The mark-up is outrageous. They play on the emotions of grieving people, who feel guilty if they don't buy the best. Some Funeral places will only let you purchase caskets from them. I'm all for a free market. catlover79 10-29-2009, 05:52 PM Buying caskets from the Funeral Home is the biggest rip-offs going. The mark-up is outrageous. It's not like the occupant is going to notice a difference. Marvo301 10-29-2009, 10:36 PM Slightly morbid, but funeral prices are outrageous so if people want to save money I say go for it. It's not like the occupant is going to notice a difference. ^ True! LoveMrsG 10-29-2009, 10:50 PM Slightly morbid, but funeral prices are outrageous so if people want to save money I say go for it. It's not like the occupant is going to notice a difference. I reiterate:  Seriously though, I kind of wish I'd known about getting caskets and things online when my dad died because the funeral home I went to COMPLETELY ripped me off and cheated me out of a lot of much needed money after his death. I think it's a disgrace the way that funeral homes do that to people and really take advantage of them and their emotions while they're in the most vulnerable period of their lives. I say that if Wal-Mart can whip their ass, let 'em! ;) They totally deserve it! PZelda 10-30-2009, 01:00 AM  I didn't mean it THAT way! it was more of a "hey, I work there, so my family members can save even more getting one through me!" thing. :winkgrin LoveMrsG 10-30-2009, 01:20 AM  I didn't mean it THAT way! it was more of a "hey, I work there, so my family members can save even more getting one through me!" thing. :winkgrin  RIGHT, PZelda. That is TOTALLY what you meant. SURE. ;) Just prankin' ya. ;) comedyfreak 10-30-2009, 05:47 AM We're all going to need one eventually, unless you get cremated. The funeral homes do need competition very badly, maybe then they will lower their prices. catlover79 10-30-2009, 08:58 AM  I didn't mean it THAT way! it was more of a "hey, I work there, so my family members can save even more getting one through me!" thing. :winkgrin Remind me never to get you mad, Allison. :seeya: ;) :D PZelda 10-30-2009, 10:57 AM Remind me never to get you mad, Allison. :seeya: ;) :D Too late.................. *plots* ;) catlover79 10-30-2009, 01:57 PM Too late.................. *plots* ;) *runs away screaming* :seeya: ;) Zoneboy 10-30-2009, 11:14 PM http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo283/tzgames/Tombstone4.jpg Marvo301 10-30-2009, 11:17 PM http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo283/tzgames/TOMBSTOME3.jpg :brent:rofl: You've done it again Charles! catlover79 10-31-2009, 01:35 AM http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo283/tzgames/Tombstone4.jpg :spit:  :brent Charles, you can also write a pretty darn good limerick!!
