View Full Version : I Lost My Cell Phone, & It's on Vibrate....
Wreckless 07-09-2009, 01:58 PM I heard you can call whatever company you have (Cingular, Verizon etc.) and they can give you the lost phone's lat/long position, and you can find it with a gps system, is that true? is their someway I can call AT&T (the company I have, formerly Cingular Wireless) and get them to put the phone on ringtone, instead of vibrator? i'm at my uncles house and babysitting, and suddenly it just disappears. I checked in between the seats on the couch, and I thought it might of fell out of my pocket on the seat of his truck when we drove up this morning, but I remember checking the time on the phone after I was in his house.
browneyes106 07-09-2009, 05:00 PM Can I ask how old are the kids you are babysitting? Sometimes kids get cell phones to play with. I know I have to hide my cell phone when I have my two-year-old nephew with me.
GARFIELDKOOL 07-09-2009, 07:37 PM That sucks, wreckless. I lost my cell phone last summer at a cookout. I had loose pockets though. Because I didn't have insurance on the phone, I had to pay for another. (I use Cricket)
As for that information, try calling AT&T. I think I heard some companies do that, but I am not 100% sure.
PZelda 07-09-2009, 07:44 PM I lost my phone at someone's place once, and it was on vibrate as well. I found my phone between the two CPUs he had, on the floor.
Just look for it in really weird places where you don't think it'll be. You might be surprised!

The same thing just happened to me. This time I bought the insurance!!
Wreckless 07-10-2009, 07:54 AM I found the phone y'all. Thanks anyway. It was in the one play outside of the house that I didn't look . My cousin has swing sets, but also has a traditional bigger swing for everybody to sit on, and it was right in front of that, in plain site lol.
And it was on vibrate. I have loose pockets in these shorts I'm wearing but I have it on ringtone now. Thanks.

That sucks about your phone. A friend of mine lost his, and had it on vibrate, and couldn't find it for like 2 years. Obviously he bought a new one soon after, but he found the phone years later.....in between the couch cushions  ;). Pain the butt it is.
Schmoopie 07-11-2009, 03:07 AM Whew! So glad you found your phone, Wreckless! I would have been SO panicked! I didn't know that about calling the phone company to have them switch the phone to a ring, though. That's good information to have!!
Janice Johnson 07-11-2009, 05:32 PM Oh, WRECKLESS you lost your phone? Isn't your name a bit ironic in this situation?;) (I mean this in a good natured way):happyface :p
