Ok, this has nothing to do with any of my other fanfics....just so you know. Ok, hope you like it.

Jinny sat at her desk while her eyes wandered. She tapped her pen back and forth on her desk, while her partner just stared at her in interest. Jinny's eyes kept wandering until she noticed a shadow creep up to her. She slowly stopped tapping the pen, and turned around.
"I was just thinking...." Jinny tried to make up and excuse, but Cap, who was the mean looking shadow, just looked sternly at her.
"Listen, Exstead, you can either stay here and work, or go home and "think"! Which is it!" Cap yelled, as Jinny blew air up to her bangs, and made sway.
"Alright, Alright, I'll stay and work. But we need some "work" to do!" Jinny answered with a smirk on her face. Cap just gave her a quick look, and then turned to face everyone.
"Ok, I have cases. CD, Angela, you get to ride the desk today.." Cap started, smirking at the two Inspectors.
"Great!" Angela's sarcasium was starting to show, and CD liked it. However, all she could do was moan at the assinment. Cap cleared her throat and continued.
"Exstead, Ramirez, some officers spotted that kid buying beer again. They followed him and now you get to go pick him up...." Jinny and Mag smiled at each other in excitment.

A 17 year old kid ran from the corner store, to a homeless shelter with a 6 pack of beer. When he got into the building, he went straight to a 15 year old girl. The girl had brown hair, blue eyes, and ratty clothes. Her light blue baggy jeans had rips and stains, and her plain black t-shirt was also ripped and stained. The girl smiled at the sight of the older boy, and slowly walked over to him.
"Here you go..." The boy smiled, and pulled the 6 pack back out from under his ratty, long, brown, rain coat. All he had on besides the rain coat was a pair of jeans, a little too small for him.
"Thanks, Brad" The girl smiled back at him, and took the beer. The two of them slowly walked into another room, and closed the door. The room was completely empty except for the two of them. They walked into the middle of the room, and sat down. Brad took a beer, and then so didnt the girl....

Jinny and Mag slowly walked into the shelter. They looked around only to see homeless people everywhere. They were on the floors, on the balcones, and even on each other. Jin and Mag couldn't believe what a mess the place was. It was dark, and smoky from all the fires, it was cold and scary from all the people, and it was just plain wrong.
"People shouldnt live like this" Mag sadly looked around, as all the people stared at the two women.
"This makes my life look good!" Jinny answered, trying to lightin things up. The two women continued walking through the shelter, looking for the boy. They noticed a parcily well dressed man, standing by a pole. "He looks guilty" Jinny joked, as the two walked over to the man.
"What can I do for you two lovely ladies?" The man asked, with a little additude while he studied them up and down. Jinny just rolled her eyes, as Mag approached the man.
"Have you seen a kid, about 17, with a pack of beer?" Mag asked sternly. The man smirked a little and held out his hand.
"For 10 bucks I have..." Jinny and Mag looked at each other. Finally Mag pulled out her wallet, and handed the guy a 10. "There...he's in there with a girl" The man smiled, and looked down at his money.
"Now that wasn't so hard, was it" Jinny stared at the man and raised her eyebrow.
"Nope!" The man answered, still smiling as he walked away. Jinny and Mag pulled out their guns and walked over to the door.
"Well, lets get'em" ........

The two cops kicked the door down and barrged in. Brad and the girl quickly stood up...a little stunded.
"This can't be good..." The girl took one big gulp of the beer, crushed the can, and threw it on the ground.
"You know, littering is illeagle in this state, and doing it while two cops have guns pointed at you is not the smartest thing you'll ever do..." Jinny looked sternly at the girl, hoping to scare her. But for some reason, it didn't work.
"You are cops?" The girl started to laugh, which was new to Jinny and Mag.
"You think thats funny?" Jinny asked madly. The girl just cleared her throat and stopped laughing, but didnt stop smiling. "You wont think it's too funny in jail, I bet"
"Your probably right, but the thing is I'm not going to jail!" The girl picked up a beer and quickly threw it at Jinny. And then before Jinny and Mag knew it, she was out the door. Mag started to go after her, but was stopped by the mad voice of her partner.
"You take him in, I'll get that little brat!" Jinny bolted out the door, whipping her coat the best she could while she was running. The girl ran out into the street, which was exstremly crowded. Jinny followed her to the street, but took one look at all the people and paused. "Damit!" She yelled, putting her gun back in it's holster. Mag walked out with Brad in hand cuffs, and put him in the car. Jinny slowly wipped more of the beer off her jacket, and headed for the car.
"We'll get her, dont worry!" Mag assured her friend. But Jinny wasn't worried about that. There was something about her...but Jinny couldn't put her finger on it...

Ok, i gotta go pack for camp, but i'll write more tonite!

About whether police officers would break down a door over illegal possession of alcohol, I don't really know or anything, but they probably do that just to scare the people or take them by surprise so they don't have enough time to get out a weapon or run or defend themselves, but then again, I'm no expert.

Mag and Jinny got into the car, and started to drive away. But just as they started to leave, Jinny saw the girl running down and alley. Without even thinking, she stopped the car, and ran out after the girl. The girl didin't realize it until it was too late and she was up against the wall while Jinny was holding her gun out at her.
"Hey, hey, there is no need to get violent!" The girl put her hands up half way.
"Ya, well you through beer on my jacket! As much as I may like to DRINK beer, I DO NOT ON ANY OCCATION LIKE TO WEAR IT! ESPCIALLY ON MY LEATHER!" Jinny yelled, backing up a little. Of course the girl thought this was the best time to escape, and started to turn to climb up the wall. Without even thinking, Jinny shot her gun at the girl and hit her in the arm. For some reason, Jinny felt she was allowed to do that...even though she wasnt. But it didn't matter, the girl turned back around to face Jinny, and looked at her right arm. About 2 inches abover her elbow, she saw the hole where she had been shot, and sat blood dripping down her arm. But, she didn't seem bothered by it. She looked back up at Jinny and smirked.
"Alright, we're goin to the hospital, then the station!" Jinny pulled out her handcuffs and put them on the girl gently. Jinny didn't seem to notice that the girl wasn't in pain...she was just consintrated on getting her to the station....

Jinny had insited in the car that Mag take Brad to the station, and that she let her take the girl, to the hospital. Finally Mag agreed and dropped them off. Jinny took the girl, still in handcuffs, to the front desk.
"Excuse me, I'm Inspector Exstead she has been shot!" Jinny shoved the girls arm in the nurses face, who jumped back a little.
"Um, ok...sign these forms while we take your daughter to get some stiches!" Jinny opened her mouth and was about to correct the nurse, but figured it wasn't nessacary at the time, and started to fill out the forms. About 5 minutes later, the nurse came back out and walked over to Jinny. "Excuse me, Inspector, but your daughter is refusing to have any novicane! She keeps saying she doesnt need it!" Jinny got up and looked at the nurse.
"First of all, she's not my daughter, and second of all...." Jinny paused for a second. "Well, there is no second of all, just show me where the room is." the nurse nodded and showed Jinny to the room.
"Thank god!" The girl sighed as she saw Jinny. "Now cop lady, tell them not to give me novicane!"
"Why don't you want it?" Jinny questioned a little confused. She wasn't sure if the girl was acting tough, or really was tough! Hell, she didn't even know the girls name.
"About a year ago, I got into this fight with this bad dude...unexpectingly, he pulled out a knife, and stabed me little below the right shoulder..." The girl took her left hand, and showed Jinny and the doctor the spot she was talking about. "Ever since then, I've had no feeling in my right arm. Thats why the bullet didn't hurt." Jinny and the doctor looked at each other a little confused. They didn't seem to believe her. "I dont need it! Watch..." She yelled, as she stuck one of her fingers in the wound and moved it around. Both Jinny and the doctor closed their eyes at the sight.
"Well...." the doctor said, looking at Jinny, as the girl wipped her bloddly finger on her pants. Jinny nodded at the doctor, meaning to just forget the novicane and go right to the stiches. But Jinny decided while he was stiching her up, it was the best time to find out more about her.
"So, who are you?" Jinny asked, as the girl sat on the table, not paying any attention to the doctor stiching her.
"People call me Ex..." She answered, knowing what Jinny was gonna ask next.
"X? as in the letter X?" Ex laughed at the question as she shook her head.
"No, X as in E-X" Jinny raised her eyebrow and thought for a minute.
"Ok, so whats your real name?" Ex laughed again, and again she shook her head.
"I dont have a real name. I dont have a real family. I dont have a real anything" she answered, her laugh fading to a frown.
"What?" Jinny was now more confused then ever.
"I was put up for adoption when I was 3. Since I wasn't a baby, no one wanted me and I traveled from Fostor home to fostor home. They all gave me different names...and they were all bad. But for some reason I always like the name EX....so finally when I was 11, I ran away, and kept the name Ex! I've been on the street ever since" Ex looked at Jinny, awaiting a response. But Jinny just looked down at the floor in shock and said nothing. So Ex decided to continue. "Well, I'm 15 now, and let me tell ya, life on the street sucks! I mean SUCKS! I'm lucky if I get 2 meals a day...thats why I went to the shelter. And thats where I met Brad. He told me everything he had done in the past, and how you and your partner have been after him for a while." Jinny finally looked up at Ex...and Ex stared at Jinny.
"He killed at store clerk just to get a 6-pack of beer. He's also done many armed robbery's, and just plain robbery's, all for beer." Jinny watched as Ex nodded to everything she was saying.
"So, whats your name? I didn't catch it last time cuz I was too busy trying to loosen these...I cant feel my hands" Ex moved her arms quickly to show Jinny the handcuffs that were too tight.
"Hey!" The doctor looked down at Ex, who was completely cluless on what she had done. "You can't move like that, or things like THIS happen!" The doctor pointed to the needle with the stich, but it wasn't near her wound. Because she had moved, it was now through the middle of her arm.
"Thats not right!" Ex yelled, looking at her arm. "Fix it!"
"Fine, but you cant move!" The doctor yelled back, as he continued working on her arm. Jinny held back her laughter, but let out a smile.
"So..." Ex was still waiting for Jinny's name.
"Exstead, Inspector Exstead" Jinny answered, as Ex looked at her funny.
"Is that X as in the letter X..S-T-E-A-D" Ex mocked the Inspector, who luckily found it amusing.
"No, X as in E-X...S-T-E-A-D" Jinny laughed, and Ex did too....it was the first time Ex had laughed happily in a long time, a real long time, and she was glad it was with THAT Inspector....

After the doctor was done stiching Ex, Jinny took her too the station. Since Mag had that car, they had to take a cab, but Jinny didn't mind.
"So, this is where ya work?" Ex smiled, as Jinny walked her in. Even though Jinny knew she didn't need them, she kept the handcuffs on Ex. Mag looked at Jinny, surprised that she was smiling. She had been so mad at the girl before, but now she seemed to be fond of her.
"So, what you get out of him?" Jinny asked Mag, about Brad. They had wanted him on MANY armed robbery cases (that's why they kicked the door in), and wanted him to confess.
"He confessed everything. From the armed robbery's to even a few regualr robbery's that didn't make it to the record." Mag answered, with a wide grin. Both Inspectors were relieved...but still didn't know what to do with Ex.
"Ok, you caught Brad, so what the hell am I in for?" Ex questioned, not meanly, but a little aggrevated. As much as she enjoyed Jinny's company, she didn't want to get to attached, knowing she would proably never see her again.
"Well lets see there's resisting arrest, under age drinking, umm...and I'm sure I'll come up with more.." Jinny sounded serious, and started to worry Ex, until a smile came across Jinny's face. "But I'm sure nothing that wont let you be out of here in an hour!" Ex sighed with relief, as Mag just watched in interest. Jinny wasn't one who like kids, espscially when they got stuff on her leather jacket! But Jinny was laughing and joking with this girl, and Mag started to see a whole new side of her.
"So, who are you?" Mag finally asked the girl. Jinny didn't realize she had forgotton to intorduce Mag, so she decided to do it now.
"Oh, Mag, this is Ex, and Ex, this is my partner, Mag" Jinny smiled, and waited for the two to shake handes. When they didn't, Jinny was a little confused, but then Ex reminded her why.
"See, I'd love to shake your hand and everything, but I'm little cuffed at the moment." Ex showed Mag her hands, and smiled.
"Oh, ya... I supposed I HAVE too uncuff you..." Jinny complained sarcastically. She joked about it, but inside she didn't want to let her go...she was worried about her, and didn't know why. But Jinny took out her keys and uncuffed her anyway. Ex moved her wrists around, and then shook Mag's hand.
"Well, do I sit somewhere, do I get locked up? What?" Ex waited for insturctions because surprisingly she had never been arrested before. She should have been many times, but never was.
"Just go sit over there....thats my desk. I have to go talk to Cap'n." Ex shrugged her shoulders and walked over to Jinny's desk, while Jinny and her partner went into Caps office.
"Whats up?" Cap asked, looking up and removing her glasses. Jinny shut the door, and the two walked over to the Captains desk.
"Resisting Arrest and Underage drinking. She's the one that I told you about...the one that was with Brad." Mag informed Cap, who just stood up.
"Who is she?" Captain looked at Jinny, figuring since she was with her, she would know.
"She's homeless. She was givin up for adoption when she was 2. Since no one adopted her, she went from foster home to foster home. About 4 years ago, she ran away and has been livin on the streets ever since. She calls her self Ex. Ex as in E-X." Jinny explained, while Mag looked at Jinny in shock and Cap looked at her confused.
"I'll check into it. Let her go." Cap sat back down and put her glasses on.
"Well Captain, isnt there anything we can do? We cant just let her go back out on the streets again!" Mag was concerned for the girl, being a mother in all.
"We could put her back in foster care, but I dont think it will last. There are lots of homeless kids out there that we cant do anything about. I dont think she's any different." Cap put her head down and continuted working on what ever she was working on before. Mag just looked at Jinny disappoined, but Jinny knew the Cap was right. The two Inspectors left the Cap's office and walked over to Ex.
"We'll your free to go..." Jinny told Ex, who wasnt exactly over joyed, but was happy.
"Ok..." Ex slowly got up and headed for the door. "See ya guys around...." Ex's smile faded as she walked out of the division. But for some reason Jinny didn't. She had a weird feeling that she wasnt gone for ever, or even for a long time!

Ok, so that sucked but I'll try to make it better!

Sorry I havent posted lately, but I'm stuck reading this stupid book for school! I only have like 15 minutes now, so I'll write as much as I can!

Jinny slowly walked over to her desk, and noticed her wallet was on it. It took her until she actually went throught the wallet to realize what happened. But once she did realize, she just laughed.
"That little brat!" Jinny joked. Mag just looked at her, and awaited an explination. "She stole 15 bucks from me...." Mag smiled and shook her head in confustion. Jinny usually gets mad over things like this...but now she was laughing. This was really starting to scare Mag. She didn't know what was up with her friend, and didn't even think her friend knew. Jinny continued to look over her desk, and noticed a note that was placed next to her wallet. She picked it up and slowly read it.

Dear Jinny (i'm guessing thats your name becaze thats what it sayz on yor name thing),
Neway, thankz for the cash...i hope yor not mad at me, but i needed som for food. i no that my spelling isnt gode, but i hope yu undrstnd it. thankz!

Jinny laughed at the letter...but felt bad at the same time. This poor girl needed to steel money for food, and couldnt spell to save herlife. Jinny desided she needed to find Ex a good home....but didn't know where. At that thought, however, her eyes kept wandering over to Mag.....

Ok, i'm sorry thats not much, but if i want to go to the movies tonight, i have to finish my book....and i'm not even half done! Write more later!

Ok, I could have sweared I posted this part already, but I guess I didn't....

Mag was so concintrated on her work, that it took her a while to notice Jinny's staring.
"Ok, whats up Jin?" Mag turned her chair so it was facing her partner. Jinny smirked, giving Mag a bad feeling about what Jinny was gonna say.
"Well I was thinking...." Jinny was interupted by Mag rolling her eyes, but just ignored her and kept going. "You got a kid, right...so why dont you take Ex in?" Mag got up and shook her head. Jinny knew that meant bad news.
"Jinny, what do we really know about Ex? I mean, she could be a...a...murderer, or a robber, or she could even be the richest girl in all of Cali" Jinny shook her head in shock at what her partner was saying. She knew Ex wasn't all those things..well maybe a robber, but only to get food. She just didn't know how to explain how she knew. "I can't risk it, not with Ben." Mag was always thinking of her son, and although Jin respected it, she never really understood it. "But why dont you take her in. You two seem to get along great!" Mag's great idea wasn't so great to Jinny.
"Are you kidding....I can't even take care of myself, never mind a kid, or teenager, or person even. Both you and I know that it wouldnt last very long." Mag looked away, not wanting to admit that her partner was right. But just as she turned around to compliment her partner, a cop came in...dragging Ex behind him in handcuffs.
"Hey, Exstead, this girl says she knows you...she was doin some graffiti on a wall a few blocks away." The cop shoved Ex to the floor, as she landed on her knees.
"Hey, take it easy..." Mag walked over to the cop, as Jinny headed straight for Ex.
"You alright?" Jinny helped the girl on her feet, but had a look of dissapointment on her face. "You know that's twice in one day....one hour even."
"I wasn't doin nothin! I swear! I saw them walking across the street when I came out of the station...so I went and caught up with them. All of a sudden, THEY pull out spray pant, and I get arrested!" Ex had this familar look on her face, at least to Jinny. But she couldn't figure out where she knew it from.
"Thats what they all say....Your guilty by assosiation anyway" The cop for some reason didn't like Ex. Ex quickly ran over to the guy, and looked up at him into his face.
"You know what, buddy, I've heard of "guilty by assosiation" but if that we're so....where are the people I'm supposed to be assosiated with? Hmmm?" The cop was speechless, and Jinny was inpressed. Jinny knew that this girl would make a great cop......

Ok, that sucked but i have an excuse this time....I'm half asleep. I'll add more later....

Ok, I wrote A LOT last nite, and my father shut off the computer....so i have to do it all over again. And it will also help me to forget what has happened today! There was no reason for it, and we'll get who did it back!

The cop uncuffed Ex and left. Once Ex was sure he was gone, he walked over to Jinny, and leaned over to whisper something to her.
"He's dirty, you know...." Jinny looked up at Ex surprised that she would say something like that. But even though she didn't believe her...she still had to ask...
"How do you know?" Ex looked up at Jinny and laughed a little.
"Everybody knows..everyone on the streets anyway." Jinny shook her head. "You have no proof..." Ex sat up on Jinny's desk, as she sat down.
"I have all the proof in the world...everyone gives him money to arrest people they dont like, or have him not arrest them. And he does it! Obviously someone wanted me off the street....so told him to arrest me.!" Jinny just waved her hand in the air and decided not to deal with it. As she gazed at her desk....she noticed a picture of her Dad, John, Her and Casey....then it hit her!
"I have an idea! I have a brother....he lives alone and i'm sure if i asked him he would take you in!" Jinny turned to Ex and waited for and answer. Ex just wanted to yell and jump and show Jinny how much she was greatful...but she couldnt. Not until she was sure this brother of hers would say yes.
"Thats great! But why would you do that for me?" Ex didn't know Jinny, and Jinny didn't know Ex...yet they were doing so much for each other.
"Hey, I do want I want...don't question! There's just one thing you should know about my brother, Casey....he's Gay." Ex didn't seem bothered by this, and Jinny was curious to know why. "That doesnt bother you?" Ex just shook her head.
"I've leanred you shouldnt be bothered by that....that you cant be bothered by that. But it used to. I remember this one kid...i met him in the last fostor home I was in and we ran away together. Me and him became best friends, and were always with each other. One day, however, we were walking and he told me that he was....well gay. Of course I didn't take it so well. I called him a ***ot and a queer and i even told him to march in a parade. Little did I know that he had been making friends with lots of the local gangs. Thats why I got stabbed and can't feel my right arm." Jinny was shocked. She knew that Casey would be glad to accept her into his home, and if he wouldn't, she would find someone!
"Exstead! Come here....now!" Capt yelled just as Jinny was about to say something to Ex. Jinny nodded and walked in, shutting the door behind her. Cap walked and leaned on the front of her desk. "You wouldnt have happened to have any children in the past, would you?" Jinny started to laugh, but Cap kept serious.
"No! Why would you ask something like that?" Cap walked around to the other side of her desk and handed Jinny some papers.
"I told you I'd check into Ex, and I did. Apparently the person, MOTHER, or father, had the last name of Exstead. I checked around and you are the only woman in San Fransisco with the last name of Exstead that isn't Old, Sick, or 6. Are you sure you haven't had a kid?" Jinny's smile faded as she started to get agrivated with the Cap's question.
"Yes I'm sure! I think that's something I would remember. Besides, you said women or MAN!" Cap shook her head.
"I looked up the men too. Same thing, except for your brothers." Jinny laughed. "Well I dont think its Casey, for obvious reason's, and John...well about 15 years ago he did have a girl, but she died when she was two." Cap looked at Jinny.
"Ya, are you sure? Because Ex was givin up for adoption when she was two.." Jinny was getting even more mad and didn't want to take it anymore.
"Well I'm sorry for that coincedence, but she's not his, or Casey's, and Definitly not mine!" Jinny just stormed out and looked at Ex. Ex did have familiar eyes. But.....nah, she couldn't be related to her.

Hey, it's me! Yep I changed my sn yet again...but anyway i'll write a little more and you can tell me if you like it, if you dont, i wont keep goin, if you do, i will!

When Jinny came out of Cap's office, she noticed Ex over at Mag's desk. The two of them seemed to be having a good conversation, so Jinny decided not to interupt and went to her desk. She immeditly picked up the phone and called Casey.
"Officer Exstead" Casey answered his cell phone, and Jinny smiled.
"Hey Case, it's Jinny" Casey smiled too when he heard the familar voice. The two of them were so close, and he was glad.
"Listen, I got a favor to ask you...." Jinny's favor's were never extrem and Casey was always glad to do them for her. However, he had a weird feeling about this one. "Well, there is this girl I meet, and she's kinda homeless." Casey's weird feeling was getting weirder...and Jinny was getting nervous that he would say no. "I told her that I had this wonderful brother..." Jinny and Casey both started to laugh at Jinny's joke.
"Alright, Alright...." Casey knew what Jinny was gonna ask, and saved her the trouble. "I'll be over later to pick her up!" Jinny smiled, the two said good-bye, and then Jinny turned around to tell Ex, but she wasn't there........

I'm REALLY bored so i guess i'll add some more....

"Uh, Mag?" Jinny slowly turned and started to walk over to her friend.
"Ya, Jin?" Mag looked up from her desk.
"Where's Ex?" Jinny didn't know if she should be worried or scared or anything. Keeping track of a kid was just as hard as she thought.
"Bathroom...she seemed a little sad, Jin. You might want to go see whats wrong." Jinny immeditly headed for the bathroom. Ex was looking in the mirror while tears streamed down her face. AS soon as she noticed Jinny, though, she wipped her face, and stopped crying.
"Are you ok?" Jinny went over to Ex, who just walked farther away.
"Ya, I'm fine!" Ex sat on the bench, facing the lockers, as Jinny went over and sat next to her.
"People dont cry when there fine...I know that for a fact..." Ex felt like she could talk to Jinny, but didn't want to. "C'mon, as all the local bartenders will tell you, I'm a sympathetic ear..." Ex laughed at Jinny and decided to tell her.
"It's just that....why am I hear?" Ex looked at Jinny, who was a little confused.
"What do you mean? You're hear because your going to live with my brother! He said that it would be fine!" That made Ex feel a little better, but that's not what she was talking about.
"No, I mean not with a family! No mother, no father, no sisters, no brothers, NO family." Tears started to slowly make there way down Ex's face again, as Jinny moved a little closer to her.
"Hey, Hey, thats not your fault...." Jinny tried to comfort Ex, but it obviously wasn't working.
"I was at the orphanige for so long! People would look at me, walk past me, and then go to another little kid. Some of them would come over to me, and I would think 'Wow, they actually want me!'...of course, they would see an even smaller kid, and run right to them...." Jinny listen as she realized just how hard Ex's life was. "I guess they finally gave up on me because when i was 6, they sent me to a foster home." Jinny tried not to get teary eye'd herself listening to Ex. "All my life I felt unwanted and uneeded and worthless. It's the worst feeling in the world." Finally Ex just broke down and cried, hard. Jinny moved next to her and hugged her for comfort. She was going to be this girls family.
"I don't know how that feels, but I do know something like that..." Ex lifted her head, wanting to hear about Jinny's feeling....

Sorry i was gone for the weekend, but i OBVIOUSLY missed a lot on TD board. Anyway, here's some more of my fanfic, i hope you like it, cuz i dont!

Jinny didn't want to have to tell Ex her past, but she had no choice.
"When I was 14, I found my mother dead in the bathroom....with half of her head missing." Jinny shook her head at the memory, as Ex put her head down.
"At least you knew your mother..." Ex sat up straight and then stood up. She slowly walked over to the mirrior. Jinny stood up and followed her. Ex just brushed her hand over her face and continued looking in the mirrior. "I wonder who's face I have? Who's eye's I have? Who's nose I have? See I will never know these things, but you do!" Jinny put her hands on Ex's shoulders. She was right, but she didn't want her to know that.
"Hey, hey, I'm sure your parents had good reasons to give you up for adoption?" Jinny new that her encourage meant wasn't working when Ex walked away from her.
"But why so late? I mean I was 2! Nobody wants a 2 year old, they just want the young ones!" Ex sat back down on the bench and stared at the lockers. "How could they do that too me? God I wish I knew!" Jinny just looked down on Ex. She was gonna find out, if it cost her everything!

i g2g, i think this is really starting to suck! I'm kinda leading it to no where...i'll try and end it soon!

Ok, i've changed my mind about my fanfic! There is one of my other ones that this is related too....it's called Mini-Jinny! Thats only so Jinny's lil sister can be in it! And that was also Katies idea, just so you all know....but truthfully i think Katie, ur the only one reading it lol, anyway here's more!

Just then Jinny's cell phone rang.
"Exstead" She answered, after standing and whiping her face.
"Uh Jinny, Jessy just got suspended and I'm on my way to pick her up" a familiar voice was on the other line. "So when I'm done, I'll just run by the station and pick up...what's her name?" Casey sounded a little nervous about staying with Ex, but Jinny knew that he would be fine.
"Her name is Ex, and what the hell did you say happened to Jessy?" Jinny wasn't happy at all. She was really scared that her sister was going to turn out like her.
"She got into a fight and got suspended" Jinny sighed with relief. Jinny got suspended a lot in highschool, but for VERY different reasons.
"Fine, but tell her she's in Trouble!" Jinny hung up angry, but not because of that. She was just stressed, and hopefully would get over it before Jessy got home.

Ok, i PROMISE I'll write more later, but this is what i have so far!

After about a minute, Mag walked in.
"Hey, I'm sorry if I'm interupting something, but Cap's gettin mad. She wants you at your desk, now!" Jinny nodded angerily, took one last look at Ex, and then left. Mag slowly sat next to Ex, as Ex whiped her tears.
"Are you ok? Did Jinny say something, because sometimes she can be a little...too straight forward" Ex laughed, and shook her head.
"No, it's not Jinny. She's actually making it better. I was just...." Ex paused for a second. She remembered Mag talking about her son while Jinny was with Cap. "Uh, Mag...did you ever think about giving Ben up...for Adoption i mean" Mag put her head down and nodded.
"Yes, actually. I did. It was unexpected, and once I told Ben's father he was gone. So I almost did. But then Jinny convinced me not too." Ex looked at Mag a little surprised.
"Jinny did? She doesnt seem like she would." Mag smiled and shook her head.
"I know!" Ex smiled. She was starting to feel better....like she had people in her life that she cared about, and that cared about her.....

Jinny was sitting at her desk waiting for Mag and Ex to come out of the bathroom when Casey came. And following close behind him was Jessy, with a crutch. Jessy neglected to look at Jinny fot obvious reasons.
"Hey Jin" Casey walked over to his sister as she noticed him and smiled. But her smile soon faded after seeing Jessy.
"What the hell happened?" Jinny yelled as she got up and walked past Casey to Jessy.
"I got into a fight...." Jessy slowly limped closer to her older brother.
"I know that, now why!" Jinny snapped, as Casey jumped back a little and almost stepped on Jessy's hurt foot.
"Watch it!" Casey just gave Jessy a look, and Jinny tapped her foot in agrivation. "Alright, alright! This girl asked me if I knew a Jinny Exstead, and I told her sadly" Jessy limped back a little knowing she shouldn't have told Jinny that "sadly" part. Jinny just folded her arms and waited for the rest. "Then she told me that you had a one night stand with her Uncle, and her Cousin, and her mothers Ex-boyfriend." Jinny looked around in embarrasment for a second, but then looked back at Jessy.
"Go on..." Jessy looked at Casey for a signal of advie, but he just shurgged her shoulders. She figured telling Jinny the truth was the best thing, considering she was a cop.
"She started calling you a slut and a whore and crap like that, so I punched her" Jessy shrugged her shoulders like it was nothing, but knew it really was.
"What happened to your foot?" Jinny stared at Jessy in anger.
"Uh..well she kinda didn't know how to fight and stomped on my toe. Now dont get me wrong, I can usually handle it, but this girl is not normal size, oh no! She's like a female version of a sumo-wrestler....plus a fat suit!" Jinny shook he head, trying not to smile.
"I dont know what I'm gonna do with you!" Jinny threw her hands in the air, while Jessy moved a little closer.
"C'mon Jinny, go easy on me. Havent you ever been suspended?" Jinny was silent for a while.
"Yes, actually a few times! But never, EVER for fighting" Jessy didn't want to know why JINNY would be suspended. She just put her head down. After a few seconds Jinny realized Casey was nervous and then she remembered about Ex. "Oh crap! I'm sorry for keeping you waiting Casey! I'll go get Ex, shes in the bathroom" Jinny quickly ran to the bathroom as Jessy looked suspisiously at Casey.
"Umm, no offence Case, but don't you date guys?" Jessy didn't know about Ex, and Casey didn't tell her...on purpose. But still he laughed at Jessy's comment.
"Yes, Jessy, I do. Ex is a homless girl that I told Jinny I would take care of. She actually about your age" Jessy just raised her eyebrow and shook her head.
"Ok, but why you and not John? Or dad?" Casey again laughed. His little sister reminded him so much of his older one.
"Because Dad doesn't know the meaning of sober, and John...well i'm not sure why me and not him, but I'm guessing it's because unlike him, I have a heart" Jessy was now the one laughing. He was right! After a few days DAD would get drunk and poor Ex wouldn't know what to do. And John would probably just ignore her......

ok, my toe is KILLING ME! So i'll write more next chance i get!

Jinny came back into the division, followed by Mag and Ex. Mag waved at Casey and Jessy as she sat down, while Ex just stood next to Jinny.
"Casey this is Ex, Ex this is my brother Casey" Casey smiled at the sight of Ex. She was very familar looking, but just like Jinny he had no idea why. Casey put his hand out, and Ex shook it as she nodded.
"Whats up!" Ex was glad that Casey was cute, even though he was Gay. As she shook his hand, she felt relieved. She could tell that he was gonna be the sweetest person she'd ever meet.
"Well, Jin, I'm gonna take Ex back to my place now...cuz I have to work a night shift" Casey smiled at his sister who nodded.
"Alright, I'll come by tonight, ok Ex?" Casey, Jinny, and Mag all looked at Ex. She was all smiles...she finally had a home. Well, just a place to stay for a while, but that was good enough for her.

As Casey and Ex were walking down the hall of the station, John and Ex bumped into each other. They turned around and their eyes met. A weird chill went down Ex's spine as John just look at her funny. Casey just watched the two in confusion.
"John? What are you doing here?" Casey wanted to break the silence.
"Jinny called me, why are you here?" Casey was uneasy talking to his brother, but decided it was best.
"I came to get Ex" Casey pointed to Ex as she tried not to look John in the eye's. "She needed a place to stay, so she's staying with me." Ex nodded. There was something about John. She didn't know what it was, or if it was good or bad, but it was DEFINITLY something.

John just nodded and kept on walking.
"Who was that..." Ex looked at her guardian in shock.
"That was my brother, John. He's not exactly happy with the thought that I'm....well Gay. Jinny did tell you, right.." Casey was a little nervous. He wasn't sure if Ex knew, or how she would handle it. Ex smiled and nodded and Casey sighed with relief.
"Don't worry about it, Jinny told me and I dont mind at all..." Casey smiled. He liked Ex and they were gonna make a great team.

John walked into the Division to see Jinny looking madly down at Jessy.
"I'm sorry, alright! It's not my fault your a...." Before Jessy could finish, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see her oldest brother looking down on her. Jessy quickly slapped her forehead with her hand, knowing John wasn't gonna be happy...but thats not what he was there for and wasn't about to get involved.
"You called?" Jinny nodded and motioned for John to come over to her desk. The two walked over, followed by the hobbiling Jessy.
"Excuse me? Was I talking to you..." Jinny was mad at her sister, but thats not why she didn't want Jessy over there. Jessy just gave Jinny a look, and then made her way to Mag's desk. Jinny looked up at her brother...he was in NO way prepared for what Jinny was about to talk about.
"Uh, John, you dont have any kids, right..." John shook his head and looked at Jinny confused.
"No. Why do you care?" Jinny picked up a file and threw it at John. John caught it, but didn't open it. "What the hell is this"
"Ya, do you remember about 13 years ago...." John looked at his sister like she was crazy.
"Ya, what about it.." John tossed the file back on the desk as he waited for his sister to answer. Jinny just picked up the folder and shoved it at John again. "Hey!"
"Listen! Do you remember your daughter, the one that died" John looked around, trying to avoide Jinny's evil stare. "Ya, well what did she die from, exactly" John finally looked at his sister.
"You are such a bitch" Jinny threw her hands in the air. John knew what she was getting too, and Jinny knew that.
"Well thanks John, that really clears things up" Jinny's sarcastic tone always got the best of people. She wasn't always proud of that, but sometimes it was just nessissary. "Now answer the God Damn guestion." John threw the folder back on Jinny's desk. He gave Jinny one last glance and then stormed out. He didn't have to take that from Jinny. He was the oldest, so as he saw it he made the rules. But as he left Jinny just smiled. She knew that what she wanted to know was true...and she would get John to admit it!

Casey and Ex were pretty quiet in the car. Casey didn't know what to say to Ex and Ex wasn't sure how to talk to Casey.
"Uh..so how old are you?" Casey was trying to make conversation...Ex looked at Casey, and the straight at the road again.
"Just turned 15.." Ex wasn't exactly sure about the date of her b-day...but didn't really care. She new it was sometime during that month..and that was good enough.
"Thats cool..." Casey liked Ex...she was like the daughter he could never have. Ex liked Casey too. She felt like she could talk to him about anything...but decided to wait until she learned a little more about him.

"Thats cool. What about your...." Ex remembered about Jinny telling her about finding there mother so decided not to ask about her and move on to their father. "Father..What about your father?" Casey smiled and shook his head again.

That night, Jinny showed up at Casey's Apartment at around 8 so he could go work his shift. After Casey left...someone unexpected showed up.
"Who the hell could that be?" Jinny got up, after hearing a knock at the door. Ex just shrugged her shoulders as she watched Jinny. "John?! What the hell are you doing here!" Jinny was so shocked she was almost speechless! John...her brother...actually going to Casey's apartment by himself....voluntarily!
"Me? What about you? Why the hell are you here?" John was a little embarressed, but that didn't stop him from being as mean as usual. But Jinny had to try hard not to smile. She was glad her older brother was expecting Casey.
"I'm here with Ex!" Jinny finally answered as John made his way in the apartment. Ex stood up and moved back a little. She got that feeling again, and couldn't tell what it was.
"Well I'm here to see my brother, but unfortionitly (sp) I found you!" Jinny was gonna tell John off, but remembered Ex was there and stopped herself. However, Ex wasnt gonna let Jinny be talked to like that after all she had done for her.
"Hey, back off, this is my apartment!" John stared at her in surprise that she had the guts to say something like that to him! But Jinny didn't seem surprised at all. She was the only one who seemed to know what was going on. Out of no where, John raised his hand to hit EX! But, as if she was expecting it, she kicked him where it hurts! Then he bent down in pain, she punched him square in the face. John was really pissed! He went at her, but Jinny held him back. Ex ran towards the windown, and opened it. John shoved Jinny into the wall....she fell onto the table and layed there in pain. John ran to the window, but by the time he got there..Ex was gone. Again...out on the streets.....

Jinny slowly and painfully lifted up her head.
"John! What the hell were you thinking!" Jinny slowly stood up, as John walked over to her.
"She has no right to say..." Before John could finish, Jinny meanly interupted.
"She has all the right in the world to say that to you! She's your daughter!" John ignored Jinnys comment and pushed her back into the wall. She fell again onto the now crushed table. She groaned in pain as John walked over to her.
"You're a crazy bitch, you know that! You don't know what the hell you're talking about!" John just kinda nudge her in the ribs with his foot, and then left, slaming the door behind him.

Ok, i know thats like nothing, but i have to leave soon and if i write any more i wont be able to stop!

LOL well I've been listening to the same song for about an hour, so i decided to add music to my fanfic...

Crawling in my skin

Ex walked and walked around the streets of San Francisco. She couldn’t believe that she had just done what she had done to John. Ya, he was a jerk, but he was also Jinny and Casey’s brother. And Jinny and Casey were the only people that she felt cared about her.

There’s something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming, confusing
This lack of self control I fear is never ending
Controlling, I can’t seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
Without a sense of confidence, I’m convinced
there's just too much pressure to take
I’ve felt this way before
So insecure

Ex had no idea where she should go. She couldn’t go back to Casey’s house, and didn’t know where Jinny lived, so she was basically back where she started. She wanted to go back to Casey’s so bad to see if Jinny was alright, but knew that if John was still there, he would kill her.

Ex still had that chill that John gave her when he first looked at her. What was it about him that made her hate him so much? She had no idea but really wanted to know. But she continued walking along the streets, until she reached a store that was closed. She paused and looked at her reflection in the window, wondering how long she was going to survive on the streets

Ex started walking again, when she noticed she was in front of the station. Jinny obviously wasn’t going to be there… she was probably still lying in pain on the table that John had thrown her on. Ex sat on the curb, and looked at it. How the hell did she end up poor and on the streets? Why was this happening to her?

After about 10 minutes, Ex decided to go in. Luckily, she bumped into Mag on her way in.
“Hey, Ex. What are you doing here?” Mag smiled, as Ex turned around and started walking out with Mag.
“Well, John came over to Casey’s house and started with Jinny so I kinda kicked him where it hurts. Of course after that I ran like crazy! So, here I am…” Mag was shocked.
“Oh my God, are you ok? Where’s Jinny?” Mag was extremely worried. She knew John, sadly, and he was a very violent person. Ex just looked down at the ground while she was walking.
“That’s the thing! He went after me, and Jinny stopped him, so she flung her against the wall. I want to know if she’s ok, but I can’t go back there!” Mag started walking faster to her car.
“Here, get in! Where going to help Jin!”

Ok, that was really stupid, but I’m like blocked so I’ll try and make it better!
