Garfield is a Redskins fan, and I'm sure he wasn't happy when the Giants won the Super Bowl two years ago. But he wouldn't give up the sport forever just because a divisional rival won a title.

The Phillies made the playoffs by default and thats why their championship killed my interest in baseball.

Well the Phillies did win the title in 1980. I remember that series. I rooted for the Royals. And it did take them until last year to win it again.lol I've had teams win the SB that practically made me sick. lol Back in the 80's when the 49ers and Redskins were winning SB's and the Cowboys were near the bottom it was as bad as it gets. . In 1989 when the 49ers blew out Denver 55-10 , I went to bed at halftime. That's the only SB I never finished watching.

That's why winning those SB's in the early 90's felt so good. It was because I stuck with my team through the real bad times and I felt it was worth it. I remember going shopping for Cowboys stuff in 1989 ( this was in Redskins territory) and having salespeople laugh at me. lol

But when a team wins a title that wasnt SUPPOSED to be in the playoffs it's extra painful so I guess I can see your point because that year that Giants wasn' expected to do anything.

I don't think tonight's game is going to live up to the hype. North Carolina is just too good, and I'm expecting them to win by atleast double digits. I did pick Michigan State to win their last game, but lets face it, their last game wasn't against North Carolina.
