***Jinnys Apartment***

"Oh god" was the first thing Jinny thought when she woke up that morning. She felt absolutely horrible, and it didn't make any sense. She didn't drink last night... well, not after 9pm... and she was almost sober before she went to bed. Getting out of bed, she barely got to the bathroom before an overwhelming nuasea hit her.

***30 minutes later***

Jinny walked out of the bathroom, hair wet. She still felt sick, but she knew that if she called off work they would all think she had a hangover. Gathering her clothes for the day, Jinny wondered why she was sick. 'I didn't even eat anything weird last night either..maybe it's just a virus.' When she was finished getting dressed, Jinny walked out the door hoping she'd feel better soon.

***The Division***
Magda sat at her desk looking at a casefile the Captain had just gave her. Looking up, she saw Jinny come in and knew immediately something was wrong.

M: Jin, you okay?

J: No.

M: Why'd you come in? You look horrible....

J: Thanks Mag... real nice of you.

'Great' Jinny thought.. she probably still thinks i drank too much last night. Jinny took off her coat and hung it over her chair, then sat down.

M: Long night last night?

Jinny glared at Magda.

J: No. In fact, I went to bed at 10:30. And NO.. before you ask I wasn't drunk.

Magda was taken aback. When Jinny had some in she had just assumed she had been drinking and had a hangover. Now she was worried. Getting up from her desk she walked over and sat on Jinny's.

M: Hey.. I didn't mean it that way I just...

Magda was interupted by Jinny doubling over and screaming. Clutching her stomach, Jinny could barely stand the pain, and she couldn't do anything but whimper.

M: OMG... Jinny! Are you ok?!

Jinny shook her head.

M: I'm taking you to the hospital.

J: Mag, I'm fine, really!

Jin gasps for air and grabs her stomach.

M: Jinny, come on now! Come on!

They get into Magda's car and drive to the hospital. Jinny see's a doctor while Mag reads a magazine in the waiting room. Magda has a worried look on her face, she's almost in tears every time she remembers Jin. She sees Jin grabing her stomach in tears about to pass out. 'I hope she's ok. Please God, let her be ok.'= Magda thinks. She starts praying silently.

-In the Doctor's office-

D: Jinny, how long have you been feeling this way?

J: Well, about 2 weeks, but it never was this bad.

D: You never told anyone??

J: Sorry! If I missed work again they would all think I was hung-over.

D: Well, it hasn't been that long since you got this, so there are posible alternatives... Jin, you...

-In the Waiting Room-

After Jin agreeing she would tell Magda, She leaves the Doctor's "office" crying. Magda senses that Jin may not want to talk about it, but she's her best friend! She has to find out! Maybe she could help! (Mag is thinking this)

M: Jin, you ok?

J: Yeah, I'm fine. (she tries to smile, but the smile is croked (sp?) and she starts sobbing softly.)

M: What to get some lunch or something?

J: No, can you take me home, I want to tell you there.

Magda gets really worried. But she drives Jin home. They walk into her apartment, which as usual is messy.

M: Jin, please tell me. I'm here for you, whatever it is you have...

J: Magda, I think you need to sit down,... I ... I...

Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter... it doesn't change anything... Yeah, that's what I thought!

Magda looked at Jinny, concerned.

M: Jinny.. what is it?

J: I... I'm... pregnant.

The words hit Magda like a slap across the face. Jinny was pregnant. She remembered when she had found out about Benjamin... how she felt, and she imediately knew what Jinny was going through. Moving closer to Jinny, she gathered her in her arms and hugged her.

M: Jin... it'll be alright...

J: Alright?! I.. I don't even know who the father is! What am I supposed to do...

Jinny got up and started pacing around her living room. She couldn't sit still, this was all still a shock to her. There were only two possibilites for who the father was. Teddy and... whatshisname. 'Oh god, I don't even know his name!' she thought.

M: Jinny... relax, ok? It's not the end of the world... and well.. I mean... isn't Teddy the father?

J: I.. don't know. (Jinny pauses) Mag.. PLEASE don't tell anyone about this, ok?

M: Of course.

Magda looked at Jinny sympathetically. She knew that Jinny led a lifestyle that wasn't exactly healthy... but she had always thought she was safe. Getting up from the sofa, she crossed over to where Jinny was standing and rubbed her back.

M: It'll be okay...

Jinny whirls around and looks at Magda, upset.

Both of them walk out of the Division doors. Magda keeps looking at Jinny, knowing that she shouldn't be going into the hostage situation when she's pregnant. 'But God forbid I voice my opinion' she thought, as they headed out towards the car.

***hostage situation***
Jinny and Magda were outside the bar where a man was holding 4 people hostage. Magda was on her cell phone talking to the criminal on the phone.

Mag: Sir, you need to let your hostages go. We can arrange transportation and everything for you, if you would just....

Man: SHUT UP!!! i'm not listening to anybody!!!! ::hangs up the phone::

Mag: damn...

Jinny: What happened?

Mag: He hung up. I guess I'll have to go in.

Magda walks toward the door with her gun in hand and her body armor on. Jinny follows her.

Jin: I'm coming too.

Mag: Oh no you're not! Not with you..

Jin: (cutting her off) Mag! I'm not a child, okay?!

Mag: But, Jin...

Jin: No. I'm going in. Let's go.

Knowing that it was useless to argue, Magda followed Jinny to the entrance of the bar. When they got there, they could see inside, and she couldn't believe their luck. The guy didn't have any of the hostages near him. Nodding to Jinny, she burst in the door.

Mag: SFPD! Freeze!

Magda ran over to the man, who was taken by surprise and started to cuff him, reading him his rights. Jinny moved quickly, getting the man's gun away from him. As she was standing in front of him, however, he jerked away from Magda and kicked Jinny in the stomach.

Jinny felt like the wind had been knocked out of her. She hadn't been prepared for any kind of attack. Then the pain came.. it was like a bolt of lightning in her stomach. Doubling over, Jinny grimaced and screamed.

Hi peeps! Sorry about that last post! Here's some more:

"Omg! my stomach!" Jinny yelled as she fell to the floor in pain. As soon as the cops took the guy, Magda rushed over to Jinny.
"Jin, are u ok? I'm taking u to a hospital! NOW!"
"No, I'm fine, really..." Jin wailed, but before she could even finish her sentence, she screamed out a horrifiying yell. A yell that would wake you up in the night. A yell so powerful, that everyone in the room fell a cold shiver go up their spine. Magda tried to pick Jinny up, but she was so heavy, she felt like a sack full of rotten potatoes. (LOL) She motioned for help and a strong, husky guy came and assisted Magda.

-At the Hospital-

Magda, the Captain, CD, John Sr., Casey, John Jr, and Angela waited anxiously in the waiting room. Every second seemed like minutes, and ever minute seemed like hours. Captain sat thinking to herself: How am I gonna replace Exstead? She was one of my best cops. Angela flipped through a magazine so fast that it soon became annoying. CD got a look of annoyance on her face. “Will you stop that!?” she yelled. “Sorry. I can’t help it. I’m really nervous. I mean what if she’s not ok?....” “Stop that,ok! Don’t raise false hopes,” CD snaped. “Sorry!” she replied. Her imeditate family just tried to figure out what to do. What if they lost another family member? They couldn’t, they just couldn’t...Meanwhile, Magda silently prayed in the corner of the room. She wanted to go to the sanctuary they had there, but it was so far away, and what if they had news and she wasn’t there? Magda holding her beaded cross necklace in her hands, was kneeling in the floor. She had moved the Holy Bible they had over to a table, so it was infront of her. She squeazed the Cross so hard, it might shatter into millions of itty bitty pieces if she had not finished her prayer then. Magda had not just made the sign of the Catholic cross, and risen, then the doctor came into the room....
“You guys with Exstead?” the older doctor asked. His hair was starting to bald, and he look so tired and fragile as if he would too shatter as Magda’s cross almost did. “Yes,” the whole group answered.” The doctor got a serious concern on his face... “Well, I....” Then Teddy ran into the waiting room, huffing and puffing, out of breath. “Wait!” he cried. He rushed up to Magda. “I got your page. Is everything alright?”
The doctor got very serious all of a sudden. “No, she’s not. Are you aware that she was pregnate?”
“Yes,” Teddy answered. “ We got the tests back yesterday. I’m going to be a dad!” A joyous smile overtook his whole face. He was so happy to know that this child was his. Teddy looked at the doctor, but the doctor would not return his expression no matter what he tried to do. Teddy’s face fell, just like when a Lego tower a kid spent working on all day to show his parents, that he was so proud of, was knocked down by his older brother. And piece by piece, just like the tower, Theodore’s smile fell, until a dull, nothingness look replaced his smile. Millions of questions raced through his mind in what seemed like days to him, which was really 2 minutes to the whole world around him. What if the baby’s not ok? What if the baby isn’t really mine after all? What if......... John Sr. keep thinking of the child hood memeories of Jinny. He couldn’t lose his baby girl....
“I’m afraid I have some tragic news reguarding your child Mr. B (i forgot how to spell his last name),” the doctor calmly said. “It seems when Jinny went into that hostage situation, and she was kicked, she miscarried. I’m very sorry.” All of a sudden the room grew dark and there was nothingness. Just empty space, like what he felt inside him. His child, his own flesh and blood, dead? It couldn’t be. No it couldn’t, it just couldn’t happen. Then everything came rushing back to him like a big gust of wind. “Wh, what about Jinny? She’s ok, right?”
“You may want to sit down... we, um... we’re not 100% sure yet, it’s not a hard fact yet, but...” the doctor tried to explain, but he just felt so bad that he stumbled over his own words. Teddy cut him off,” What?”
“She may be HIV positive....”
The walls came crashing down.....

Everyone stood there, letting what the doctor had just said sink in. Teddy's brain started to fog over, and he stood there motionless. "What?" he managed to whisper, as if he didn't believe what he had just heard.

"She might be HIV positive" the doctor repeated and watched the faces of those around him fall.

Magda's eyes filled up with tears as her body was wracked with sobs. Sure, Jinny wasn't the most perfect person in the whole world, but she didn't deserve this. Her mind kept going back to all the times Jinny would come in late or hungover, or tell her about her night the night before. Still, Jinny was a good person. Each thought brought more tears to Magda's eyes, and she just sit there on the floor, crying.

CD and Angela looked at each other in shocked silence. When they had heard that Jinny was in the hospital, they had both made snide comments to one another about how it was probably another one of her alcohol binges... now look at what happened. A tear ran down CD's face... Jinny was strong... what happened?

Captain Kate McCafferty couldn't believe her ears. One of her best cops, whether she wanted to admit it or not, was dying. Kate didn't want to think about it, so she didn't. She did this a lot... just kind of shut everything off. Her face was solemn and expressionless.

Jinny's family was a wreck, especially Casey. He was losing his sister already? This couldn't be happening. And John Sr. thought his daughter would outlive them all. Regaining his voice, John Sr. spoke up. "Can... can I see her?" he asked, his voice cracking.
