I make my own sauce with meatballs, and it's very good, or so I'm told. I still use jar sauce to make things easier. I like Classico Four Cheese sauce, Francesco Rinaldi Traditional, and I also like Contadina Alfredo sauce. It comes in a small plastic container. The fresh fettuccine noodles are sold separately. I sometimes add chicken, chopped prosciutto (Italian ham), broccoli, shrimp or whatever we're in the mood for eating. Which jar sauces do you like, if any?

Prego has really good sauce. I like the Classico one, too. Especially their Alfredo sauce. YUM!

I have acid reflux disease and Prego is the only sauce I can eat that doesn't make my stomach hurt

Plus I just love Prego, I think it tastes the best

Rinaldi Vodka Sauce
Do you have to show an ID to buy this, lol, I've actually considered buying this, but the light color gives me pause. It's really good? What kind of pasta do you use?

I actually like vodka sauce a lot better than tomato sauce. I have it on pizza and macaroni.

The pasta I use for it is Barilla Rigatoni; I find that's the best for it.

Nope, as far as I'm aware the stores do not card for vodka sauce lol. Actually, for homemade vodka sauce that hasn't been properly heated it's quite possible to get a buzz from it.

Yeah, I think my Sicilian husband had it written up in a marriage contract somewhere, lol. He likes my Italian food like eggplant parm, chicken marsala or parm, fettucine Alfredo, red sauce with meatballs and sausages. Served with ravioli and Texas Toast, yum.

I'm going to try the vodka sauce. I'll buy Rigatoni too. I like that pasta with heavier sauces as it holds the sauce better.

It seems that people here like Prego sauce. I might have to try that.

I never really liked Prego. I usually just get store brand, or Ragu - parmesan, or 3 cheese or alfredo. Usually whatevers on sale.

I'm not picky just as long as it doesn't have *shudders* mushrooms. :barf:

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Paul Newman's sauce. He makes salad dressings as well. I think I'll try his pasta sauce soon.

I'm not that picky but I never buy any kind of jarred or canned spaghetti sauce that has mushrooms in it, 'cause I don't like mushrooms.

In the past few years I've been trying to find a store-bought sauce that tastes like my mom's homemade sauce. So far, the closest is Classico Spicy Red Pepper variety. I just add some black pepper and garlic, and it's (almost) just like Mom used to make.

Whenever its Mushrooms or Meat, i go with Prego, Ragu and Franceso Rinaldi

I used to like sauce on my pasta but I eat pasta with butter nowadays and Francesco Rinaldi pasta sauce used to be my favorite but when Mom buys pasta sauce she usually buys Hunt's Pasta Sauce and she likes it a lot. We used to buy Prego and Ragu pasta sauces but for some reason they lacked flavor. My aunt uses Classico Pasta Sauce in her spaghetti and she buys the mushroom and herb flavored sauce. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to eat pasta with sauce someday

Classico , Prego or Ragu . And I like either mushroom or Garden style ! I haven't ever tried Paul Newman's. His stuff is kind of pricey!;)

Yes, the best jarred pasta sauce is Rao!

I also discovered Rao's sauce a few years ago, and I love it. Another fantastic sauce is Victoria's. I'd say it's on par with Rao's, both in taste and in price.
