She reached for the doorknob, turns it , and opens the door. Once she steps foot into the bedroom in her Father's house that had belonged to her many years before. Jinny felt her body ease and made her feel more calm about what the day had in store,once she looked around her room. Yet, all the memories of her mother came floating back. She took a breath, shook her head ,and continued into the room carrying her garment bag containing her wedding dress. Once she arrives at her bed she lies it down. Jinny looks down at the bag.
"Hey Jin." a voice sprang from behind her. Jinny turns around quickly to see her partner standing in the doorway of the room. She looks at Magda for a moment and moves her bangs to the side out of her face. "Oh hey,Mag." she reply's. "Don't sound too excited now,Jinny." Magda says a bit sarcastically back as she looks around the room then proceeds in,and sets the garment bag on the bed next to Jinny's. Jinny watches Magda do so,nervously. Magda looks to the side of her at the bride-to-be and flashed her a smile knowing she was nervous, "I'm so happy for you,Jin." she adds and walks over to her and wraps her arms around Jinny. "Everything's going to be great. It's your and Teddy's day. You're getting married." she says encouragingly to Jinny as she lets go of her and looks at her. "I know." Jinny nods forcing a nervous smile at her partner. "It's going to work out,Jin. You just watch." Magda reply's patting Jinny's shoulder. "Don't jinx it,Mag." Jinny laughs alittle. Beginning to feel better now. Like she wasn't alone to worry about all that could go wrong.

Theodore walked down a long line of tables to the side of the park located across the street from Jinny's Father's House. Where they are going to hold the wedding. Mr. Blumenthal comes up from behind Theodore and puts his arm around him. "Everything is set and ready to go,Son. Now just whenever you and your bride are ready." Theodore laughs alittle at his Father, "I know. I was just double checking. Besides Dad the guests aren't even all here yet. We still have-" Theodore looks down at his watch. "Another two hours,22 minutes,and 6 seconds to go." he says looking up to his father with a smile. "So you think you're ready for this big step,Teddy?" Mr. Blumenthal asks his son. Before Theodore could answer his father started again. "You really have something special,Son." "Of course I'm ready,Dad. I've been ready since the day I proposed. Before that even. Jinny may have her flaws. As do everyone,but I don't care about any of that. We can work through whatever comes in our way." Theodore says. "I'm glad. I wish you two the most of luck. If you care so much for Jinny,I say...Go get her." Mr. Blumenthal says with a laugh.

"Hey Jinny, Captain is here!" Casey hollers up the stairs to Jinny. Kate reaches over and puts her hand on Casey's shoulder. "You can call me Kate today,Casey." she reply's politely.

Jinny: All right, fine. You want honesty? Why don't you let me tell you a little bit about my family? See, I never really never had a birthday party unless of course you wanna count my 15th, when my father showed up for cake, plastered in his underwear! Oh... yeah, by the way, my mom couldn't make it that year either because, well, sadly, six months earlier she BLEW HER BRAINS OUT!!!!!

Teddy:God, Jinny

Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.

Teddy: Stop.

Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter... it doesn't change anything... Yeah, that's what I thought!

Jinny looks over to Magda who's across the room once she hears her brother. Magda had slipped on her Violet Bridesmaid Dress,and was looking at herself in the mirror. The dress was form fitting until her hip began,then cascaded down loosly. "Okay,Send her up." Jinny shouts downstairs to her brother. "So what do you think,Jin? Magda asks when she turns around and faces Jinny in the dress. "It looks really nice,Mag." Jinny reply's. "Thanks. It's a great color." Magda smiles.
There's a knock on the open door. Jinny looks over and standing in the doorway was Captain. She motions for her to come in.. Magda glances over, "hey Cap." Kate reply's, "Hey Magda." .."Jinny." she adds aswell. "Jin,could you zip this up for me?" Magda asks turning around,moving her curly hair to the side revealing the half zipped zipper. Jinny stands up, "Sure." she reply's and walks over to Magda.

The door to John Exstead (senior)'s house had been left open. Theodore and his father walk up the front steps and across the porch to the front door. Instead of just walking in Theodore leans in slightly and knocks on the already opened door. John (senior) walks into the living room, "Hey Teddy. Come in,the door's open." he motioning them to come in. "Thanks John." Mr. Blumenthal reply's as he enters the house. All three men already dressed for the wedding in their Tuxedos. "You nervous yet?" John (senior) asks as he takes a seat in his chair. Theodore shakes his head. Putting his bottom lip out slightly when he does so, "Not a bit." he reply's as he sits down aswell. He thinks a minute then looks back at the two older men, "I don't know,uh,should I be?" he asks confused. "All I know,Son. Is when I got married to your mom my knees were shaking. I was so nervous." Mr. Blumenthal informs. "Oh God,that's nothing." John (senior) swats the air and raises his voice. "When I got married to my Wife.." he begins. "Jinny's Mom." he reply's in a slightly lower voice before he continues again as he raises it again. "I was sick as a dog two days leading up to it." Theodore listens to each man reminising. He shakes his head not knowing 'why' they were so nervous. He didn't feel that way at all. Then there was a sound of heels walking across the porch.

Angela stops as she walks across the porch,turns around,and looks back to the front steps where she had somehow lost C.D. on the way up. "Hurry Up,C.D." Angela remarks. "I'm coming!" she reply's right before she arrives at the top of the stairs,barefoot holding her high heels in her hand. "Real nice." Angela laughs as she softly pats her belly when she sees C.D. "What?" her partner asks with a smirks as she bends down and slides her heels back on.

this is awesome, cannot wait for more and dont worry, i am still reading! wwell actully since i was at camp this is the first day i read this but i wanna know what happens next cuz u are a very talented writer so please continue with this great story

Facing the mirror Jinny turns around with her long beige wedding dress on,and waits for Kate and Magda's response. "Oh Jinny,it's beautiful!" Magda stands from the bed and walks over to Jinny. "Yeah,you look real nice,Exstead." Captain nods,as she stands to the left of Jinny and Magda. "Thanks." Jinny reply's with a smile as she looks back at herself in the mirror. 'knock knock knock.' "Come in." Jinny says looking toward the closed bedroom door. The door opens and C.D. and Angela step in already dressed in their bridesmaid dresses. "Wow,Jinny in a proper dress. Never thought I'd see the day." C.D. jokes. Angela gives her partner a look,then looks back to Jinny. "You look really great." Angela says politely. "Thanks Guys." she reply's with a grin. "So uh how does that one saying go?" Jinny asks. C.D. gives a look saying she's lost. "You know the one..Something old.." Jinny begins making hand motions not knowing the rest. "Something new,something old,something borrowed,and something blue." Kate reply's as she walks over to the side of the room in sits in a chair. "Okay,let's see...." Jinny drifts off. "I have my wedding dress. That's new." she puts one finger up. "That counts right?" "Sure it does,Jin." her partner responds. Jinny nods, "Ok." she continues, "Something old." she taps her foot as she things and unconciously looks in Kate's direction. "Don't say it,Jinny." Captain reply's when she notices this. "What?" Jinny asks not realizing what her actions were a moment before. She shrugs, "Something borrowed." the Inspector continues and walks over to the bed to Sit. Her friends look amongst themselves. "I've got a pair of earrings in my car." Kate speaks up. "You mind?" Jinny asks as she looks at Captain. "No." she shakes her head. "I'll be right back." Kate says and stands. "Okay,Cap." Magda reply's and watches Captain leave. "What was the last one?" Jinny asks. "Something blue." Angela responds. "Right." Jinny reply's,rubs her forehead,and gets up.

Two Hours go by in a flash...........................

The many chairs set up under the large Canapes were beginning to fill. With Theodore and Jinny's friend's and family. Theodore took a last stroll around the park filled with tables,chairs,and a band. Among other things. Just to make sure everything was perfect for his and Jinny's wedding.

Jinny sat in a chair in front of her tall mirror. The room had now cleared she and Magda were the only ones there. The bride-to-be took a deep breathas her partner gently sat the veil on her head. She leaned down and hugged Jinny, "You're so lucky." Magda smiles and lets go. "It's really beautiful,Jinny." she adds. 'knock,knock,knock.' "Come in." Jinny reply's in the direction of the door. "Hey,Jinny Girl." a voice said as the door opened. "Hi Dad." Jinny smiled and looked at her Dad. "Jinny,you look absolutely Beautiful." John says to his daughter with a smile. She nods once, "Thanks." she reply's. ""I'll be right downstairs." Magda says and points to the door excusing herself. "Thanks Magda." John reply's as he continues further into the room as Magda walks out and clothes the door behind her. "So uh,what's up,Dad? Anything wrong?" Jinny asks as she leans down to slide on her heels. "Jesus,Jinny can't I talk to you without something being wrong?" John raises his voice and walks over to sit on the bed. "Fine,go ahead." she tosses her hands up and stands.
"Jinny,I just wanted to give you something..." John's voice sounds sincere yet trails off. Jinny looks over to her father without saying a word. "I think you're mother would have wanted you to have this.." he continues and pulls a washcloth gently from his tuxedo pocket.. His daughter takes a couple of steps toward him and reaches for the washcloth he had exstended to her. "That's the only thing I could find to wrap it in." he adds as Jinny begins to pull back the washcloth to reveal a golden chain necklace with a heart shaped beautiful pendant on it. Jinny stares hard at the necklace then back to her father. "I remember this." she whispers trying to hold back the tears. "This was mom's favorite necklace." she adds and looks down at it again. This time as much as she tried she couldn't help it. A tear excaped from her and streamed down her cheek. "I..I can't take this." she is able to say between crying. "Why can't you? It's your's now." John reply's looking directly at his daughter. "Because it's mom's....not mine." she looks at it..Just the sight made her think of her mother. She shakes her head. "No Jinny." her father began,but not being able to hold the tears back himself now. He wipes his hand over his face. "You mother...she had talked about giving this to you. Since the day you were born,Jinny. She loved you so much." John told his daughter.
Jinny couldn't stand it...She just began to weap uncontrolably looking at the necklace in her hand. John rushed over to her and wrapped his arms tightly around her. "I know." he said without Jinny having to say anything. Jinny just cried holding the necklace well grasped in her hand.

Okay..a bit of a boring,but neccassary scene.

Outside the guests had almost all taken their seats. The minister was ready. Theodore walked through the front door to the Exstead home. "Okay,Everything is set." he says confidently with a big smile as he looks around the room at Magda,John,and Casey. "Um uh, is Jinny okay?" he asks Magda whom is sitting toward the side of the room. "Yeah,she's great. She's up there with her Dad." Magda reply's. "Great, just making sure everything is okay." Theodore exhales in relief. "It is right?" he asks. "She's fine,Theodore." Magda gets up. He nods.

Jinny stood in front of the mirror her father behind her. Her hair was pinned back. She pulled the veil slighly to one side. Her father unhooks the little clasps of the necklace,gently lifts it above his daughter's head,and lowers it back down. Clips it. Jinny looks at the necklace now resting around her neck. She smiles at herself in the mirror and reaches up to hold the small pendant in her hand.
John watches his daughter in the mirror and smiles. He then walk over to the window where the sun was beaming through. He raises his hand to shade his eyes from the light so he could see across the street at the canape set up for the wedding. John turned back to face his daughter. Then looked to his watch. "It's time,Jinny Girl." he smiled. She looks to her father and nods, "Let's go." she reply's.

The Canape was set. There is a long white carpet layed out in the center aisle of the many chairs. Music began to play as Theodore takes his place at the front of everyone. Two young children appear at the other end of the Carpet and begin to walk down slowly. Ben,the ring bearer,and Leslie,Theodore's brother's daughter also the flower girl walk side by side down the aisle. Leslie a pretty blonde little girl,Ben's age wore a Lavander dress holding a white basket filled with flower pendals. As she walked next to Ben whom was wearing a black tuxedo like the rest of the men she tossed pedals gently in front of them.
Following was Kate and Casey joined at the arms. Kate in a long violet dress holding a bouqet of Lavander, Pink,and white flowers. Her hair was nicely curled and bounced as she walked with Casey. Next came C.D. and John walks identical to those before them. C.D. wore the same dress as Captain,and the other bridesmaids. Her long earrings rocked as she slowly made her way down the aisle.
Behind them came Angela and Allen together. Angela's jet black hair was curled and had been pulled slightly half way back.

Each couple approaches the front. Seperates and goes their opposite ways to take their places. Then comes the Best Man and the Maid of Honor. Magda and Ross were dressed liked the pairs before them. Magda smiled as she walked slowly to the front. She saw her son standing up straight like a gentleman,and smiles. Then looked to her left at Gabriel sitting in the crowd. When they finally arrive at the front Ross takes his place next to his brother. He reaches out and pats Theodore on the back for support. Magda walks to the other side and stands next to the flower girl.

The music dies down slowly and the Wedding March begins to play. Theodore waits at the front,patiently, to catch the first glimpse of his bride. A Moment passes and Jinny and her father appear arm in arm at the end of the white Carpet.
There stood Jinny in her long dress. Her hair was pulled back with her veil resting on the top. The necklace she had gotten from her father was visible to everyone as they turned to watch her walk down the aisle as the music played. Jinny beamed as she began to make her way toward Theodore. The trail of her dress behind her. Her father, John, beside her. She held in her left arm a bouqet of small white roses. Somewhat, like those Theodore had gotten her after their first date. Theodore watched every step and movement Jinny made toward him with a smile. Until she had reached the front.

John and Jinny stops once they reached the front, unlocks arms ,and turn to face one another. John takes as step toward his daughter, leans down,and whispers ,"This is it. No second thoughts?" he asks as he hugs her gently. She shakes her head and whispers back, "No second thoughts." with a slight smile. Her father then lets go and kisses her cheek. "Then go get him, Jinny Girl." he reply's as he steps back,and takes his seat in the front row. Jinny then turns to Magda and hands her her bouqet of flowers. Jinny's partner then takes them and grins at her. Whom in return smiles back. She then turns to Theodore whom is now standing beside her patiently. Jinny takes another step closer to him and faces the minister. Theodore reaches out and exstends his left arm out and wraps it around her. Resting his arm on her lower back. The two walk the next couple steps to the Minister, together. Each of their hearts beginning to beat more rapidly.

When they arrive in front of the Minister Theodore moves his hand off of Jinny and puts it beside him. They stand there a moment before the minister begins. He then look at Theodore then towards Jinny,takes a breath and begins, "We gather here today to join this man and this woman in holy matimony if anyone can see why these two should not be joined speak now or forever hold your peace." He pauses and looks out into the many guests. He then looks to Jinny and asks, "Do you Jinny Elizabeth Exstead take Theodore Jonathan Blumenthal to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and health for better for worse for richer for poorer to love honor and cherish til death do you part?" Jinny smiles and nods, "I do." she says in a low voice. The minister nods once and looks to Theodore, "Do you Theodore Jonathan Blumenthal take Jinny Elizabeth Exstead to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and health for better for worse for richer for poorer to love honor and cherish til death do you part?" Theodore smiles, "I do." "Rings please." the Minister reply's.
Ross moves his hand down to Ben and pats his back. Ben looks up at Ross then to the pillow with the rings on it in his hands,and took a step forward. Theodore takes the ring for Jinny off the pillow,smiles,and gently slips it onto Jinny's finger. Jinny then reaches down down and takes the ring for Theodore off ,and slips it onto his finger. The two look into eachothers eyes then to the minister. He nods with a smile and reply's, "You may now kiss the bride." "My pleasure." Theodore smiles and looks down to Jinny. he steps forward to her ,puts one of his arms around her,and begins leaning down. Jinny gives a soft smile, and reaches her right hand to his cheek. The two then shares their first married kiss.
