I was doing a web search for something Gilligan related and noticed Mr. Howell's christian name was spelt Thirston!!
But it wasn't a single time, there quite a few different web sites with it.
I guess seeing it spelled out 98 times (99 if you count the pilot) in the opening credits isn't quite enough for some. :)

I've seen that hip hop artist's name spelt Thirstin as well.
I don't know if it's a tribute to Gilligan's Island or not but it definitely doesn't get an "A" for originality.

yeah it is a tribute to Gilligan's Island. Their is no place else that name is from lol. And I kinda like it.
