View Full Version : Jeffery Tambor question StevieB 01-10-2009, 12:48 AM Does anybody know the titles of the TC episodes he starred in? Thanks! Cheers! Sincerely, Steve B. :) *Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-10-2009, 01:24 AM They are... Triangle Trouble (1979) as Jeffrey Brookes Father of the Bride (1981) as Winston Cromwell III Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1981) as Dr. Tom Miller Jack Goes to the Dentist (1982) as Dr. Phillip Greene catlover79 01-10-2009, 02:34 AM Jeffrey Tambor is probably my favorite TC guest star. He also had a cameo in 1999's Muppets In Space, and was very funny there, too. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-10-2009, 03:54 AM Jeffrey Tambor is probably my favorite TC guest star. He also had a cameo in 1999's Muppets In Space, and was very funny there, too. lol, he's great. On Three's Company, I especially loved him in Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. catlover79 01-10-2009, 11:40 AM lol, he's great. On Three's Company, I especially loved him in Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. That's the one where Janet offered him the bowl of nuts, isn't it? Yeah, that was pretty funny. catlover79 01-10-2009, 02:28 PM I love this pic: *Pleasant Tomorrow* 01-10-2009, 04:32 PM That's the one where Janet offered him the bowl of nuts, isn't it? Yeah, that was pretty funny. yup, that's it...and the one with the song "boom diddum diddum, choo, and they swam, and they swam, and over the dam" or something like that  catlover79 01-10-2009, 05:19 PM yup, that's it...and the one with the song "boom diddum diddum, choo, and they swam, and they swam, and over the dam" or something like that  Thanks, Ashlee. I saw a blooper from that episode on one of Dick Clark's blooper shows. John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt were totally losing it. StevieB 01-11-2009, 12:53 PM According to the "IMDB", Jeffery Tambor was in "Triangle Troubles", which involved the Ropers moving into their new house, and meeting Jeffery Brookes, and his family, for the first time. However, according to my TC DVD, "Triangle Troubles" is about Jack liking a girl who lives with two men. Jeffery Tambor is not in that particular episode. I am not sure why the IMDB has wrong information. Can anybody help? Thanks! Cheers! Sincerely, Steve B. Hers&Hers&His 01-11-2009, 03:19 PM Triangle Troubles is about Jack going out with a girl that lives with 2 guys. The episode where the Ropers move into their new house is called "Moving On", which is actually the first episode of The Ropers, but it is shown in Three's Company syndication (though not on the dvd). Jeffrey Tambor is not in Triangle Troubles, but he is in Moving On, as well as all (or almost all) the rest of The Ropers episodes, as he is their neighbor. Willsatx 01-12-2009, 12:23 AM Thanks, Ashlee. I saw a blooper from that episode on one of Dick Clark's blooper shows. John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt were totally losing it. Jack also told him he had a screw loose. Smartboy 01-17-2009, 11:28 PM I love this pic: I also get a lot of enjoyment out of this picture! I would like to share with the reader the main reason why I like it so much. Ever since I was twelve years old, I have looked at a lady's purse as one of the many things that makes her attire different from a man's and attractive to him. In my opinion, Terri had an excellent collection of purses! She always looked lovely carrying them! The purse that she has in the picture is one that she used shortly after her character was introduced. It was her main purse for about half of the 1981-82 season. Although I like a lot of the purses that she carries later on, that one is my favorite! Very often when she would go to parties or out on dates, she would take a clutch bag. I thought that those were very nice too! catlover79 01-17-2009, 11:34 PM ^ Glad you enjoyed it. :D Lyverbe 01-19-2009, 01:48 PM That's the one where Janet offered him the bowl of nuts, isn't it? Yeah, that was pretty funny. Yeah, and Joyce can barely keep a straight face. This episode is definitely in my top 3. Tambor is just fantastic in it. catlover79 01-19-2009, 02:48 PM Yeah, and Joyce can barely keep a straight face. This episode is definitely in my top 3. Tambor is just fantastic in it. Yes, he really is an underrated character actor. janet42 01-19-2009, 06:53 PM Yes, he really is an underrated character actor. Yeah he's really good, but my favorite episode with him was "Jack goes to the Dentist". :) catlover79 01-19-2009, 07:10 PM Yeah he's really good, but my favorite episode with him was "Jack goes to the Dentist". :) That was a good one, too!! Smartboy 01-24-2009, 06:55 PM This is the second of two threads that I am bringing to the top of this page to see if I can stimulate some more conversation about this fine show! One thing that I find impossible to stress too much is how much I like that picture. In my opinion, Terri with that beautiful purse over her little shoulder is really hard to beat! Wow! Smartboy 02-10-2009, 09:27 PM I love this pic: I am bringing this thead to the top in hopes of stimulating some more conversation about this fine show! I would love to read about what other people think about how Terri looks with that lovely little purse over her shoulder! SlayerShel 02-18-2009, 07:09 AM I saw him recently on an episode of Entourage. They mentioned his name and I was like OMG that really IS Jeffrey Tambor! |
