Has anyone heard of or used Cyberdefender? I need to get some new anti virus software and have been seeing a lot of things about it. I was just wondering if anyone has used it?

i would avoid it - it has horrible reviews, costs $40, and only recently was removed from at least one bad software/malware list. Of the quick research I did, the ONLY positive "reviews" I could find were put up by themselves...

there are several good free options like AVG (http://free.avg.com/), Antivir (http://www.free-av.com/)and Avast (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)

all of them are FREE (for home use) and rated as good or better as the big name paid-for programs.

Thanks for the review. I downloaded the scanner and it found a bunch of stuff that I didn't know was there. I will keep you advised :)
