Which do you dread more the doctor or the dentist?
I don't like going to either, but I would have to say the dentist.

I don't like going to either, but I would have to say the dentist. MickeyMac 09-25-2009, 10:21 PM Probably the doctor. catlover79 09-25-2009, 10:29 PM Dentist! Chocoholic 09-25-2009, 10:48 PM I can't stand my doctor! I need to find a new one. Theda Bara 09-25-2009, 11:10 PM Seeing the doctor does not scare me anymore, since I am used to going..LOL So, definitely, the dentist. phoebe7165 09-26-2009, 01:36 AM Going to the doctor's doesn't bother me so much anymore. I can even deal with getting a needle now, before I wasn't able to. I'm more afraid of going to the dentist. Nighthawk76 09-26-2009, 01:39 AM Dentist  Wreckless 09-26-2009, 01:39 AM The dentist. I remember hearing funny stories from people, and in an episode of the Wonder Years (for people that are familiar with the show), Kevin's dad Jack served in the army and was in the war, and he said he didn't mind getting bullets shot at him, but dreaded visits/going to the dentist   . I thought that was pretty good & funny. Dentist for sure. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-26-2009, 01:52 AM Wow, I'm surprised at the amount of people who worry about going to the dentist. It's not so bad. :p Going to the doctor usually doesn't bother me either, although it depends on what I'm going for. Wreckless 09-26-2009, 02:13 AM Wow, I'm surprised at the amount of people who worry about going to the dentist. It's not so bad.. oh yes it is lol. They have the doctor, then their helper. The helper sits their for 45 minutes and sticks a tube down your throat, sucking all the oxygen and liquids out of you. I come out of the dentist's office feeling like I live in Arizona . I feel like shoving that damn tube down their throats and seeing how they like it lol. It pisses me off and gets on my nerves extremely. Everything else about the dentist bugs me too. I'd rather get a shot then go to the dentist lol. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-26-2009, 02:18 AM oh yes it is lol. They have the doctor, then their helper. I'd rather get a shot then go to the dentist lol. haha I guess I'm thinking more of seeing the hygienist. That's not bad at all. I really don't go to the dentist so I can see your point. Yikes. Wreckless 09-26-2009, 02:21 AM haha I guess I'm thinking more of seeing the hygienist. That's not bad at all. I really don't go to the dentist so I can see your point. Yikes. Yeah I know what you mean. Yeah lol. And I only go to the Dentist twice a year too lol. That's how much I dread going to the Dentist. Schmoopie 09-26-2009, 02:21 AM I'm with Pleasent in saying that it depends on what I'm going for. My dentist is pretty cool, plus you can actually watch TV while you're sitting in the dentist chair! When I was little I wanted to be a dental hygentist really bad, but no way would I do that now. I don't want to be sticking my hands in people's mouths all day. I'm sure they make good money, but it's totally not worth it for me. As for the doctor, again it depends on what I'm going in for. I had to go in for a biopsy last summer and I was scared about that, but it went pretty smoothly and fortunately everything was okay. sara 09-26-2009, 02:55 AM Generally I hate going to the doctors more, since my doctors visits are usually at my OBGYN for a pap test, and those aren't fun. Fleet 09-26-2009, 03:07 AM I'll put it this way... I would rather to to 10 doctor's appointments than to 1 dentist appointment! Theda Bara 09-26-2009, 07:08 AM As for the doctor, again it depends on what I'm going in for. I had to go in for a biopsy last summer and I was scared about that, but it went pretty smoothly and fortunately everything was okay. I am so happy to hear that..YAY:) Tuesday Weld 09-26-2009, 08:02 AM I dread the DR. more. PZelda 09-26-2009, 09:35 AM Looks like I'm the only one here who isn't bothered by going to the doctor or the dentist. comedyfreak 09-26-2009, 09:54 AM I dread the Dentist more. I'm overdue for a crown, lol. LuLu Rogers 09-26-2009, 12:16 PM Dentist! I have very sensitive teeth! ZeldaGilroy 09-26-2009, 12:25 PM DOCTOR! I hate to go to the doctor. I am always afraid something will turn out to be seriously wrong with me and I am also self-conscious about my weight so I hate facing the scale at the doctor's office. I really like my dentist though and I'm never scared to go there. In fact, this thread reminded me that I need to make an appointment soon. browneyes106 09-26-2009, 04:21 PM I'm ok with both. Usually my dental appointments are with a hygenist for a full teeth cleaning. My dentist is pretty cool. Crimson and Clover 09-26-2009, 04:39 PM The doctor def. Now that Im pregnant again and there are problems I have to go like 3 times a month. Tuesday Weld 09-26-2009, 04:58 PM The doctor def. Now that Im pregnant again and there are problems I have to go like 3 times a month. I hope you and your baby will be ok, Mary. Janice 09-27-2009, 02:54 PM I hate going to the doctors, probably because I've probably been to 50 appointments over the past three years. I'm just tired of it. It's over now for the most part because there's nothing they can do to help me. It's taken them all that time to figure that out. Family Ties Forever! 09-27-2009, 07:22 PM I dread both, esp. if needles are involved. I hate going to the doctors, probably because I've probably been to 50 appointments over the past three years. I'm just tired of it. It's over now for the most part because there's nothing they can do to help me. It's taken them all that time to figure that out. I'm sorry that there's nothing the doctors can do to help you Janice. :( Schmoopie 09-28-2009, 12:47 AM I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and I'm not worried, really. beautifuldreamer 09-28-2009, 01:21 AM I don't really hate one over the other lol. For me, dentist and doctor appointments are just one of those things that I don't necessarily look forward to, but I don't get worried about at all either... especially if the doctor or dentist a good-looking young man. kidding.. though not really.  |
