Great acting, great direction, amazing script. I think that it was second only to Eyes Wide Shut as the best movie of 1999. :) Nighthawk76 02-24-2009, 12:40 AM The Blues Brothers American Pie catlover79 02-24-2009, 12:41 AM American Beauty was a brilliant piece of work. Never saw Eyes Wide Shut - because I can't stomach Tom Cruise. Nighthawk76 02-24-2009, 12:45 AM All due respect Mike, I have to agree to disagree with you here. I've known some people saying this movie changed their lives. I'm like I hope you mean in the sense that the mafia is not glamorous. catlover79 02-28-2009, 11:08 AM "E.T., THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL"; there are some people who love it, but I hate it; I think it's one of the worst movies ever. I did see ET on the big screen for its 20th anniversary (I was barely 3 when it was first released), and I've never understood the appeal myself. To each his own, I guess. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-28-2009, 01:47 PM Not much for me here either, cause no one likes Bicentennial Man and Sweet 15 and Superman IV I...actually really like Bicentennial Man. :o MickeyMac 02-28-2009, 02:00 PM Any of the Star Wars films. Frankly I think George Lucas should have retired after American Graffiti Any films with Will Farrell, Adam Sandler, Tina Fey, Chris Farley, or anybody that has been on Saturday Night Livein the last 25 years. I agree. I don't so much mind Tina Fey, but I do agree with the rest of those people. I'd also add Ben Stiller to that list. Not sure how these movies are considered "comedy." I'm also not a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Brian 02-28-2009, 11:17 PM I consider Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo to be the most overrated movie I've ever seen. I saw it a few years ago for a film class and I thought it was just OK. I didn't know anything about it, so it wasn't like there was any hype. Then I learn that a lot of people to consider it among his best films, if not THE best of his films. I've seen Rear Window, Marnie, North by Northwest, Psycho, and The Birds and I thought all of those were much better than Vertigo, even Marnie. 70s show watcher 03-01-2009, 12:41 AM I agree.
