View Full Version : Lucky Charms 'Lucky" Got A Makeover! Janice Johnson 02-21-2009, 10:09 AM Has anyone noticed that "Lucky" from Lucky Charms cereal got a makeover? :) He went from looking like a 7 year old to a teenager.....:D He looks a lot better nowawadays!:D MikeLutton 02-21-2009, 12:14 PM didnt notice can u post pic please Janice Johnson 02-21-2009, 12:17 PM didnt notice can u post pic please I don't have the picture, but I saw Lucky on a commercial for Lucky Charms (2008) and he looked older than a commercial that aired around the 80's).... MrCleveland 02-21-2009, 12:30 PM It's almost like what they did to Sonny who sponsors Coco Puffs.... Here's what Sonny looked like in the 60's....http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Ay7TUQMYFEw/SFag8Z6oFrI/AAAAAAAAAik/QNhjCEmMyJ0/s320/coco008.jpg Now here's Sonny today....http://www.annotatedmst.com/episodes/superdragon/Cocoa_Puffs_shirt_link.jpg All I have to say is...WTF?! Sonny wore a striped-shirt for all these years and in 2004...he goes full-frontal? Why? Is it because he looks like a Jailbird so they just said "**** it, let's make this bird go naked". Now I think it's funny when some cartoon characters wind-up into the 'Barnyard Nudity' scenario like Donald Duck or Porky Pig, but Sonny was better when he wore his striped-shirt. But about five years ago I just couldn't bring myself to eat a whole bowl. They had become disgusting. To this day I can't eat the stuff. browneyes106 02-21-2009, 03:15 PM http://www.ave25.com/blogging/image/lucky-charms.jpg http://blogs.westword.com/cafesociety/lucky%20charms%20hourglass.jpg I agree in the early version he looks like a little kid. Marvo301 02-21-2009, 03:25 PM Is it just me or does the early Lucky look a little like Eddie Munster? catlover79 02-21-2009, 04:31 PM ^ He does. As far as the newest picture, I don't notice any real change, but to each his own. beautifuldreamer 02-21-2009, 06:25 PM ^ He does. As far as the newest picture, I don't notice any real change, but to each his own. lol, to each his own. I think there is slight difference in Lucky's appearance... seen more heavily in person, of course.:D My family says it looks like he had some minor plastic surgery to grow up. If you ask me, I think he's lost some weight too! Chocoholic 02-21-2009, 08:27 PM My guess is, he got lucky ;) beautifuldreamer 02-21-2009, 09:46 PM My guess is, he got lucky ;) lol, good one! ekkostar 02-21-2009, 11:42 PM I thought it was going to be a drastic change like they gave him an emo haircut and a green hoodie or something. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 02-22-2009, 01:09 AM I looooove Lucky Charms. I've been on a Lucky Charms kick lately. I'd eat some now, but I ran out of milk. :( tv star collector 02-22-2009, 09:46 AM John Holahan, a former General Mills vice president, created Lucky Charms cereal in the 1960s. Arthur Anderson was Lucky the leprechaun's voice. Trivia note: the word "leprechaun" is derived from the Gaelic luacharman'n, meaning "pygmy" or leith brogan, "maker of one shoe." In Irish folklore, leprechauns are fairy cobblers who make shoes for elves. (Source: www. tvacres.com) that reminds me of that Grimm fairytale 'The Elves And The Shoemaker' GARFIELDKOOL 02-22-2009, 02:02 PM I used to love Lucky Charms. But about five years ago I just couldn't bring myself to eat a whole bowl. They had become disgusting. To this day I can't eat the stuff. I am like that with Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry. They use to be real good, but now I can't eat it because it sogs up too quick. I think they changed the formula. As far as Lucky Charms, it could be because of all the marshmellows in milk. Janice Johnson 02-23-2009, 06:43 PM lol, to each his own. My family says it looks like he had some minor plastic surgery to grow up. ! If that's true, Lucky is the ONLY person I know who got plastic surgery to look OLDER!!!!!!!!! |
