View Full Version : Who's going to buy The Lucy Show? Squeaky Clean 06-08-2009, 06:58 PM Just out of curiosity, who will be buying The Lucy Show season 1 when it's released next month? I am. I'm not too crazy about Here's Lucy, but I always enjoyed the first three seasons of The Lucy Show because it had Vivian in it. Larry Surrell 06-08-2009, 09:00 PM I'm in. I always liked the Danfield episodes. I didn't like the California episodes as much, but I'll probably buy them too when they come out just to have the whole series. I must say, if you like I Love Lucy, you'd have to like the first season of The Lucy Show because that first season is on par with I Love Lucy, and way better than Here's Lucy (though I think Here's Lucy is generally much better than the later seasons of The Lucy Show). I think that first season of The Lucy Show includes some of Lucille Ball's (and Vivian Vance's) finest work. It's pure gold. The wonderful classic eps: The Commercial, Switching Jobs etc. She was a genius @ physical comedy. I Love Lucy.
