This thought just randomly occurred to me today. After three years of living on the Island and subsisting on diet of mainly fruit and fish shouldn't the Skipper have lost weight? What do you guys think?

JamesG 01-11-2010, 01:12 AM People have been asking the same thing about "Hurley" in LOST. catlover79 01-11-2010, 01:17 AM Just one more thing the shows don't want you to notice and question.  tv star collector 01-11-2010, 09:59 AM The Skipper was eating the guest stars! catlover79 01-11-2010, 02:18 PM The Skipper was eating the guest stars!  biffbronson 01-11-2010, 03:28 PM The Skipper never was overweight. It was strictly a glandular condition! (LOL) Actually there was probably a now-missing episode in which Gilligan hooks a large steamer trunk in the lagoon, loaded with perfectly-sealed canned hams. Those kept the Skipper eating well for a long time (and the Professor made a nuclear reactor out of the empty cans). Marvo301 01-11-2010, 07:57 PM The Skipper was eating the guest stars! Which explains why none of them ever sent a rescue party back to the Island! gilligan fanatic 01-13-2010, 08:21 PM What about that fat native girl-lol She was bigger than the Skipper, I wonder what they were feeding her. Marvo301 01-13-2010, 08:26 PM What about that fat native girl-lol She was bigger than the Skipper, I wonder what they were feeding her. Well she was from a family of headhunters and I think we all know what they eat!! gilligan fanatic 01-19-2010, 08:02 PM Well she was from a family of headhunters and I think we all know what they eat!!  Good point. Don't forget Maryann was always making coconut cream pies!!! catlover79 01-19-2010, 10:44 PM Don't forget Maryann was always making coconut cream pies!!! Yeah, those would be pretty loaded with calories. Dr. Thong 01-20-2010, 11:42 AM Not only should the Skipper have lost weight, but the Howells should have been wearing the same clothes over and over, because who would pack a full wardrobe for a three-hour boat cruise. And Mary Ann and Ginger should have both ended up pregnant, because...well after all that time on the island alone together, I think they would have hooked up with the three bachelors (Gilligan, Skipper & Professor) and maybe even Thurston Howell himself. Don't look to GI for realism or anything that makes sense -- it was, after all, a Sherwood Schwartz production. MickeyMac 01-20-2010, 12:23 PM It was a cool show, thats all that matters to me. catlover79 01-20-2010, 12:41 PM Not only should the Skipper have lost weight, but the Howells should have been wearing the same clothes over and over, because who would pack a full wardrobe for a three-hour boat cruise. Monika, consider yourself lucky Robert Reed didn't write my post -- it would have been a six page essay! If you read Barry Williams' Growing Up Brady book, you know what I'm talking about.;) |
