy. as though you were leaving the bar for another week. Or in Norm's case, another evening.  Rezny@gmail.com 05-18-2010, 10:43 PM And the ORIGINAL CLOSING theme by the late Bernard Herrmann was also used in the classic from season one "A Passage for Trumpet"written by Rod Serling and starring Jack Klugman as has-been trumpeter Joey Crown. Rezny@gmail.com 05-18-2010, 10:47 PM The episode mentioned in my above post was from "The Twilight Zone".Another series which had a closing theme with no words was "Night Gallery".And there are,as I said, lots of others.Feel free to post. |
