This is my first attempt. So be gentle hehe.

The Division Station

It was quarter til 6 and almost time for all of the inspectors to leave. Each one was in their own little world.

Jinny was thinking about her engagement party that night at the club that Theodore's parents were throwing them.
She was thinking to herself the last time she was at the club had been Theodore birthday party. She only hoped that tonight went better than last time they had been there together.
She really loved Theodore and wanted this to work out for them.
Since this was the first time that Theodore's Family and her family would actually be meeting each other.
Jinny sure hoped her brother John behaved himself tonight and didn't spoil this for her.

CD was thinking I hope Jinny has found the right person and not someone like Paul was to me. She didn't want to admit she had made the mistake of staying with him so long when she should have left Paul sooner. But no one understood that what her and Paul once had was beyond words.
She wondered where it all went wrong at. She was remembering their first date. Paul had been the kind and caring person that she had fallen in love with.
Now CD was wondering what happened to that person she met back then. Damn this was so hard when she still loved him. But she knew what she was doing was the right thing. She hoped that Jinny would be happier with her choice she made.

**Theodore's Office**
The D.A.'s office was quiet today. Theodore sitting at his desk in complete silence. He leans back in his chair,and begins to think about Jinny. She had actually agreed to marry him. Not only that. Tonight was their night. The Engagement Party. He was still stunned. Everything was just happening so fast. Falling into place perfectly. Not enough time to let it sink in. "They'll be plenty of time." Theodore thought to himself as he sat in his office. He snapped back to reality and looked at his watch. "Quarter to 6" he said quietly as he began gathering his stuff into his brief case. He picked up his cell phone and began to dial a number. "Hey Jin. So uh tonights the night. I'll pick you up at 7:15."

**Angela at the Station**
"Hey Daniel." Angela says as she picks up her telephone that is to the right of her on her desk at work. "Uh-huh. Yes. We have to be there at 8:30." she stops for a moment to let her husband finish. "Yeah,It's okay Danny. I understand. See you later tonight then?" Angela asks. "Right. Okay. Yes I'll be careful." she hangs the phone up and sighs slightly.
C.D. glances up to Angela. Breaking her thought. "What was that all about?" "Oh." Angela says as she looks at C.D. "Danny,He has to stay late at the clinic. Saving lives is an important job." Angela smiles.

Sitting in her car alone in the parking lot of the San Francisco Police Department. Talking on the phone to her one and only. She grins when Theodore asks a question. "You know there is plenty of places. You could come to my place. Alittle early,and we could-" she jokes. "Uh-huh. Yeah,Excuses. Excuses." Jinny laughs. "Right, We'll see." she says as she moves her hair out of her face exposing a smirk. "Ok. Bye. I love you too." she hangs up the phone and starts her car.

**Captain's Office**
The door to Captain's office was closed. Leaving her alone in her office looking through some case folders. From inside of her purse she hear a beep begin. Kate leans over and picks her purse up from the shelf behind her. Sets it on her desk and takes out her Day Planner that is going off. She looks at it. "Oh yes. I almost forgot. Jinny and Theodore's engagement party tonight." She thought to herself. Kate looks up to the clock on her wall in front of her desk.

Magda at Station

Magda was waiting for Gabriel to pick up the phone. Magda thought what is taking him so long. She was wondering if Gabriel was still going to go with her to Jinny & Theodore's engagement party. Magda was so engrossed in thought she almost didin't hear Gabriel.
"Hello... Hello is anyone there?" Gabriel says.
Magda snaps out of her thougts. "Gabriel I was just wondering if you were going to be ready to go to the enagagement party for Jinny?"
"I am getting ready to leave to help get Ben reaady so I should be there soon"
"Thanks Gabriel, that is great. See ya when I get home." Magda replies.

Jinny's Apartment

Jinny unlocks the door and theows her bag in the chair then heads for the kitchen to get some water out of the fridge. Sh epulls the bottled water out of fridge and opens it on her way back to her room to get ready. She still hasn't made her mind up if she should wear the new dress she bought for the occassion.
Jinny had to laugh at the last time she got a dress to go to the club with Theodore's parents. Teddy had asked what the dress looked like and she had said Low cut skin tight animal print, ruffle at the bottom.

Captain Office

Kate put down the file she had been reading and decided she had better go home to change otherwise she would be late for the enagagement party. And that would just not do after all the times she had gotten on Jinny's case for being late. She couldn't have one of her Inspectors holdong that over her head. No that just wouldn't do she had to get a move on.

((Also. Yes I know In Jeanie's first post it said Theodore's parent's were throwing the party for them. And this one it says they planned it themselves. Let's just say Theodore's parents made the reservations for them once they planned it. lol.))

**Angela's House**
Angela walks up to her front door holding her bag with her papers and stuff from work in it. She reaches for the door knob,but before she does the door opens. There stands Daniel in the door way, "Hey Angie." he says and leans down and kisses her gently. "Hey Daniel." Angela says surprised. "I thought you had to stay late tonight?" she says as she walks into the house and puts her bag down beside the door. Daniel helps her take her coat off. "Well I did at first. Then the doctor that called in earlier today. Arrived at his original time. So..Here I am." He reply's hanging up Angela's coat on the hook
near the door.

**Theodore's House**
Theodore walks into his apartment. Still thinking about what Jinny had said on the telephone. He puts his breifcase down on his table in the corner of his tiny kitchen. Theodore walked to the back of his apartment where his bedroom is located. Lost in thought. Thinking about the evening that Jinny and himself had planned weeks before hand. It was like Pulling Jinny's tooth to get her to even consider another formal occasion. Involving his parents,and hers for that matter. Jinny hadn't talked to his parents since the last incident in the exact place they were going tonight.
"I wonder if Jinny's having second thoughts." Theodore asks himself. "I should be there for her." Theodore walks to his closet and opens the door. He grabs a duffle bag from the top of his closet and throws it over to his bed. He turns back to his closet and picks some clothes out for the night. Takes them off the hangers and walks over to his bed. Lyes them down,folds them,and puts them into his bag. Zips it up and walks out of the room carrying the bag.

**Magda's Apartment**
Magda sits on the couch. She takes her shoes off and sets them beside her on the ground. Ben emerges from the hall. "Hey Mom. Dad here yet?" he asks. "No,Benjamin. Does it look like your father is here yet?" she leans back on the couch. Ben shakes his head. "Come here." Magda responds patting the couch beside her. Ben smiles and jumps onto the couch and sits by his mom. "How was your day?" she asks. Ben puts out his bottom lip slightly and tilts his head. "What's that supposed to mean?" She laughs. "It was okay." Ben responds. "Just okay?" Mag asks looking directly at her son. Ben nods,"Yeah." Magda sits up alittle ,"You want to talk about it?" she says getting alittle worried. "No." he says. "Come on Ben. You know you can tell me anything. We've talked about this. If somethings bothering you. You can always tell me." she reply's. "I failed my math test." he says quickly as he stands up. Magda gives a sigh of relief. Knowing it was something so minor,and didn't involve Gabriel. "Well Benjamin, Didn't you study for that test last night. At your dads?" She asks. Ben looks from his mother to the floor. "Benjamin." she warns. "No. I forgot." he responds. There is a knock at the door. Magda exhales and gets up. Heading toward the door.

**Jinny's Apartment**
After 20 minutes of looking through clothes for the occasion she looks over to the dress hanging on the mirror where she had put it two nights before. "That'll do." she says to herself giving the dress a look. Should I go through with this? It's only a lowsy party. It's not like it's our wedding for god's sake. She thinks to herself. It's probably the only decent thing to do. So Theodore's parents,friends,and family won't be completely surprised about who my family is at the wedding. I don't want anything to interfur with the wedding. I want this to work out. After all we've been through. Good times and bad. Mostly bad. She thought.
The doorbell rings bringing her back to reality. Jinny begins to make her way through the hall toward the door. She opens it. "May I borrow some sugar?" Theodore asks managing to keep a straight face. Jinny flashes him a look and laughs. "Get in here." she says as she grabs his arm and moves him into her apartment. All the while with a smile on her face. Theodore closes the door with his free hand as he gets into the apartment. "So uh" Theodore looks around her apartment. "You miss me?" he asks. Jinny smiles,"What do you think?" she asks him. "Oh. Then I'll be going." he says as he begins to turn around. "OfCourse I did." Jinny says with a small laugh. Theodore turns back toward Jinny and reply's "Oh you did,huh?" Jinny shakes her head,"Don't push it,Theodore." she laughs. Theodore laughs looks down then to Jinny. "No. Actually,I missed you. A lot." looks at his bag. "Hope you don't mind me showering here." he says lifting his duffle bag slightly. Jinny looks at the bag and then to him. "Oh. Then maybe you should go." she reply's jokingly. "Come back later." she adds with a laugh. "No Teddy.I don't mind a bit." Jin reply's. "Thanks Jinny. How gracious of you." he reply's with a laugh as he takes a step toward Jinny. Jinny smiles,leans up,Puts her hand to his cheek,and kisses him softly. "Very Gracious." he adds softly. His eyes closed. When she takes a breath. She moves closer and kisses him more passionately this time. He moves his hands to her sides as she moves her hand that was on his cheek to the back of his neck.

CD’s Apartment

CD walked into the dark lonely apartment. But it felt good not to have to stress out about whether Paul was cheating on her. She flipped on the light switch and headed for the bedroom. She was really not up to this party tonight but Jinny was a friend. CD opened her closet and started rummaging through trying to find something nice to wear.
She had been looking for something nice to wear when she came across something she hadn’t seen in a while. The tears stung her eyes briefly and she chided herself for letting it get to her. CD removed the bag that contained her wedding dress that she wore when her and Paul had gotten married. Her mind raced back to the happy day.

Flashback
June 10, 1991
The day had been perfect and Paul had never looked more handsome as he stood at the altar waiting for his lovely bride to walk down the aisle. The music played the Wedding March as the main church doors opened revealing CD and Dick who gave her away since she had no father figure or anyone else that she trusted enough to do that. Paul had thought he was seeing things. CD had never looked more beautiful on that day. CD and Dick slowly began the walk down the aisle.

The phone that had been ringing off the hook had brought CD back to reality. CD decided she had better answer it. “Hello” CD said as she picked up the phone.
“CD it is Kate I was wondering if you wanted a lift to Jinny’s engagement party?”
“I don’t know if I want to stay that long at the party” was CD’s reply. Kate thought for a minute that this must be hard for CD Jinny is starting a new life and CD is ending her old one with Paul. Kate said “That is what I was counting on and of we ride together we can both get out of there at a early hour… So what do you say?”. CD thought for a moment I guess Kate has a point. CD finally said “Okay.. Are you driving or am I?”


Jinny's Apartment

The kiss had intensified in a matter of seconds. Jinny's hands went for Theodore's tie as Teddy went for the tie on her robe. Theodore slowly started moving towards the hallway never breaking the kiss. Jinny's hands went for the buttons on Theodore's shirt. Theodore finally gets the robe undone and slowly slides it down Jinny's shoulder only to reveal her slip she had on. Jinny had removed Theodore' sshirt at the same time.

Angela's house

"Angie where is my jacket for this suit, I can't find it?"
"Daniel I thought you were going to wear the other suit so I took that one to the cleaners this morning. Sorry honey."
"Well I guess I will just have to find something else to wear, It is okay Ang."

Madga's Apartment

Magda opens the door to see Gabriel standing there all dressed up. Her mind flashbacked to their first date when Gabriel had come to her parents house and picked her up for their first date. Mag had thought he was very good looking then but now he had a age of wisdom about him that Mag seemed to like.

**Captain's House**
Kate exstends her arm out with the tv controler in her hand and changes the channel on the television. As she lyes on her bed. She looks through the channels. From the living room she hears the front door close. "Hey Mom. You here?" Amanda calls from in the living room. "Yeah in here Sweetie." Kate reply's to her daughter as she switches off the tv,puts the remote on her night stand,and gets up. "Hey." Amanda says walking into the room and leans against the door frame. "Hey Honey." Kate says with a smile as she looks at her daughter. "Don't you have somewhere you had to be tonight?" her daughter asks. "Yeah." Kate stands and looks at her watch. "In a matter of fact. I'm going to Jinny's Engagement Party Tonight." she says walking to her closet. "Oh. You have any idea what time you'll be home?" Amanda asks sitting down on her mom's bed looking in her direction. Kate turns around from inside her closet and looks at her daughter, "Early." she says with a slight laugh as she turns back around and grabs an outfit from her closet,and walks back over to the bed and lyes it down. "Why,Amanda? You need to talk?" She asks looking to Amanda then turning around,opening up her top dresser drawer and grabbing a pair of dark nylons. "Yeah I need a good mother daughter talk. I need your opinion on something." she says to her mom as she fiddles with the sleave of her shirt. "Ooh?" Kate says as she sits on her bed next to Amanda and begins putting on her nylons.

**Jinny's Apartment**
Both begin to make their way down the hall. Kissing intensely. Once into the hall. In front of the window. Jinny reaches out and pulls the thin white curtain across the window. Then moves her hand to where it's resting on Theodore's cheek. Jinny's other hand moves from Theodore's cheek to his bare chest. Both still kissing. Jinny moves to her left and reaches down to the door knob on the bathroom door. Theodore doesn't question Jinny's action,but steps forward and moves his hands to her waist and rests them softly on her hips. They take another step into the bathroom. Their bodies close to one another. Once they're fulling into the bathroom the door closes...The shower is turned on.

**Magda's Apartment**
Magda stood in the doorway in front of Gabriel thinking for several moments. "May I come in?" Gabriel asks with a smile looking down at Magda. Still not a word from Magda. Finally,Ben comes from behind her and taps her on the shoulder,"What?" she looks at Gabriel then to Ben,"What?" she asks again looking back toward Gabriel. "May I come in?" he asks again. "Oh yeah,Sure." she reply's as she moves out of the way and opens the door more. "Thanks." Gabriel says. "Hey Dad." Ben says as his Dad walks in. Magda watching Ben and Gabriel together for a moment. She saw how much Ben was starting to love Gabriel,depend on him. She didn't want Gabriel to do what he had done to her 8 years before happen to Benjamin aswell. Magda then closes the door slowly and looks at Ben,"You better get ready,Bubby." she looks at her watch. "We have to get to Jinny's party pretty soon. "Okay Mom." Ben says looking at his mom. "Come on,Dad. Help me pick out something." he says Grabbing Gabriel's hand and leading him down the hall. Before Gabriel disappears around the corner he flashs Magda a smile. She smiles back and then looks down at the ground and sighs. Then begins to walk toward her bedroom to get ready.

CD's Apartment

CD was still staring at the garment bag that contained her wedding dress. She finally snapped out of it and realized that she would never be ready by the time the Captain arrived at this rate. CD turned to go back into her closet and started searching again for something to wear. She pulled out a dark black pair of slacks to wear now to find a blouse that went with it. She wondered why she was putting so much effort into getting ready this was the last place she wanted to go tonight. She would gave preferred to stay home and have a nice quite meal and after curl up on th ecouch with a movie that would put her to sleep so she wouldn't have to think about all that has happened in her life. But CD being Jinny's friend kept looking for the right thing to wear.

After 10 monutes she had finally found the blouse she would wear with the slacks. The pale blues shirt went well with the slacks and the last thing was her long black sweater to finish the outfit. She layed everything she had chosen on the bed next to the garmet bag that she stil had not put up.

CD turned on the shower herself had gotten married.

Flashback

CD and Paul had exchanged vows and they were at the reception this time. They shared their first dance as a married couple to the song Some Enchanted Evening by Frank Sinatra. CD could almost feel the touchand adjusted the water contols. Tonight her body needed a hot shower to release all the tension form the day. CD stepped into the shower and backed up it was a little hotter than she had thought. As CD as in the shower with the water cascading doen her body her thoughts once again returned to the day Paul and of Paul's hand on her back. All of a sudden CD jerked the cold water snapped CD back to reality

Angela's house

Daniel had finished dressing and was waitin Angela to finish as well. He wondered what took women so long to get ready in the first place. Amgela entered the room. She saw Daniel and remember the first time she knew she was in love with him. He looked handsome then but he looked even more dashing now. "Daniel do I look okay or should I change?"
"You look beautiful Angela, you don't need to change.

Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.

Teddy: Stop.

Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter.

**Magda's Apartment**
Magda walks from the bathroom drying her hair,where she had taken a quick shower moments before. To get ready for Jinny's Engagement part. "Ben, The showers free." she says as she walks down the hall into the living room. Magda walks to the couch and sits down. She leans down to grab her shoes from beside the couch when Gabriel walks from the hall with a grin on his face. "You know. Ben is something else." he says pointing behind him down the hall. "Yes,Gabriel,I know. I've known that for eight years." she reply's back. Gabriel looks down then back at Magda,"Okay you've got me there." he says. Magda nods,"Yeah I do." she reply's as she puts her shoes on. "Is Ben getting ready?" she asks. "Yeah,He's getting in the shower right now." he reply's. " I turned it on for him." Gabriel adds with a smile as he sits next to Magda. Magda looks over to Gabreil,"Well that is very nice of you,but Ben knows how to turn it on himself." she reply's. "I know that. I'm trying to make up for old times." he reply's. "Gabriel,The last thing Ben needs is you trying to make up for old times by babying him. He may like it,but I don't want my son to be deprendent on other people for the rest of his life." she says as she stands. "Magda,He's not going to be deprendent on other people the rest of his life. He's eight years old." he says. "I know. Believe me,Gabriel,he gets enough babying for his age. He's a perfectly healthy spoiled eight year old." she says.


**Jinny's Apartment**
Theodore in Jinny's room calls to her, "Hey Jin,You know where my duffle bag is?" he asks. "Umm." she says quietly to herself as she looks behind her out of the kitchen to the table. She then remembers that he had left it in the living room. Before she could say anything or finish getting some water to go get it. Theodore comes down the hall in only a towel wrapped around his waist. As he arrives in the living room Jinny walks out of the kitchen with her robe on holding a glass of water. She smirks at Theodore when she sees him. He had already found his duffle bag and had it in his hand. "You found it." She says with a smile. "I was just coming in here to get it for you." she adds. "Well,I found more than the duffle bag." he says with a small laugh. "Oh,you did?" Jinny asks. Theodore walks over to her and puts his hand on her shoulder. "I found you didn't I?" he says with a smile.

**Jinny's Dad's House**
There is a knock at the door. "I'll get it." Casey looks across the room to his father sitting in his chair with a nice suite on. Exactly what Jinny had asked him to wear. "Ok,Casey." his dad reply's with a cough afterward. Casey gives a last look at his dad and shakes his head. He then walks to the front door and opens it. Standing before him is his brother,John. Dressed,surprisingly nicely. "Hey." he says moving out of the way so John can come in. "Hey Shrimp." John says jokingly as he walks past his younger brother. Casey gives him a look,but ignores the comment and closes the door. "So what time are we supposed to be at this party of Jin's?" John asks as soon as he sees his dad. His father looks at his watch then back to John,"We probably should be leaving so we won't be late." he reply's. "I'll drive." Casey says from the side of the room.

**Mr. & Mrs. Blumenthal's House**
Mrs. and Mr. Blumenthal standing in their bedroom talking,getting ready. "I'm not saying that." Theodore's mother says as she stands in front of her mirror. Putting on her necklace. "Here let me help." Mr. Blumenthal says as he comes behind his wife and clips her necklace for her. "Jinny's a nice young lady. As long as Theodore is in Love with her. I say. Fine. "You know me. I'm not the kind to judge on first impressions." Mr. Blumenthal says. "She seemed to be a nice woman. Just had a bit too much to drink." Mrs. Blumenthal says as she looks at her husband in the mirror.

**Captain's House**
"Mom,I can wait to talk when you get home. It's nothing real big. I just have a couple questions about a few things that are going on at school." Amanda says to her Mom as she is standing beside her mother in the bathroom. Where Kate is brushing her teeth. "Oh school questions." Kate says with toothpaste in her mouth when she stops brushing. She spits into the sink and washes it down. She rinces her mouth out and asks, "Any quick questions before I have to leave? I have to pick up C.D. on the way to the party. Which is clear across town." "No mom. Don't worry. They all can wait." Amanda says as she walks from Kate's bathroom back to her bed and lies down. "Okay. You sure?" Kate asks one more time as she slips her shoes on.

**The Club/Restaruant Where the Engagement Part is Being Held**
Jinny and Theodore walk up to the enterance. Early,as they were asked to be by Theodore's Mother. Theodore arrives at the door before Jinny and holds it open for her and makes a gesture for her to walk in. "Thank You." she says quietly,alittle nervous as she walks in slowly and looks around slightly. From across the club Mrs. Blumenthal see's them arrive,and makes her way toward them.

hehe Took me A lot time to Write that Out. Since I'm babysitting and writing this in between when the baby isn't crying or is hungry. So sorry if it isn't one of my best posts. I'll try to have some better scenes next time. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

Daniel’s & Angela’s car

“Daniel, are you sure that this dress looks okay? We can always run home and change real quick.” Angela asks “What is wrong Angela, I told you look beautiful and the dress looks good on you but you don’t seem to take my word for it.” Daniel says. “I guess I am just self conscious that I maybe starting to show and some people don’t know yet that’s all.” Angela replied. “Honey you will look beautiful even when you are 9 months pregnant. Pregnant women have this certain glow about them that makes them all look beautiful in their pregnancy. Just remember a child is god’s gift to us and being pregnant is nothing to be ashamed of or worried about what other people think we look like. It is a blessing to be able to carry a child created by love. We should consider ourselves very fortunate some people can’t have kids when they really want them. So I consider us one of the lucky ones. Ang you will always be beautiful to me don’t you know that by now.” Was Daniel’s reply. Angela had tears in her eyes from Daniel’s statement. She was very grateful to be one of the lucky ones to have it all. A loving and caring husband that loves her no matter what. Angela leaned over a placed a gentle kiss on Daniel’s cheek. “I am so very lucky to have you in my life, you know exactly what to say when I need to hear it. Thanks Daniel.”

“How long is this party going to last?” John Sr asks. Casey replies “I am not sure. But Jinny needs our support right now so how ever long she needs us we should be there.” “We will be there as long as Jinny girls needs us right boys.” John Sr tells his sons. “Of course” both Casey * John reply. “I wonder what the Blumenthal’s are like and what their expectations of Jin’s family is.” John asks. “I don’t care what their expectations are of us as long as Theodore makes Jinny girl happy is all I care about.” states Jr Sr.

Captain’s car

“So CD are you okay with this party? I mean you and Paul haven’t been apart that long and I just wanted to make sure that you are okay.” Kate asks. “I am doing fine. I just brings back some memories that I am not ready to deal with yet.” Was CD’s reply. “Like what CD, I mean I will listen if you need to talk about it. But I am not pushing you to if you are not ready.” Kate says. “It is not that I am not grateful that you are willing to listen to me bear my soul, but I am just not ready to do that yet, you know. But thanks for the offer and I will keep that in mind.” Cd says. Cd changes the subject “So I am glad that Jinny has found someone to share her life with and I think Theodore is so good for Jinny. She deserves some happiness in her life for a change and I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more than Jinny does.” Kate replies “I agree CD Jinny deserves to be happy. And don’t tell her I told you this but I am impressed that she is trying to make things work out in her life. But you tell Jinny I said that I will deny it understood.” CD says “You know Jinny thinks you ride her ass all the time. But I think you care about Jinny deep down and won’t admit it. Am I right?” Kate didn’t reply to CD’s question.

Gabriel’s car

“So Mom are we going to be staying until the party is over with?” Ben asks Magda. “Yes Ben I think for this special occasion you can stay up past bedtime. But don’t get used to it this is a one time only thing.” Magda tells Ben. “Jinny is important to you isn’t she Mag?” Gabriel asks. Magda replies “Jinny is my partner and my best friend. I am glad that Jinny & Theodore are together and Theodore is just what Jinny needs and Jinny is just what Theodore needs. They make each other happy and you can see that when you see them together.” Gabriel replies “Same old Magda very protective of her friends.” Magda asks “What is that suppose to mean?” “I was just stating that you always care about your friends and that is one thing that I admire about you Mag.” Gabriel states

The Club/Restaurant

Casey pulls up in front of the club and the valet comes out to the car. “I can park that for you sir.” as he gives Casey a once over. The Exstead family get out of Casey’s car and go into the Club The Maitre Dee asks “Are you here for the Blumenthal / Exstead party? John Sr. replies “Yes we are.” “Right this way gentlemen” as he leads the Exstead family in with Jinny, Theodore & the Blumenthal family. Jinny’s dad walks up to his little girl and says “Jinny girl you look beautiful honey.” Jinny says “Thanks Dad.” She looked at John & Casey and was very impressed that they had actually listened to her request to dress in suits. She was still worried that something might go wrong this evening and she hoped that her Dad and brothers behaved themselves tonight. Casey goes up to hug Jinny and says “Don’t worry so much everything will turn out okay you will see.” Jinny said “How did you know?”
Casey said “I can just tell you are worried that Dad & John won’t behave themselves. I will keep an eye on them for you Jin.” Thanks Casey." John goes up and hugs Jinny. "I am proud of you Jin" Jinny didn't know what to say. John had never said anything like that to her before. Jinny just says "Thanks" Jinny then turns around and begins introductions to Theodore and his family

After Jinny had introduced her family. Starting with her father and ending with her younger brother,Casey. She felt alittle better. Now that they had met and didn't seem too shocked by eachother. "How's it going,Teddy?" Casey says politely. Theodore nods and puts his arm around Jinny,"Really well. How about you?" Theodore asks. "Good,I'm glad my sister was so lucky to find someone to spend the rest of her life with." Casey reply's with a slight smile. "Yeah when she was a kid she used to say hell with marriage." John adds in. Jinny laughs alittle, "Yeah I did." she says nervously and shoots John a look. Then Jinny looks around from one brother to the next and asks,"Where's dad?" "Good question", Casey reply's and begins to look around from where he was standing. Theodore spots him,"There's your father,Jinny. My dad's introducing him to a few friends of his." he laughs. "He like him." he adds. "What?" Jinny asks and shakes her head squinting her eyes slightly as she asks, "How do you know?" "Because I know my father." Theodore reply's with a smile to Jinny. John looks over to the table where a tray of drinks are sitting,and walks toward them. To get himself one. "Excuse me." Casey says as he walks away from them aswell. Theodore looks down to Jinny,"Everyone is getting along fine. Don't worry." he says rubbing her back with his hand that is around her. "I'm going to be nervous until this party is over. You never know what my family is going to do." Jinny says as she looks around the room. "They're unpredictable." she adds. Theodore smiles and reply's,"Like you." he says as he takes his hand away from her back and moves more evenly in front of her. Jinny being so nervous and looking for her two brother's and father in the room doesn't realize this,but nods at Theodore's reply before she can think about what he had said. Theodore moves his hand to her chin gently,and moves her face so it's looking directly at him. "This is our night. Whatever happens isn't going to spoil anything. We won't let it." he says with a gentle smiles that eased Jinny's mind as he took his hand off her chin. She smiles back and reply's,"Okay." in a soft voice as she nods alittle. "Good." Theodore says and begins to lean down slowly to kiss her. "I'm unpredictable?" she adds before he reaches her. Theodore couldn't help,but laugh and stand back up straight after that comment. "Yeah,being Unpredictable is a nice quality to have." he reply's. "You never know what to expect." she adds with a grin. Theodore nods with a smile.

*Restaraunt/Club where the Party is At's Parkinglot**
Gabriel pulls into the drive way and looks to the two signs that are posted. "Valet Parking ->" and "Self Parking <-". "Which one Magda?" Gabriel questions as he looks to Magda in the passengers seat of his car. Magda shakes her head, "Depends,Whatever you want,Gabriel." she reply's. "What's valet parking mean?" Ben asks from the back. Behind Magda. Magda takes a breath and begins to tell Ben,"Valet parki-" but before she could Gabriel turns into the Valet Parking section and says,"This is valet parking." he reply's as a man comes to their car and opens the door for Magda. "Cool." Ben reply's.

**Restaurant/Club. Party**
Mrs. Blumenthal looks around the room for her son. Then she catches a glimpse of him across the room. Where himself and Jinny are kissing. "My." she says in a low voice to herself as she puts her hand to her upper chest. Still holding her champagne in her other hand. "Excuse me?" a nearby person asks. "No,Nothing." she says to the person.

Theodore smiles down at Jinny,"Please loosen up. This is a party,our party. We're supposed to be having fun." he says gently to her and wraps his arms around her softly and hugs her for a moment. "Okay?" he asks again as he lets go slowly. "Theodore." she says with a smile. "Jinny." he reply's with a slightly sad face he was making. "Okay. I'll try. You big baby." she laughs. Theodore cracks a smile.

Gabriel walks up to the entrance of the Club/Restaurant and opens the door for Magda and their son. Both walk in with Gabriel behind them. "Valet parking is awesome. Why don't we ever do that at Wal-Mart?" Ben asks. Magda and Gabriel looked at eachother and laughed, "Because they don't have Valet parking at Wal-Mart,bubby. Just real classy places like certain hotels and restaurants." Magda reply's to her son's question. "Among other places. Just not Wal-Marts." Gabriel added with another laugh. Ben looks from Gabriel to his mom,"That's right." Magda reply's with a nod. "Let's look for Jinny,okay?" Magda says looking down at Ben. "Sure." he nods.

**Angela & Daniel**
Pull up to the Valet Parking section and gets out of the car. "I'll take that sir." the man says to Daniel. "Thanks." Daniel reply's handing the man the keys,moving toward his wife,and wrapping her arm around her as they walk.

**Club Restaurant**
"Hey,There's Mag." Jinny says to Theodore that is now sitting next to her at a fairly large table. Decorated very nicely with candles and cloth napkins,etc. "Yeah." Theodore gets up the same time Jinny does. The couple makes their way over to Magda,Gabriel,and Ben. Side by side. Ben looks up at His Mom and Dad as he see's Jinny and Theodore approaching. "Hey,Mag." Jinny says as she reaches them. "Hey" she says looking at Gabriel then to Ben. Theodore smiles, "How has your guys' night been?" he asks. "It's been really great." Gabriel says with a Grin as he looks from Theodore to Magda to Ben,and slowly puts his arm around Magda. Jinny raises and eyebrow and looks to Magda for her reaction. Who gives a look once she feels his arm rest gently on her lower back. Theodore and Gabriel soon begin to start rambling to one another,like men do. "Excuse us." Magda says as she motions for Jinny to follow her. She follows Magda away from Theodore. Once they got a safe distance away from Gabriel,Ben,and Theodore. So they couldn't hear their conversation Magda turns around and faces Jin. "So you two are getting. More friendly I see." Jinny says before Magda could get a word out. "Or at least Gabriel thinks so." she adds. Magda nods and looks back over to her Son,his father,and Theodore,"It's Gabriel who thinks so. Who wants to get close again. Jinny,I don't think I can handle that again." she says looking directly toward Jinny. "How do you know what you want. You've only known the newGabriel for a short time. He could be a whole new person." Jinny reply's. Magda shakes her head,"You don't understand." she says. "The hell I don't." Jinny begins. "I understand what you're going through Magda,but you have to remember he ran out on you eight years ago. You said yourself you've changed since then. Hell looks to me you're a whole new person. What no one can change in eight years besides you? That's double standard,Mag." Jinny says to her partner and best friend. "I know,Jinny. I just don't have only myself to worry about now. I have Ben. He's my life. I have to look out for him. I'm his mother. I can't let him get hurt. No matter what." Magda reply's. Jinny nods,"Yes,That's a given fact,Magda. You love your son. He's a great kid. I'd hate to see him get hurt. But think about this fact. Why would Gabriel just all of a sudden appear again and want to get unvolved in Ben's life. Just to run like hell once he got to know him? Give Gabriel some credit. What I see he's turning out to be a great dad." Magda is quiet and just smiles and nods as she thinks about what Jinny just said. "Just think about it,Mag. Now let's get back to the party." she says with a smile, pats her friend on the shoulder,and makes her way back over to Theodore and the others.

Okay here is some more. Hope you all like. I have warned you I am by no means a writer. I just hope that you enjoy.

Club / Restaurant

Jinny and Magda had just gotten back from their discussion and in walks a small group of people that Jinny recognized from Theodore’s birthday party. In the small group Jinny recognizes some of them that Theodore had pointed out to her last time they were here. The group spots Theodore and makes their way toward them. In the doorway Angela And Daniel were just entering the restaurant area and spotted Jinny, Theodore, Magda, Ben and Gabriel and started making there way towards the small crowd in the center of the room. Theodore’s friends came up to Theodore and Henry said “Hi Teddy” Theodore turned to Jinny and said “You remember Henry, Alexis, & Marie from the night of my birthday right?” Jinny nodded. Theodore went on to introduce the other friends that Jinny had not met that night. “Henry’s date there is Martha, Alexis date is Mark and Marie’s date is Adam. And this here is Ellie and her husband Matthew. And this is Jim and Kelly and this is Jennifer and her finance Howard. And everyone this is my finance Jinny.” Magda noticed Jinny was uneasy around Theodore’s friends but didn’t say anything. Theodore put his arm around Jinny’s waist for moral support as he noticed Jinny’s uneasiness himself. Jinny looked at Theodore and smiled to him to reassure him that she was fine. Theodore then introduced Magda, Gabriel & Ben to his college friends. By this time Angela & Daniel had joined the small group of people that was becoming a large group by the second. Theodore started making the introductions to Angela & Daniel to his friends.

The Club Parking Lot

Kate and CD had finally managed to make it to the club and they had a few minutes to spare. Kate was making sure she was not late to Jinny’s party or she knew the next time Jinny came in late she would remind her about being late to her party and that was not going to happen. The rest of the ride to the club had been in silence between Kate and CD as each was lost in their own thoughts. Kate finally said to CD “Are you ready for this?” CD replied “As ready as I am every going to be.” Kate pulled up the valet parking and gave her keys to the nice young man that had come out to greet them. CD and Kate made their way to the entrance of the Club.

Inside the Club

Mrs. Blumenthal looked on at her son who was surrounded by his friends and Jinny and her friends. She wondered if this engagement was such a good idea after all. What did Jinny have in common with her Teddy. She knew her husband felt that if Jinny made Theodore happy that was enough for him but she was not so sure and was not going to let her guard down. Her thoughts were interrupted when Mr. Blumenthal handed his wife a glass of champagne. He stated to his wife “Theodore and Jinny look good together don’t they honey?” She replied with “Ummmm..” That was the best she was going to do until she was convinced that Jinny was good enough for her Teddy.

On the other side of the room

The Exstead’s were over at the table. John Sr. asked “When are we going to eat? I am getting hungry.” Casey said “Dad please this is Jinny’s night let just let her enjoy herself for once.” John said “Yeah I haven’t seen Jinny this happy for a long time. So whenever Teddy and her are ready to begin this party is fine with me.” Casey said “Dad why don’t you eat some of the appetizers that the waiters are passing around on the trays? That might help you until we actually eat.” “yeah I guess I can try that” was John Sr. reply. John asks “So what is on the menu for tonight anyway?” “Jinny said something like beef as the main course.” Was Casey’s reply
The entrance to the Restaurant

CD and Kate were looking around to see where every one was. CD spotted Magda n the center of the room. “They are over there in the center of the room. I guess we should go say hello to everyone.” Kate “Yea that would be a good idea. I see that Angela and Daniel are here along with Magda, Ben & Gabriel.” CD replied “Yeah Magda says that Ben is excited about being in the wedding.” “Well Ben is a great kid.” Was Kate’s reply. They made their way to the center of the room where some of the group had started to make their way to the tables and Theodore’s friends went over towards the Blumenthal’s. Kate and CD approached the ones that were left. CD says as she walks up “Hey guys I see we are all here on time.” Daniel said “Although Angela kept wanting to go back to change.” Angela shot Daniel a look that said enough. Kate looks over to Angela and asks “Why you look fine in what you are wearing?” Angela just said “Oh I guess it is the hormones acting up. I thought the dress made me look you know.” Magda says “You know Angela even though you are pregnant no one can tell yet. You look just fine.” Angela says “You really think so?” CD looked at her partner and rolled her eyes. “Yes you look fine. Is this the way this is going to be until you have that child?” Angela said “Maybe” Magda tried to avert a quarrel tonight with CD And Angela said “CD it is her only her hormones acting up right now and they will do that for a while and there will be mood swings also that Angela will have to deal with. But she will get it together in time for the child to be born.” CD replied “Great I have to tiptoe around my partner cause of hormones.” Theodore quickly changed the subject and said “I want to thank you all for coming tonight and hope that you have a great time. If you will excuse us I think we should go greet some of the other guests that have arrived.” Theodore took Jinny by the hand and lead her towards some more guests that had arrived.” As Jinny and Theodore walk off you can hear Kate say “Enough you two lets try to have a nice time tonight.”

Jinny & Theodore are walking towards the guest that have just arrived but Theodore stops before getting there and asks Jinny “You okay?” Jinny looks at Theodore in the eyes and sees all the love that he has there for her and she feels herself starting to relax. Jinny say “With you here by my side I am doing just great.” Theodore said “I told you there was nothing to worry about Jin.” “From your lips to you know.” Was Jinny’s reply to that. Theodore said “Making jokes a good sign.” Jinny playfully slaps Theodore on the arm. Theodore leans down toward sJInny for a kiss before they have to go play host and hostess some more.

Across the room

Mrs. Blumenthal notices that Theodore has not left Jinny’s side all night and that they have been very close all night long. She wonders again if this is not a mistake. Her thoughts are again interrupted as Jennifer Teddy’s ex comments to Mrs. Blumenthal “Do you think that Teddy and Jinny will last?” Mrs. Blumenthal only wished her husband was out of ear shot so she could confide in Jenny. But Mr. Blumenthal was talking to Jenny’s finance Howard. Mrs. Blumenthal replied “Well only time will tell but it seems that they make each other very happy.” Mr. Blumenthal said “If I do say so myself I have never seen Theodore look more happy ever and it is all because he has found his soulmate.” Mrs. Blumenthal and Jenny liked what Mr. Blumenthal had just said about Theodore. Howard replied “I must say that I agree with you Mr. Blumenthal. That is the exact way I fell about Jenny here. She makes me complete. And by the looks of it I would say that Jinny makes Theodore complete.” Jenny says “What makes you say that Howard you hardly know Teddy or Jinny?” Howard replied “I don’t have to know them that well when I can look into their eyes and tell that they are truly in love with each other. You know some people say that the eyes are the soul to your heart. From what I saw when we were over there talking to Teddy & Jinny I would say that those two make each other complete when they are together.” “And you saw all that by looking in their eyes Howard?” “Of course I did pookie.” Was Howard’s reply.

Jinny and Theodore

They were standing there greeting all the guest that were arriving. Theodore looked at Jinny and said “You know what sweetie, we have quite a turn out for our party. I am amazed that so many people came out to wish us well on our engagement.” “Yeah well” Jinny started but was cut off by Theodore’s father. “There you two are.” Theodore turns to his father and asks “Why dad do you need something?” Mr. Blumenthal said “I think it is time to start serving the guests.” Jinny said “That is okay by me. With food in their mouths they can’t start any arguments.” Theodore looks at Jinny and grins. Me. Blumenthal said I will see you two back at the table where the families are.” Theodore said “Be there in a minute dad.” Theodore waits until his dad is out of ear shot and said to Jinny “Jin remember no one can ruin this for us not matter what happens. No matter what argument starts or don’t start. I love you Jinny and you love me that is all that matters here. Nothing else matters Jin. We have each other and that is what is important. I think that I am the lucky one tonight Jin I get to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life.” Jinny’s eyes are starting to water up. “Theodore how do you always know what to say to me when I need to hear it the most? I love you Theodore Johnathan and nothing will ever change that. You are the best thing to come into my life and I wonder how I got so lucky to have someone like you fall in love with me. I will never take us for granted Theodore and know this I am the lucky one to have you in my life Theodore.” Theodore looks into Jinny’s eyes for a few more minutes and leans down to kiss her lightly on the lips before putting his arm around Jinny’s waist and escorting her to their table with all the family members waiting.

Yeah. She has been saying she wasn't a writer nor did she think she could write,but I convinced her to do a Fan-Fiction with me! Hell, I don't write too well either. I just write whatever comes to me.

As Jinny and Theodore get to the table. Theodore pulls a chair out for Jinny and motions for her to sit down. "Thank You." she says in a low slightly nervous voice as she look up to him and smiles. He pushes her seat in alittle and seats himself next to her. At a table that consisted of Theodore's mother and father,his brother,Jinny's father and two brothers. Jinny looked across the table to her father which looked back to her with a smile that beamed.

Mrs. Blumenthal watched Jinny as she sat there,uneasy. "She's different." she thought to herself. "So different than what Theodore usually brings home. I wonder what is so different about Jinny." she thinks as she takes a sip of her champagne

Jinny shifts alittle in her seat and looks around the table to each person. She looks to Casey. Who was sitting quietly to the end of the table. Completely behaving himself. Which wasn't anything unusual for Casey. "He is most like me." She thought. Then looks to John. He was sitting in his seat. Beginning to look annoyed with his surroundings. She then looked quickly to her father that noticed John's behavior and soon leaned over to remind him it was Jinny's night. Next was Ross,Theodore's younger brother. He looked back at Jinny and smiled slightly at her. He had Welcomed Jinny into the Blumenthal family as soon as he was told they were engaged. Jinny smiled back at him. She then looked over to the left of him at Theodore's father who was talking. "Ross and Theodore get their personality from their father. As much as I try I don't see neither are like their mother in the slightest bit." she thought as she looked next to Mr. Blumenthal to his wife. Who was sitting quietly not saying a word. Sipping her champagne every now and then. Last,Jinny looks to the side of her at Theodore,watches him speak to back to his father. Before she could take her eyes off him he stood. Jinny all of a sudden looked nervous again as she watched Theodore begin to propose a tost.

**Magda's Table.**
"Shh." Magda says putting her hand to Ben's shoulder. "Theodore's going to propose a tost." she adds to her son. Gabriel smiled and watched. Ben gave his mother a look,but then looked over to where Theodore was standing. He was completely quiet.

Theodore waited until the whole room was quiet. He then looked down at Jinny's nervous expression and smiled at her before he began his tost. "I would like to propose a tost to my fiance Jinny Exstead. For being the most caring,compassionate,strong Woman in my life." he paused. "Well besides my mother." he laughed. The guests laughed aswell,but once it was quiet again he continued. "I would just like to thank her for saying yes to having One drink with me many months ago. Because without that one drink and her giving me a chance. We wouldn't be here today,and I wouldn't be as happy as I am this very day. Thank You Jinny" Theodore smiled around to the guests then looked down at Jinny. By this time she had tears rolling down her cheeks. Her father looked to her,but didn't know what to do. Mrs. Blumenthal who had heard the whole tost was watching Jinny then waited for Theodore's reaction about what his tost had caused Jinny. "Come on Jin." he said as he put his hand out. She looked at his hand in front of her. "Come here." he said gently to her. She finally put her hand in his and stood. Once she had stood completely up Theodore moved his other hand to her face and brushed away the tears from her cheeks and put his arms around her. Gaurding her from the crowd. Who began to claps and smile. Even Mrs. Blumenthal had finally realized what Jinny and Theodore had was true.

That wasn't very good,but you know. Some posts are better than others.

How can you say that wasn't good. I really enjoyed it as I do all your fan fictions Jin. You are one of the best writers that I have had the priveledge to read their work. Keep up the good work.
On a sad note though
I don't know when I can post again cause my youngest might have fried my puter. Won't know til I get home tonight with a disk from work that will let me in. If I can't fix the problem then I do have a warranty on the puter but when they can get to it is the problem. Oh well I might just have to do it form work. I will get it posted some how. Or from friends puters.

Beside the Blumenthal / Exstead Table

When Jinny got her voice she replied to Theodore ears only “Thank you for not giving up on me when I kept turning you down all the times. I am very glad you had the foresight to go after what you wanted. You have made me so happy.” Theodore responded to Jin “What can I say I go after what I want and I do not give up. I am happy that I didn’t give up on asking you out either.”

Angela & Daniel’s Table

Daniel said to Angela “Your friend and co worker Jinny there is truly in love withy her finance as it should be.” Angela told Daniel “Well Theodore didn’t give up on asking Jinny out. See Jinny kept turning Theodore down every time he asked her out. CD thought the whole thing was interesting when Theodore told Jinny one day that he won’t give up and I told her he was cute. She told me to go out with him. Now look at them. They are planning their future together and they are made for each other.”

CD & Kate’s table

Kate noticed that CD’s mind was somewhere that was not in this room. She decided maybe it was better for CD to work this out on her own instead of her constantly asking her if she was okay. Although She was worried about her friend and co-worker she knew that CD would come to her when she was ready to.
Meanwhile CD was back in time to her engagement party. Paul had looked handsome that night and he had said and done all the right things to her. But she now knew what was missing. Paul had never really cared about her they way that Theodore cares about Jinny. CD had noticed how protective Theodore is of Jinny and she knew that is what her and Paul did not have from the very beginning. CD smiled to herself. They had some good times in fact some very good times but they lacked what she saw that Theodore and Jinny shared.

Magda’s Table

Ben was getting inpatient waiting to eat and asks “Mom when are we going to eat? I am getting hungry.” Magda looked at her young son sitting there actual behaving very well for some one his age and at a formal party like this. She would have to tell her son how proud she was of him when she tucked him in bed tonight. “Papi the waiters are already starting to serve people on that side of the room. And remember that this is a formal party and they are serving the soup and not the meal.” Was Magda’s reply to her son. Ben said “Why can’t we have it all at once?” Gabriel decides to take this one so he replied “Ben this is a club and very high society people belong to this club and they have a different way of doing things in fancy clubs like this son. They think that they should serve soup first then the salad then the meal. It is just their way of doing things in the high society places.” Ben said “I bet I know why they think that if they feed you soup and salad first then you won’t have any room left for the main meal right?” “Papi it isn’t that they serve you in courses in places like this. The soup is the first course. Then comes the second course and so forth until they have served the whole meal. It is not so you can fill you up on soup and salad first okay.”
“I guess so.” Was Ben’s reply.


Theodore’s friends table

“When are they going to get here with the food?” Jennifer asked. “Pookie they are serving the food now just have some patience. What is wrong honey?” Howard said. “Nothing is my problem. I am just hungry that is all. Is that okay with you?” “What crawled into your Cheerios Jenny and died?” Henry asked. “Nothing at all Henry. I just am hungry is that a crime? The service here is so slow.” Jennifer replied. “Jennifer they have a lot of people to serve here tonight they will get here. East some breadsticks until the soup arrives it will help.” Marie had said. “You know I have been to some places that have had some people eating the salads and meals while other were still on the soup.” stated Adam. “You know that in the New York club that is the way that it is when you have a big engagement party like this or any kind of big to do.” Mark chimed in. “Just last week Mark & I were at this wedding reception that half the room were on the soup and the other half were into the salads already.” Alexis said. “Jenny the soup will be here soon. They are just two tables from us.” Howard commented. “But why do they have to serve all of her friends first? Theodore’s parents are picking up the bill I think that it is only right that Teddy’s friends would be served first. Don’t you agree Martha?” Jenny asked. “Actually they are going in the order of the tables and that is the way that it should be.” Stated Martha.

Blumenthal / Exstead table

“Theodore have you and Jinny planned your honeymoon yet?” Ross asked Theodore. “No Ross not yet, we still have to decide what place we want to go we have a few to consider. But I am sure that where ever we decide to go it will be something else.” Theodore told his little brother. “Knowing Jinny you guys wont get to see much of where ever you two go. If you know what I mean.” Was John’s addition to this conversation. Casey kicked John under the table and John said “Ouch what did you do that for Casey?” “John I am sure they will get some time for sightseeing also.” Casey replied. Jinny looked at Theodore like are you sure you know what you are getting yourself into by marrying me. Theodore leaned over to Jinny and said “Look sweetie it is okay. They are only being themselves and I have no problem with it. Relax will you everything is going fine.” Jinny said “Yeah but you don’t know what kind of family you are getting yourself mixed up with.” Theodore kissed Jinny on the check then said “Yes I do. You told me remember but it is not your family I am in love with it is you that I am in love with and what ever comes with that is okay by me. For better or worse remember. We can get through anything together. Always remember that. Together we can conquer anything that comes up okay.” Jinny smiles at Theodore for being so understanding. “I am the lucky one in this relationship to have you fall in love with me with no strings attached. How did I get so lucky? I must have done something right to have you love me unconditionally. But for the life of me I don’t know what it was. I am just gald that I did do something right to have you in my life. I love you Teddy. Thank you.” The waiter was serving the soup at their table now and that was the last table to be served. John Sr. had already started on his soup as well as John. Casey, Ross, & Mr. & Mrs. Blumenthal were waiting on Theodore and Jinny before starting.

After Everyone had finished their Dinners. The Band began playing music for the guests to dance to

**Angela & Daniel's Table**
"Come on Angie." Daniel says as he picks the napkin from his lap and sits it on the table in front of him. Angela looks up to her husband. "Okay." she says doing the same. Once she was finished Daniel had already tood and put his hand out in front of her to take.

**The Blumenthal & Exstead Table**
"Well,I don't know about you,but I'm in a dancing mood." Mr Blumenthal says picking his napkin from his lap and brushing his hands on it before he sits it on the table and stands. "May I have this Dance,Mrs. Blumenthal?" he asks his wife politely putting out his hand. She looks at him then back at her son. "Go ahead,Mom." Theodore says lightheartedly like his father. "Okay." she says standing up and putting her napkin on the table before walking off hand in hand with Mr. Blumenthal.
Once they were away from the table Casey looks at His father and Brother. "Hey uh,Why don't we go dance?" Casey asks. John Sr. nods, "Yes let's go." he says catching on to what Casey was trying to do. "Well you guys go on. I'm not finished yet." John says still eating. John Sr. gives him a look that says 'get going'. Jinny puts up her hand about to say something,but before she does Theodore says it for her,"You know what. John can just stay here since he isn't finished." Theodore says calmly. "Thanks,Theodore. You're a good boy." Jinny's Dad reply's with a smile as she walks past Theodore and pats his shoulder. "You know,Dancing doesn't seem like such a bad idea." Theodore says turning to Jinny with a smile. "Oh no. I can't dance,Theodore." Jinny makes an excuse shaking her head. Theodore laughs alittle,"That excuse doesn't work,Jinny. I know you can dance. Very Well for that Matter." he smiles. Jinny looks down for a moment then to Theodore again who was waiting for her patiently. "Fine. One Dance." she reply's with a smile as she stands. Theodore grabs her hand and leads her out to the dance floor. He moves around in front of her and wraps his arms around her gently as they sway back and forth together to the music. Just like the time in Anchorside,besides this time Jinny was calm. She was actually enjoying the dance. Being so close to someone. Not just physically,but emotionally.

**Magda & Gabriel's Table**
Magda looks out to the dance floor that is slowly gathering with people. She spots Jinny and Theodore and smiles. Gabriel smiles and says,"Magda,would you like to dance?" Magda looks to Gabriel to Ben. "No thank you,Gabriel." "Aww Why not,Mom?" Ben asks. Magda looks at Ben,"Because I don't want you to sit here all alone." she reply's. "I'm fine!" he says quickly back. Gabriel smiles at Magda once again with a willing look on his face. "Fine,Benjamin." Magda reply's as she stands up from the table and follows Gabriel to the dance floor. Ben sat in his seat quietly watching.

Kate & CD’s table
John Sr. made his way thru the crowd to Kate McCafferty’s table. “Kate would you like to dance?” John Sr. asked. Kate thought about this for a minute and finally said “That would be nice.” John Sr. extends his hand to Kate as she slowly takes it and stands up to be escorted to the dance floor. CD watches as Captain and Jinny’ dad make their way to thet dance floor. CD sees all the people that are getting up to dance and she lets her mind wander to another time.

Flashback

CD and Paul were on the dance floor at their engagement party that Mr & Mrs. DeLorenzo had given their only son when he had announced his engagement to Candace Johnson. Paul had always been a good dancer. CD and he had danced the whole night away and into the early hours of the morning. CD smirks and thinks to herself that was a long time ago and a happier time in her life.

CD chided herself for thinking about the past like that. She had made her decisions to go forward with her life and that was without Paul in it. She knew she couldn’t handle it anymore all the cheating and all the lying that he had done in their 10 year marriage. How could CD every trust him again. She knew deep down that this marriage was over but this engagement party was bringing back a lot of memories for CD and she had to keep them in check. She was here to support Jinny and Theodore in their happiness. CD glanced out to the dance floor and saw all the happy souples out the dancing and enjoying the night. There was Magda with her son’s father Gabriel. Angela was out there with her husband, Kate was out there with Jinny’s dad and Jinny & Theodore were out there in their own little world oblivious to all around them. CD said “That settles it all my co-workers are out there having a good time and I am going to find someone to dance with and forget about all my problems with Paul.” CD scanned the room for any men that were not attached to dates. She spotted a dark haired nice looking gentleman with his back to her and proceed to get up from her table and make her way over to the gentleman.

Magda and Gabriel

“I want to thank you Mag.” Gabriel was saying as they were dancing cheek to cheek on the dance floor. “What are you thanking me for Gabriel?” Magda was wary of the answer to that question. “Just for letting me get to know my son Mag, you have done a wonderful job raising him Magda. He is a very nice polite well mannered you man. You did good Mag.” Gabriel began. “I only did what was right Gabriel. I had a lot of help from my mother also. She was there for him from the day that he was born. Unlike.” Magda stops what she was saying. “You can say it Mag, unlike me cause I was a jerk and ran.” Gabriel finished for Magda. “I didn’t mean it Gabriel I am impressed that you are there now to see your son when he needs a father in his life.” Magda told Gabriel. “You mean that Mag?” Gabriel questioned. “Yes Gabriel I do.” Magda replied.

Angela and Daniel

“Daniel I have a feeling we should be enjoying our time alone like now cause when the baby comes we won’t be able to go on the spur of the moment.” Angela was saying. “Ang are you sorry we are going to have to change our lives for the baby?” Daniel questioned. “No Daniel I was just saying that nights like this when we can go and do anything we want is soon to become a thing of the past. I am leery about having a child because of my mom and the breast cancer. But you have convinced me they can check that out sooner now that we know that breast cancer runs in my family.” Angela said to Daniel. “I am glad that you are more comfortable with the pregnancy Angela, You will see everything will be alright.” Daniel said. “How can you promise me that Daniel when no one knows the outcome.” Angela asked. “I just mean do you think that I would ever let anything happen to you or our child without doing everything in my power to stop it Ang?” Daniel replied. “No Daniel I know that you would do your best Daniel but you know my worries are valid Daniel.” Angela replied. “I know Ang, but we will get thru this together okay honey.” Daniel said. “Ok Daniel OK.”

Kate and John Sr.

“John how have you been doing since the heart attack?” Kate asked. “I am doing just fine. I go to the doctor regularly even though he don’t know what he is talking about when he tells me to quit smoking.” John Sr. replied. Kate had to laugh at that remark in a way it reminded her how stubborn his daughter was also. Jinny liked to do things her way just like her dad. Even though Kate knew Jinny would never admit it though. “That is good that you are getting a regular checkup John.” Kate replied.

Blumenthal / Exstead table

John was still enjoying his meal as Casey came back to the table to join him. “Hey John aren’t you done yet?” Casey asked. “Hey little brother the food is good and I am going to enjoy it. Can I help it if I am a growing man?” John asks. “The only thing that is going to be growing on you is your stomach if you keep eating like that John.” Casey replied. John shot his little brother a look that said enough drop it. Ross sat there listening to Jinny’s brothers squabble about nothing in particular and recalled that he and Theodore used to squabble about things like that. But now he thought Theodore has found a new best friend to confide in and I will miss that but Theodore has made a wise choice in choosing Jinny to be his confidante. Ross thought. I will have to ell Theodore that I admire his choice in a life partner.

Jinny and Theodore

They were dancing check to check on the dance floor. Jinny was thinking back to her & Theodore’s first dance they shared at the Anchorside bar. She smiled remembering how she had not wanted to dance when no one else was dancing and Theodore had not let that stop him from getting her on the floor. Although she had to admit to herself once she felt comfortable with dancing with Theodore in front of everyone she had enjoyed every minute of it. Although she would never admit to Theodore that she was glad he talked her into dancing with him that night. Theodore was thinking that he was so lucky that things were finally going right with the world. He was standing there holding his finance and dancing at their engagement party. He was stunned when Jinny had actually accepted his marriage proposal. He thought back to that morning when Jinny had called him on his cell phone and said yes to his proposal. He remembered with a slight smile how he had came up the steps two at a time to see Jinny and when he had reached the second floor and there was Jinny coming in down the hall smiling. He will remember that day for the rest of his life. Little did Jinny know this but that day she had made him the happiest man on earth. Jinny and Theodore are swaying to the music holding each other. Theodore says “Are you having fun Jinny?” “With you always.” She replied. “I am glad that you have relaxed a little bit since the party started. I haven’t told this yet but you look amazing. I fell in love with you all over again when I saw you tonight. I hope that our lives will always be this happy as we are right this minute. Holding you in my arms is the best feeling I have felt in my life. Jin.” “I absolutely feel the same way Teddy. And you are more than my finance to me Theodore you are my best friend and confidante and you are also my lover. I just hope that we will always be like this Theodore. I just hope that we never take each other for granted. It was hard learning to let someone care about me but I am glad that I did. You make me so happy Teddy.”

C.D. and John made their way to the dance floor. "You look like you are enjoying this as much as I am." John began as he takes C.D.'s hand in his,and they both began to sway to the song that was nearly over by now. "No,It's not that,really." C.D. starts.

The song slowly came to an end,and everyone parted from eachother,casually. Jinny took her arms from around Theodore and stepped back away from him. She looked from Teddy over to Gabriel and Magda whom were still swaying as if the music hand never stopped. Jinny smiled at the sight of her partner,and glanced over to the table that was only occupied by Benjamin. "Next dance?" Jinny asks Theodore in a low voice still looking toward Ben. "What,Jinny?" Theodore leans down slightly and puts his hand on Jinny's arm gently for her to repeat herself. This brought Jinny to look back at her fiance "Oh,uh since Ben is over there by himself I thought I could,you know dance with him once. Get him out of that seat." she says softly to Theodore. He nods,"That would be nice." Theodore reply's,leans down,and kisses her on the forehead. She looks up to him with a smile. Then turns to walk away.

Jinny arrives at the table Ben is sitting at,and puts her hand out in front of him. Ben looks at her then to her hand. He slaps her hand like he was giving her a high five,and laughed. "No nuh-uh" she shakes her head with a slight laugh. "Would you like to dance,Sir?" she asks with an elligant accent with a small laugh at the end. She couldn't help,but smile as she waited for his response. Again,lifting her hand in front of him. Ben quickly shook his head after Jinny had asked. "Aww,Come on,Sweet Boy." she motions for him to follow her to the dance floor. Once again he shakes his head. "Why?" she asks as she squats down beside his chair,and looks up at him. Ben looks down at Jinny and shrugs. "I don't know." he says. "Well-" Jinny begins,but for she could continue. "I can't dance." Ben adds. "Oh,well then. That doesn't change anything. I'll just help you out." she reply's. Jinny then leans in, "That that I know my right foot from the left,personally." she laughs. "So how about it?" Jin asks again. Ben shrugs. "What happened to the Ben I know? He turn shy all of a sudden?" Jinny asks jokingly. "I'm your Pal,Jinny,remember?" she adds with a laugh. Ben shrugs again. "One dance?" she try's again. "No thanks,Jinny." he responds. Jinny sighs and looks back up to him. "There is five bucks in it for you." Ben looks at Jinny,"Well okay." he begins to get up from his chair. "Yeah,thanks." she reply's and hand him a five dollar bill on the way out to the dance floor. She couldn't help but laugh.

Jinny: As for my brother, ugh... yeah, John... see, he just doesn't like you unless your American, white, and straight... and for me... a few weeks ago when uh... I had that nut case after me... yeah, I had to make a little list, of all the guys that I've slept with in the last two years. I couldn't remember some of their names.

Teddy: Stop.

Jinny: Ya know what? THIS IS WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FAMILY!!!! Come on, it's your turn. You go ahead, flash that all-American, prep school, choir boy smile and you tell me that it doesn't matter... it doesn't change anything... Yeah, that's what I thought!

Theodore watched as his finance escorted Ben out onto the dance floor. He looked at her with loving eyes watching how great she was with Ben. Theodore thought to himself that Jin would make a good mom someday when the time was right for them to have kids. The image that flashed before his eyes made him smile, he saw Jinny holding their first child. Ross leaned over to Theodore and said “Congratulations big brother you are a very lucky man to find the woman of your dreams.” Theodore was deep in thought when Ross interrupted his train of thought. Theodore looked at Ross and said “What were you saying Ross?” Ross replied “Not paying attention Teddy you have it bad.” Theodore smiled and replied, “Yes I do don’t I?” Ross stated, “I said Congratulations big brother you are a very lucky man to man to find the woman of your dreams.” “Thanks Ross I am glad you approve. She makes me complete Ross. All I know is that when I am not with Jinny I feel like there is something missing know what I mean. But when I am with Jinny she makes me so happy and complete like I can do anything as long as we are together. I feel like I have found my soulmate. Jinny is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I really hope that you find someone like Jinny to love Ross.” “I haven’t given up the search yet, Teddy.” Was Ross’s reply.

Henry and Martha
“I wonder what is up with Jennifer? She has been so rude tonight and that is not like her at a party.” Henry asked. Martha replied “Henry think about it, this party is for her ex boyfriend and his finance and Jennifer is not taking the fact the Theodore is engaged to a lovely young woman well.” Henry asked “Why can’t she just be happy for Teddy? They are not together anymore and haven’t been for a while now and she herself is engaged so why is she acting like this Martha?” Martha replied “Think about it for a minute Henry if you and I broke up and you got engaged and then I got engaged and invited you to my engagement party how would you feel?” Henry said, “I can see what you are saying dear. I just hope she doesn’t do anything stupid.” Martha said, “Let’s just enjoy the party and have fun.”

Magda and Gabriel
“So are you enjoying the party Mag?” Gabriel asked. “Yes Gabriel I am.” Magda replied. “You know Mag it has been a long time since I have held you in my arms and I forget what it felt like. I have missed this Mag.” Gabriel stated. Magda replied, “It does feel nice Gabriel. I have to admit that you are a very good dancer. I had almost forgot myself.” Magda thought to herself it feels nice to be in some ones arms again. Gabriel is really trying with Ben and even with me. I just don’t know if I can trust him yet. I know Jinny said to give him a chance I am just not sure I am ready to put my guard all the way down yet.

CD and John
CD and John had been still dancing in silence when John said “So CD what did you mean by No, Its not that really statement?” CD looks at John and wonders should she tell him her secret or just say nothing at all. She studied his face and thought he might know since he has been married a few times. She was wrestling with her self whether or not to trust her secret with John after all she didn’t know him that well but she thought if he is anything like Jinny it might not hurt. John was watching her trying to make up her mind on whether or not to tell him what was bothering her. So he let her off the hook by saying “It is okay CD, you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. I just thought maybe you wanted to talk about it.” CD replied, “It’s not that I don’t want to talk about it really, it’s just I don’t know if anyone would understand you know, this is a party for a happy occasion and what is bothering me is not exactly happy.” John replied, “Well if you want to talk fine, if not fine ain’t no skin off my nose.” CD looked at him and thought he is just as sarcastic as Jinny is.

Angela and Daniel’s table
“How are you doing Angie?” Daniel showed concern for his pregnant wife. “I am doing okay Daniel, why?” Angela replied. “I was just concerned Angie is all, I mean you have been at work all day and instead of being home with your feet up we have been out all evening and even danced. I just don’t want you to tire yourself out is all.” Daniel replied. “How sweet honey, you are worried about me over doing it. But I am fine; in fact I would like to have another dance with my husband. So when the next song starts we have a date for a dance.” Angela stated. “Anytime Angie, anytime. I enjoy having you in my arms.” Daniel replied. Angela just looked at her husband and smiled.

Jinny and Ben
Jinny said “Ben just move your right foot to the right then bring you left foot over towards your right foot like this, as she shows him then take your left foot and move it to the left and bring your right foot over towards your left foot like this.” Ben watches as Jinny demonstrates how the dance steps went and replied “Is that all I have to do Jinny?” “Sure that is all you have to do to dance to this music Ben. I will do the rest okay.” Jinny said. Jinny extends her right hand to Ben and he takes her hand in his left hand and then she puts her left hand on his shoulder. “Jinny umm what do I do with my right hand?” Ben asks. Jinny said “You put your right hand here like this, as she took his right hand and put it on her waist.” Jinny and Ben began to move to the music. “See Ben it is not that hard to dance now is it? You are doing a good job Ben.” Jinny said. Ben replied, as he was watching his feet to make sure he was doing what Jinny had taught him just minutes earlier “Am I really Jinny? Is this all there is to dancing?” “Yes Sweet Boy you are. Yes this is about all there is to slow dancing Ben. I will let your Mom show you the other kinds of dancing okay?” Jinny said. After a while of moving back and forth to the music Jinny decides to ask “So Ben are you having fun tonight?” “I guess, I have never been to a party like this before. There sure are a lot of people here. But Mom and Dad seem to be enjoying it.” Ben said as he glanced over to where his Mom and Dad were dancing and smiled. Jinny noticed that Ben was smiling when he looked at his Mom and Dad dancing. “Have you been having fun with your Dad Ben?” Jinny decided to ask. “Yeah, Jinny it has been great. Dad is teaching me how to throw a football and play baseball and we play video games and everything. You know don’t tell Mom Jinny, but I am glad that I finally know my dad. We have a lot of fun together you know?” Ben said. “Yes Ben I know what you are saying, I am glad that you and your Dad are getting along so well and spending time together.” Jinny replied. The music ended and Jinny escorted Ben back to Mag’s table. “Thanks Ben for the dance. I had fun. How about you?” Jinny asked. “It was okay, I guess I am not really into dancing yet.” Ben replied. Jinny said “I am going to go dance with Theodore okay?” “Sure Jinny.” Ben replied. Jinny turned to go back to her table and glances out on the dance floor and sees Magda and Gabriel heading back to their table.

Magda’s Table
“Ben I saw you dancing with Jinny did you have fun?” Magda asks. “It was okay Mom, but did you have fun dancing with Dad?” Ben replied to his mother. “Yes papi, I did.” Mag said. “What about you Dad did you have fun dancing with Mom?” Ben asked. “As a matter of fact son I did enjoy dancing with your mother.” Gabriel replied. “I am glad. But I have a question are we going to get desert at this party?” Ben asked. “Papi, I am sure that they will be passing out desert soon. They are just trying to let people enjoy the music for a while first I think. I know Jinny said that there was going to be desert. So have some patience Papi okay.” Magda told her son.
