The title pretty much explains my excitement. :lol: I sent an e-mail to Mary about a month ago and today my brother handed my mom the mail and there was this big white envelope on the bottom and I instantly knew it was from Mary. I was like 'This is mine!' and ran off into my room to open it. :lol: It has the picture of her from The Dick Van Dyke Show Revisited and she signed it 'Hi Jessica, Mary Tyler Moore'. I'm so excited! :D

How cool! That is wonderful. I'm glad for you. Looks like you're gonna make it after all. LOL.

With these mail-in autographs, how do you know that it is actually signed by the person you requested? How do you know that it is not a copy, not signed by a representative, or signed by a robot-pen?

Personally, I don't go for mail-ins and all of the autographs that I have I got in person; so I know for sure that it was actually signed by the person.

Mary is not a celebrity who is known to send fakes through the mail.

Myself, I just wouldn't do it. I just am better off knowing for sure that I got something signed by a person (right in front of me) and not question its authenticity. That's the way it is with me.

That's fine. But for me, I feel that I'm educated enough on the subject to not have to question the authenticity of the majority of the people I write.

Thats awesome!!! Mary's is one of my favorite autographs I have... and Betty White's because she was the first. And she signs her dog's name on the pic too...I know I'm not the only one!!! :)

That's awesome. I got an autograph from her in February 2009 that is personalized to me. It took 5 months for me to get it though.
