Dang, that guy was a hottie (not quite up there in my eyes with Gregory Sierra, but he comes close). He could SING, too - loved the version of "Cabaret" that he sang at the piano in the bar. Too bad he left the show (even though he later came back) - and sadder still that he's since passed away. :rip:

And his talents weren't restricted to acting and singing. He also co-created (with Eric Monte) and was a writer for the series Goodtimes. In fact he was writnng on Goodtimes at the same time he was playing Lionel on the Jeffersons.

I liked him as Mike a lot; I think after he finally came clean with Archie and dropped the fake "Uncle Tom" routine they kind of didn't know what to do with him though.

I agree it's a shame he died so very young and that he wasn't able to do more in the industry.

^ No, he passed away in December 2006. I brought it up because I checked out the DVD sets from the library and am watching it from the beginning.
