View Full Version : Congratulations to Joe Torre and the Dodgers, they just Swept the CUBS-lol TVFactFan 10-05-2008, 01:12 AM This proves that winning the division and having the best record doesn' mean DIDLEY POO in the month of October-lol Cubs are Pathetic-lol Schmoopie 10-05-2008, 01:52 AM I love the Cubs and it's too bad they were swept, but I do like Joe Torre. They always say that managers are to blame if a team doesn't do as well as expected but here's one example of where they are wrong. I mean, when he was with the Yanks, they always went to the playoffs, and this year they didn't. And yet, the Dodgers did. Andrea EighteenMinutes 10-05-2008, 02:39 AM Posted this on another thread. As probably one of the most die-hard Cub fans on this board, this pretty much sums up my thoughts: As a life-long Cubs fan....piss on 'em. Really. If there was ever a Cubs team to win it all....this was the team. To be the best team in the NL for a majority of the season and come into the playoffs looking like a bunch of 12-year-old little leaguers.... ...piss on 'em. I won't ever get to the point where I don't love the Cubs. But for crying out loud, this was ridiculous. Best of luck to you, Dodgers fans. The Cubs gave you this one on a silver platter. Make the most of it. [On a side note, if anyone is looking for an overpaid left-fielder, please contact Jim Hendry ASAP.] TVFactFan 10-05-2008, 12:44 PM I love the Cubs and it's too bad they were swept, but I do like Joe Torre.
