The day after the intervention;Jinny was at home sitting on the couch thinking about
Teddy."I wonder why he wasn't there" she
thought."My family and friends claim they were there because they care about me"."If
that's the case,Teddy doesn't seem to care
about me very much"."He didn't even show up!"
"Hmm.Maybe he's the ONLY one who cares".Just
then,when Jinny least expected it,she got a
call from her beloved Teddy."Hello?" she said."Hi,Jinny"."Teddy? I haven't talked to
you or seen you in god knows how long"."I know...I...I've missed you" said Teddy."I've
missed you too" said Jinny as tears streamed
down her cheeks."How are you,Jin?" "as well as could be exepected,I suppose" said Jinny
reverently"."I know about the intervention".
"I'm glad you didn't come" said Jinny."Don't
you want to know why I didn't?" inquired Teddy."yes" repied Jinny."I...was...afraid you wouldn't want me there" said Teddy hesitantly."Teddy! I didn't want anyone there"."I wish they'd all leave me the hell alone!" "Jinny,you know they're all concerned
about you and they were just trying to help".
"Anyway,Jinny...I...was afraid you'd shun me
away if I came" said Teddy in a shaky voice.
"It seems like u don't WANT me to love you
or care about you"."What do you MEAN Teddy?!"
said Jinny in frustration."You always tell me these things about your past as if you're
trying to scare me away"."None of it matters
to be,Jinny." I LOVE you! emphasized Teddy.
"I...love you too" said Jinny passively.
"You have to go to a twelve step program" said Teddy demandingly."No...I can't".said
Jinny stubbornly."Dammit,Jinny! you need help"."I want us to be together".Jinny hangs
up the phone,gets in her car,and heads over to the bar.Teddy drops to his knees and burries his face in his hands.

The next morning;Jinny woke up with a hangover (as usual) so she felt like
****.She couldn't believe what she did.
"After all the people who supposedly
care for me poured their hearts out by
telling me how my excessive drinking
affects them and I,this is what I do".
"I go out to a bar and drink until I'm
intoxicated"."I'm sick EVERY morning!"
"What the hell kind of life is this?!"
said Jinny to herself."Dammit! I even
hung up on Teddy to go to the bar because
he kept talking drinking and I couldn't resist the temptation".Just then,once
again,when Jinny least expected it,Teddy
called."Hello?" said Jinny (knowing it was
Teddy since he always seems to call when
she's thinking of him)."Jinny,get your stuff
together.I'll be over in 20 minutes to help
you pack"."Teddy,what the hell are you talking about?" said Jinny,who was confused
and disorientated"."You're going to live with me" said Teddy sincerely."Says who?"
"ME! Who else?" said Teddy impatiently".
"I don't believe this!" shouts Jinny,who was
getting frustrated."Look,Jinny...I love you too much to let you die.If you keep drinking,
that's exactly what's going to happen"."Maybe
I don't care" said Jinny without any emotion.
"Dammit,Jinny! I DO care"."You're being very
self-centered.There's so many people who care
about you and you're going to let yourself die because YOU don't care"."Have you even
considered how anyone else would feel if anything happened to you?! inquired Teddy in
an angry but concerned manner."Yes!" cried
Jinny."All the time"."If that's true,you'll
get your stuff together and come with me"
said Teddy."Jinny,If you won't go to a program,I'll dedicate myself to making sure
you get sober"."Maybe I don't know what I'm
doing but I'll sure as hell try" said Teddy.
"OK,Teddy...I'll give it a shot"."Great! I'll be over in a few" said Teddy more enthusiastic than ever".
