Mega dittos. :D
treky 11-21-2009, 01:54 AM well, the biggest thing that's happened to me is I FINALLY found out; 4 years ago, what's wrong with me and why I have trouble with my balance and my walking and speech, and why it's getting worse sometimes. For years I had been to numerous doctors and they were all stumped. Then 4 years ago, I found a doctor who knew what the problem is-H.S.P (Hereditary Spastic Parapalesis).
To be fair, though, for years noone knew about it and even now some doctors and other medical proffesionals are just hearing of it.
And since I joined I started using a motorized scooter-I used to use a manuel wheelchair. I still do, but just every once in a while.
And also-let's see-3 years ago our dog died.
A few months before that our mothers dog died.
Last spring our mother had a "cardiac arrest"-she's fine now. (and no, that's not the same as a heart attack. I forget what the difference is)
But the biggest change is-I met Lauren, Tara, Janice and a LOT of really nice people on here!!!

Got my cat Bella-2008
Lost my dog Snuggles-2009
Became close friends with Brad and Janice :) -2008

Schmoopie 11-21-2009, 04:57 AM Well, I haven't been a member for that long, so not a whole lot has happened.
I found Facebook and have been able to communicate with tons of my high school and church friends.
My mom got remarried back in July.
PZelda 11-21-2009, 09:52 AM Wow, I've been here a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
Joined on July 15, 2002.
- Graduated from HS (2003)
- Moved across state (2003)
- Started college (2004 - 2007)
- Traveled to London (2004)
- Had a cousin commit suicide -- in fact the 5 year anniversary is tomorrow. :( (November 22, 2004)
- Traveled to New York City (2006)
- Met Dustin aka Dutabi84 when he came to town for work for like 4 days (2006)
- Got really wrapped up with this one guy, and it ended horribly (2006 - 2008). Bastard is the reason I'm quick to judge now. Probably for the best, I *listen* to my gut and at first sign someone ****s me over, BAM, they're out of my life.
- Traveled to Los Angeles/Long Beach, and got to hang with Tara the whole night... so freaking awesome. (2007)
- Ended up living in Minnesota for a little while - not even 90 days, it's one ****ing LONG story as to why, PM me if you're interested (2007)
- Moved back here AGAIN, into my first place on my own with a roomie (2007)
- Last of my grandpas passed away (2007)
- Started working, yay (2007)
- Went to my alma mater for homecoming weekend... In the process, I got to see and speak to one of my former teachers literally 12 hours before she was stabbed to death. Last time I saw her was February 29, 2008... Her murder was in the wee hours of March 1st. Her murder made some pretty serious headlines.
- Left my last job for the current one I have (2009)... Tomorrow will be 7 months I've been there, holy ****.
- Flew for the first time all by myself to visit my sibs... Paid for my own tickets and flew on a plane completely solo. 'Twas awesome.
Tentative plans I have through the end of 2010 are to fly out to visit my sibs once again (NYE 2010), travel to Portland and hopefully get to meet Brad in the process (spring? summer? haven't decided) and travel to NYC (NYE 2011). :)

ekkostar 11-23-2009, 02:20 PM I'm going to college now and I don't really care about Night Court much anymore. I don't really watch television anymore, either.
Janice 11-23-2009, 11:30 PM My cat Foxy died in 2005. That was quite a loss as he was alomost 17. I took it very hard. Also, in 2004, the Red Sox won the World Series for the first time in like 85 years, lol. This was a huge deal because I really really wanted them to win just one in my husband's lifetime. If they never win another one, that's okay. :)

Me too.
3. I was a pro-choice Democrat.
I too was on the left, before I woke up.
I actually was non-political. Then I traveled overseas and saw how Americans are perceived abroad. It was very eye-opening. I became a registered democrat and minored in political science.
Two of my uncles have also died
I'm sorry to hear that. I lost both of my uncles in 2005. They didn't die, but they are no longer members of my family.
Nighthawk76 12-03-2009, 05:50 PM It has been nearly seven years since I've joined, and quite a few things...for both good and bad...have taken place during this period.
* Joind Sitcoms Online in early 2003 to post a question on the Charles In Charge board. Also saw early 80's sitcom Square Pegs for the first time.
* Janurary of 2004-Had a cancerous growth on the roof of my mouth removed. Not fun by any means.
*Spring 2004-Posted in Chit Chat for the first time. It was either the music or movies board.
*Summer 2004-Met Kate (Little Insomniac) and Jenny (Family Ties Foerver!).
*November 2004-Had an essay on filmmaker Martin Scorsese published in magazine Film Review.
*Summer 2005- I often refer to this summer as the "Cruel Summer" (after the 1984 Bananarama song) mainly because I went through three weeks of terrible insomina in which I got no more than two to three hours of sleep per night. The highlight of the sumemr in regards to SO, was metting Sonny (then known as DallasCowboysFanatic).
*December 2005- Watched The Facts of Life for the first time and fell in love with both the series as well as the character of Blair Warner. I also went through my worst period of depression since 1999.
*Spring 2006- Begin having trouble with my weight.
*August 2006-I turn 30 years old.
*April 26, 2007-Duke passes away after being sick for about three weeks. I still miss him. :( To deal with the pain of Duke's illness, I begin attending Church again. It is one of many steps in my becoming a born again Christian.
*May 2007- I buy Martina McBride's new album Waking Up Laughing. The music on this album helps me though a very difficult period after the passing of Duke. Though I had been a Martina fan for about a year or so, with this album I become a huge fan. Martina's music has gone on to mean so very much in my life.
*October 2007-I begin work at Harper Community College. I will recieve a promotion and raise, but will be laid off a year and half later. I also see Bruce Springsteen for the very first time!
*August 2008 - I begin taking post graduate classes in history.
*September 2008 - I begin dating a fellow coworker named Kelly, which lasts for four months and leads to a very difficult seperation.
*March 2009 - On Sitcoms Online I become really close friends with Billie (FactsFan), Mattie (beautifuldreamer) and Kimberlee (Punkypower). I have my first ever SO phone conversation with Billie in June and then with Kim last month.
*June 2009 - Billie and Mona (swedeace) finally convince me to join Facebook. It allows me to reconenct with some old high school friends. I also become really good friends with Cathy and Kristin, after knowing them both for several years.
*September 2009 - Develop a liver infection that causes me to be sick at least two or three times a week. I am curently taking medication for it. On a happier note, I go on my first date since my break up with Kelly. It goes well.
