I live in Kentucky and back in January, and I heard about this a few days weeks/days after things had settled down. We were in church and somebody said they pass by this other church every morning on their way to work. They said the sign read: Did you see God or the mess?
That got a few amens from the congregation.
If you didn't see how KY looked on the news when we had Winter Storm '09 (as some people in KY call it. My family does anyway), it was horrible. There's videos of it on YouTube. Just type in Kentucky Winter Storm 2009.

There's a little "town" (farms really) just south of me called, "Claude". They have a little church on the "main drag" that would seat maybe 50 at most. A very modest parking lot is attached.

Most recently, their sign announced, "FREE PARKING FOR THE FIRST 200 CARS!"

Whoever does their signs has quite a sense of humour - they're almost always funny and it DOES draw attention.

Last spring I went there to get plants and the money goes to the church. The elders were there and we joked and laughed so hard. It made me buy more plants than I had planned! And when I lamented that I would love a ***** willow bush, the eldest elder to me to hang on a half hour, and they'd be back with one - they'd steal it from his neighbour's property! :lol: All in fun and "church irony" of course. ;)

If I were to join any church in my area, it would be this one.

Just checked out a link and actually, it's the same Claude Presbyterian Church that has the "Some Questions Can't Be Answered By Google" one too! hahaha

Those are wonderful. I saw another great church sign driving home from Bible study: "God is not finished with us yet". I had my camera in my bag and would've liked to snap a photo, but it was raining and lightning was flashing all over the place. I wasn't about to take the chance.
