Kind of odd picture. While walking through a local cemetery in my hometown of Toronto, Canada last summer, I stumbled across this interesting headstone. The same word "DEATH" is the only marking on both sides of the stone. No name. No date. I guess even death has gotta go sometime.

LOL - I knew Sarah would like that one! So will Fleet probably.

Actually, "Death" is a surname. My mother worked for a Dr. Death (Yep - no kidding - a doctor!) in Sudbury. It's actually pronounced "Deeth". I had a Dr. Bury too for a while! hehe

I didn't know you were originally from Toronto Snow. So are you American or Canadian? Was it Mountpleasant Cemetary the pic was taken in?

Wow, that's really eerie! Kind of ironic that it's a person's surname, but still... Gives me chills just thinking about it!

There's a movie called "Love & Death in Long Island and John Hurt's character name is Dr. Giles De'Ath. A package is delivered to his house and the delivery guy says "I have a package for Dr. Death", and Giles says it's Dr. Day-ith

Like everybody else has said, it's probably a surname. I'm surprised, too, that there's no first name or dates. Or it could be somebody with a really weird sense of humor!!
