BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - State troopers say a man was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly driving drunk to a state trooper station, mistaking it for a hotel.
Troopers say Mitchell Deslatte, 25, knocked on the front door of Troop A.
After troopers buzzed him in, Deslatte asked the trooper working at the desk if he was in a hotel.
Deslatte was booked with DWI.

This guy reminds me of Otis from "The Andy Griffith Show"! He always used to show up at the courthouse when he had been drinking and put himself in a cell!

I loved Otis. He was awesome - and ironically, Hal Smith never touched a drop of alcohol in his life! (I heard Andy Griffith say that in an interview several years ago.)

Wow for someone who never touched a drop of alcohol he did an amazing job playing a drunk. My favorite Otis episode was when the jail was full and Otis had to serve his time at Andy's house and Aunt Bee made Otis do all the housework!

It was! Since both cells at the courthouse were full Andy brought Otis to his house to serve his 24 hours in custody. Since Andy had to go to work the next morning he put Aunt Bea in charge of Otis. And Aunt Bea decided Otis' sentence called for some hard labor! In fact she worked Otis so hard he tried to escape several times. But each time he got caught and was given even more housework to do. When the 24 hours was up and Otis was finally allowed to go home he swore to Andy that he would never touch another drop of alcohol!

What a funny story! Must have been fate that made him drive to that "theme hotel". Now if only all people who drink and drive would do that, the world would be a much better place!
