Which do you dread more the doctor or the dentist?

I don't like going to either, but I would have to say the dentist.

Probably the doctor.

I can't stand my doctor! I need to find a new one.

Seeing the doctor does not scare me anymore, since I am used to going..LOL
So, definitely, the dentist.

Going to the doctor's doesn't bother me so much anymore. I can even deal with getting a needle now, before I wasn't able to.

I'm more afraid of going to the dentist.

The dentist. I remember hearing funny stories from people, and in an episode of the Wonder Years (for people that are familiar with the show), Kevin's dad Jack served in the army and was in the war, and he said he didn't mind getting bullets shot at him, but dreaded visits/going to the dentist :lol: :rofl: :rofl:. I thought that was pretty good & funny. Dentist for sure.

Wow, I'm surprised at the amount of people who worry about going to the dentist. It's not so bad. :p Going to the doctor usually doesn't bother me either, although it depends on what I'm going for.

oh yes it is lol. They have the doctor, then their helper. The helper sits their for 45 minutes and sticks a tube down your throat, sucking all the oxygen and liquids out of you. I come out of the dentist's office feeling like I live in Arizona :lol:. I feel like shoving that damn tube down their throats and seeing how they like it lol. It pisses me off and gets on my nerves extremely. Everything else about the dentist bugs me too. I'd rather get a shot then go to the dentist lol.

Yeah I know what you mean. Yeah lol. And I only go to the Dentist twice a year too lol. That's how much I dread going to the Dentist.

I'm with Pleasent in saying that it depends on what I'm going for. My dentist is pretty cool, plus you can actually watch TV while you're sitting in the dentist chair! When I was little I wanted to be a dental hygentist really bad, but no way would I do that now. I don't want to be sticking my hands in people's mouths all day. I'm sure they make good money, but it's totally not worth it for me.

As for the doctor, again it depends on what I'm going in for. I had to go in for a biopsy last summer and I was scared about that, but it went pretty smoothly and fortunately everything was okay.

Generally I hate going to the doctors more, since my doctors visits are usually at my OBGYN for a pap test, and those aren't fun.

I'll put it this way... I would rather to to 10 doctor's appointments than to 1 dentist appointment!

DOCTOR! I hate to go to the doctor. I am always afraid something will turn out to be seriously wrong with me and I am also self-conscious about my weight so I hate facing the scale at the doctor's office.

I really like my dentist though and I'm never scared to go there. In fact, this thread reminded me that I need to make an appointment soon.

I'm ok with both. Usually my dental appointments are with a hygenist for a full teeth cleaning. My dentist is pretty cool.

I hate going to the doctors, probably because I've probably been to 50 appointments over the past three years. I'm just tired of it. It's over now for the most part because there's nothing they can do to help me. It's taken them all that time to figure that out.

I dread both, esp. if needles are involved.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and I'm not worried, really.

For me, dentist and doctor appointments are just one of those things that I don't necessarily look forward to, but I don't get worried about at all either... especially if the doctor or dentist a good-looking young man.:lol: kidding.. though not really. :rolleyes: :crazy:
