And which topics might those be?
Marvo301 07-30-2009, 09:27 PM I shop at Amazon and have purchased DVD's and books from them. I have attemted to purchase items on E-Bay on a couple of occasions but was not successful. To me there are two big differences between the two. First of all on Amazon you know exactly the price you are going to pay whereas at E-Bay you don't know the price until the end of the auction. Second, when you purchase something from Amazon you know you are going to receive that item whereas on E-Bay only the person that wins the auction gets the item and even then you have to hope the seller is honest and dealing in good faith. So I would rather shop at Amazon.

lately i been ordoring from amazon n walmart.com where my mom works both work for me also got to watch the prices before u buy they seem to go up no matter where u buy them
browneyes106 07-31-2009, 12:13 AM I shop more from Amazon. The only time I shop ebay is if I'm trying to find things that are hard to find.
InspectorExstead 07-31-2009, 03:23 AM I prefer Ebay for shopping. Amazon is usually where I buy textbooks because they have some good deals on there. Also, I prefer to sell things on Amazon (the only things I really sell are books) because you can list things for longer and for free, even though they do get a percentage of your profits.
Kristen 07-31-2009, 03:34 AM Ebay is good if what you're looking for is rare. I've bought stuff there occaisonally, but I'm a die-hard Amazon user. They've got everything. It's def. one of the best online stores.

comedyfreak 07-31-2009, 04:19 AM Ebay for me, don't know my password for Amazon anymore, LOL.
ekkostar 07-31-2009, 09:42 AM I used to like Amazon but lately they have trouble processing gift cards so I haven't bothered to use them much. I'm starting to like department store websites like Wal-Mart and Target much better, especially where the stores sell their own special cards that get instant approval online.

Keep in mind that you don't have to bid on anything on eBay. The buy it now option is always there and you can find a good deal if you take the time to look for one. If I'm looking for an item, I always search the buy it now listings with lowest prices first. I then make sure the shipping charges are reasonable and finally I check the seller's rating before purchasing.
Torgo 07-31-2009, 10:24 AM I shop Amazon and Half.com- both are the same type of stores.
JulieSomoski 07-31-2009, 02:26 PM I shop nowhere else but ebay now. I have saved so much money since finding ebay it's not even funny. DVDs that would go for $25-$30 in a store I've gotten for $10. As long as you know how to bid, and don't get frustrated easily, I highly recommend going to ebay.
MonarC 07-31-2009, 03:34 PM I use both and they both have worked out great for me.
I like Amazon, it's easy & quick & so far there's been no problem with any of my orders. My son however, is a big fan of ebay, he's ordered a bunch of stuff for his atv & his car on that site & he's gotten some great bargains. But I just prefer Amazon for my purchases.
MickeyMac 07-31-2009, 04:16 PM I like ebay better. It easier to get records on ebay.
MikeLutton 07-31-2009, 05:01 PM amazon for me it much easier long as u got enough money for it lol its all cool
qwerty 08-01-2009, 10:45 AM I buy coupons online frequently and can't find them at Amazon so I'll have to say I like eBay better. I also use Amazon sometimes and have had no problems with either site.
TVFactFan 08-01-2009, 06:15 PM No Compeition, Ebay is the clear cut winner because
the shipping is not through UPS
the products are cheaper
you get more of a selection
you received your product faster
Amazon is garbage
littlebelle 08-02-2009, 02:44 AM Ebay, because they have more stuff for collectors like myself. I hardly ever bid unless I have to. It's just stressful and annoying... and sometimes I feel bad when I win an item that one other person was bidding on.
Zoneboy 08-02-2009, 02:55 AM No Compeition, Ebay is the clear cut winner because
the shipping is not through UPS
That depends on the seller, Some use UPS only
the products are cheaper
Not always but I have noticed that a lot of Amazon sellers do price their items considerably higher than those on eBay
you get more of a selection
If we're talking about vintage items then you're correct but new stuff is just as common on one site as it is the other.
you received your product faster
Not necessarily, On eBay it all depends on when the seller ships the item and the method used.
Family Ties Forever! 08-02-2009, 03:02 AM I use Amazon. I don't understand Ebay. While I have had a few problems recently with Amazon, overall it's a good site. Just the other day I bought a Janet Evanovich book on cd. I'm waiting for it to show up. :)
