At this morning’s TCA session, ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson said he was renewing ABC’s freshman comedies Modern Family, The Middle and Cougar Town so all three will get a second season.

The Middle goes from “in some danger of cancellation by May” in our Renew/Cancel Index to…renewed. :)

This is great news. I saw some of this show for the first time this past Wednesday night. I though it was pretty funny. :lol:

Oh, okay. It's the only new show I've liked this year. I'm not wild about it, though.

It seems strange without a live audience or laughtrack.
