so i have a friend who is bi and who also happens to have a crush on the same teacher from my school that i like. and we were discussing it one day and i said, 'she has a facebook page but she won't accept friend requests from students.' i completely respect this fact so i never added her, and never talked about it with her.
my friend said "how about we make a fake account with fake pictures and add her and then talk to her on it?" she said i should do it and i said no, if you want to do it, you do it. (BIG MISTAKE RIGHT THERE). i had to sign off AIM and she said she'd do it tomorrow.
so an hour later after having given it a lot of thought i realized, omg, if she actually does this and goes too far with it and it gets back to this teacher, she might either a. never speak to me again and think i'm sneaky and a creep for having been even slightly involved, or she may think i was involved all the way which i was not, or b. we could somehow get in trouble for it. and besides it's not right and kind of an invasion of her privacy, especially when she specifically said she doesn't want us adding her on there until we are either graduating or she leaves.
so i told my friend, i don't think you should do it, i don't feel right about it and i don't want any further participation.
so the next day i found out she went through with it. i don't know if the teacher accepted the fake friend request, it probably looked suspicious and she denied it.
but do you think that after i emphasized i want no participation in it, that she (teacher) would get mad at me if she found out or that i could get in trouble of any kind? because i don't feel right about doing that to anyone, it's almost stalking them, and that's not something i do.
am i in any way wrong here? do you think i could get in trouble if the girl takes it too far, and do you think this teacher would blame me at all for what happened if she found out?
see, i wish i'd just told my friend i thought what she wanted to do was creepy from the start, but for some reason my judgment wasn't the best until i thought about it a little more. :(
