This is my very first fan fiction, please tell me if you like the begining.

OMG how could this be happening Jinny thought to herself. A man was holding her hostage with a gun to her head. Why now when I have everything in the world to live for. She could feel the smoldering breathe of the man against her bare neck. Voices and sirens pierced trough the night’s crisp air.
TM:If you move an inch I swear I will kill you without a seconds thought.
Magda had begged her not to enter the house alone, but Jinny was too stubborn to wait for backup and now death was upon her. Breathing down her back, anticipating the second she would falter and kill her while she was all alone in a dark forsaken room.
Suddenly, a very familiar voice ripped through Jinny’s pounding ears.
K: Sir, we have you surrounded , there is nothing you can do. Please let the officer go, and come out with your hands above your head.
J: You should listen to the Captain, she has a lot of power behind her.
The man: Shut the hell up! No one asked for your opinion! and the hard steel of the gun struck Jinny square in the temple.
Jinny screamed in pain and fell to the floor in agony.

Outside

M: OMG, was that Jinny that just screamed.
K: Yeah, I think it was.
M Captain We have to go in after her.
K: Magda we have no eyes in their, nothing to tell us what is going on. I can not allow my people to go in their and die. Jinny will just have to take care of herself for right now.
Magda knew the Captain was right, but Jinny was her best friend. What would she do if Jinny died.
CD seeing Magda’s concern said: Jinny is tough she will get bye for an hour or two.
M: Yeah sure CD, whatever.

Back Inside

J: * groans* and wakes up in a pool of her own blood. For a second she couldn’t remember what happened.
TM: Get up now.
J: What?
TM: I said get the hell up now.
Jinny tried with all her might to climb to her feet but all her strength had evaporated from her body. The man angrily grabbed Jinny by the collar and pulled her to her feet.
TM: Do you have a phone on you?
J: Ah, yeah
TM: Get it and call the lady that was talking earlier
J: Okay, Jinny grabbed the phone and frantically dialed the number of the Captain’s phone.

K: Yes
J: Captain it’s Jinny
K: OMG Jinny are you alright?
TM: Give me the phone. Are you the Captain?
K: Yes I am. Now I want you to let Our officer go and come out with your hands above your head.
TM: Now why the hell would I want to do that.
K: Because if you don’t I will be forced to have all my people come in after you.
TM: OH, really. While if you do that I will be forced to kill this pretty little thing I have in front of me.
K: Okay what do you want?

TM: Listen lady I am the one who is in control here, not you. You will listen to every damn thing I have to say or I will blow this chicks brains out you got it. I’m in control. And with that he hung up

K: Damn it.
M: What?, what did he do to her, is she alright? Magda asked in a terrified voice.
K: I don’t know Magda. All I know is that a man that has raped and murdered a possible five women has one of my people in there and there is not a thing I can do about it. Okay?
CD seeing the Captains anger and frustration lead Magda to a patrol car a couple of feet away.

CD: Magda you and the Captain yelling at each other isn’t going to help Jinny at all. You’re her partner and best friend and you have to stay clam and strong for her right now. Okay?
M: Yeah, but CD I feel so helpless. My best friend is in their possibly hurt and I’m just out here chit chatting to people like nothing has happened I need to do something to help her CD.
CD: Yeah I know what you mean.
All of a sudden a scream ripped through the night and Magda and CD looked at the condeemed house in a horror, feeling useless>

TM: Who is it?
K: It is the captain what the hell just happened?
TM: Well, your stupid ass inspector just tried to take my gun away and I just could not allow that, it wouldn’t make me a very good bad guy now wouldn’t you agree Captain
K: let me talk to my inspector.
TM: Ah, let me think for a second , no, I don’t think so.
K: you know your stubbornness is getting both of us nowhere.
TM: Fine if you must here’s your little inspector.
J: cap, what’s going on.
K: Are you alright Jinny?
J: Not really Cap, my head is bleeding really bad and I feel really dizzy.
K: does he have only one gun
J: Yeah, Cap.
TM: Okay that is enough. So Captain I gave you what you wanted now you give me something I want

Outside 25 minutes later.

K: Listen everybody it sounds like Jinny is hurt really bad, and I can’t let this man be in control any longer so I need two volunteers to go in and try to get control of the man without any one getting hurt. Any takers?
Both CD and Magda raised their hands before any one had a chance.
K: Okay go get ready you go in in 30 minutes.

He grabbed Jinny and punches her twice in the stomach and throws her to the ground and falls an top of her. Jinny tries to get away, but she is too weak to overpower him. The man tore Jinny’s shirt away from her body and started to lower his

Put your hands up NOW Magda roared at the man when she saw what he was doing to her best friend. But the man reacted with rapid speed and quickly had the gun to Jinny’s bleeding head.

M: Let her go. NOW
TM: Ah, I don’t think so.
CD: There is no where for you to go.
J: Besides hell.
TM: Shut-up you stupid bitch.
In anger the man shot at Magda and CD> Jinny jumped out of the way and CD shot at the man and hit him in the shoulder, before he fainted in pain he turned to Jinny who was defenseless and shot her.
M: NOOOOOOOO!, and she turned and opened fire at the man killing him.
CD: Officer down, get in here now, officer down
Magda ran to Jinny’s lifeless body and held her in her arms and chanted, O God please no, as blood gushed from Jinny’s body

Sirens blared through the night as ten paramedics carefully moved Jinny’s motionless body on to a stretcher and into an ambulance. Magda just stood there immobile not moving or saying anything. She just looked at Jinny knowing she was going to die and once again she felt utterly powerless.

At the hospital. 20 police officers from the Division are there, including Kate, Magda, CD, and now Angela. Also Jinny’s brothers and father have come, along with Teddy.

T: Magda, what happened?
Magda just sat there with a glazed over look in her eyes staring at her blood stricken hands.
CD: Magda maybe you should go home and change. You have blood all over you and you look exhausted.
Magda finally raised her head and looked strait into CD’s eyes: I can’t go home, my best friend is in their possibly dying if she isn’t already dead and you want me to go home. No way in hell.
After her outburst of emotion Magda went back to her motionless demenor.

Then after two hours in the waiting room the ER doctor came in
D: Exstead?
Everyone in the room jumped to there feet in anticipation of what he was going to say.
Magda in a very feeble voice looked at the doctor and asked: Is she all right?
Before the doctor could answer Magda fell to the ground sobbing, because just the look the doctor had given her was assurance enough to know her life would never again be the same.

I have a question, for everyone. I'm starting a scrapbook of Division fan fics, yes I know I'm wierd, but may I use you guys' fan fics?? They are so good and I'd love to have them in there. Hey, if you let me we have to share a scrapbook at school about something we like every year at the beginning of the year and mines gonna be this one. I get to read every fan fic so yours will be read to my class.

Oh and I'm 13 and in sixth grade, but that's because I've had heart problems and missed so much school last year when I was in sixth grade I have to take that grade over. I can't do summer school 'cause I'm waiting for a transplant.

CD: It is okay Magda, just let him tell us what is wrong okay.
Magda nodded her head and struggled to get to her feet.
D: Jinny was shoot twice in the abdomen one bullet managed not to do any major damage but the other hit her liver. She is in surgery right now, but from my analysis the outcome will must likely not be good.
Magda feel to her knees and shoved her face into her hands and cried uncontrollably. John turned around and punched the nearest wall. Teddy and Casey started to cry while CD, Angela, and Kate just stood there in disbelief and shock.
D: Now wait, there is something you can do to help Jinny. Jinny lost a severe amount of blood and our bank was depleted now if some of you could give blood it would be greatly appreciated.
They just looked at him and nodded.
D: You can go wait in the surgery waiting room. The surgeon will give you more information after she comes out of surgery as to what state Jinny is in.

Surgery waiting room

M: How much longer is it going to be? I can’t wait any longer.
A: Magda it has only been two hours
M: So the hell what, I want to know what is going on now.
K: Magda you have to clam down, I bet it will be another couple of hours. Plus you should go home and change.
M: I can’t go home, she is my best friend.
K: Yes you are, so you have to stay strong for her. Plus they won’t let you see her like this.
Magda looked down at herself in shock. It seemed it was the first time she had see the blood that covered her shirt and pants. Suddenly she started to cry again and the Captain ordered a patrol man to take Magda home and bring her back

Magda’s House

M: Oh, god what am I supposed to do, I don’t know what I would do without her.
Magda went into her bathroom and took a shower. She could barley stand when she saw the water going into the drain in the blood red color. When she got out she walked into her room and collapsed next to her bed.
M: God, please don’t take my best friend away from me. I love her so much. Please God, please.
Magda cried for a few minutes then got dressed and headed back to the hospital with the patrol man.

The surgery waiting room, Magda enters

M: Any news?
T: None.
M: But it has been five hours.
K: We all know that. Why don’t you sit down.
M: Sure whatever.

Five Hours Later Still no word from the doctors

Everyone in the room couldn’t even talk. They all just sat there with no movement. Every once in a while someone would break down and cry but that was the emotion showed. Finally the surgeon came in the room.
S: Exstead?
Everyone stood up with concern on their faces.

S: Well, I have great news. Jinny made it through the surgery and we looked closely at the liver damage done by the bullet and we were able to repair it. Both bullets were removed.
M: Great so Jinny will be as good as new.
S: Not quite, there were some complications. While we were looking at the liver Jinny flat lined. It took one minute and forty-five seconds to get her heart to beat again. She also went into shock and is now in a coma. The second bullet did cause damage to the right lung so, we had to put a tube down her throat to help her breathe. She also has a major concussion. We are hoping that she will come out of the coma soon. We are fearing that if she is the coma for an extended amount she will not be able to come out of it.
K: Can we see her?
S: Of course, but let me warn you she is hooked to a lot of tubes and she may not look like you remember her. Also please only one at a time.
C: Thank you so much.
S: Your welcome, I will see you all later.
K: Magda why don’t you go first.
M; Okay, Captain

Jinny in ICU

M: OMG, Jinny I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have let you go in there alone. And then I just stood there and let him shoot you. Jinny I’m so sorry. You have to pull through okay. I love you so much. Everyone’s here to see and we all love you please wake Jinny, please.
Magda leans over and kisses Jinny on the forehead and slowly turns to walk out of the room.

Jinny in ICU

M: Hey Jinny. Magda just stood there, it seemed to her that she had said everything in her heart she had to say. There was nothing left, just feelings of helplessness, sadness, and hope. But her hope was slowly slipping away from her. With each passing second Jinny recovering became more of a dream, than a reality. She just laid there like she was in a deep sleep, but no matter how loud Magda screamed or how hard she shook her Jinny just wouldn’t wake up.
Magda went and sat next to Jinny’s bed and held her hand. To Magda it felt she had the entire pressure of the world on her shoulders and she couldn’t get rid of it. With tears streaming down her blushed face Magda laid her head down next to Jinny’s hand. She closed her eyes and just sobbed beside Jinny. Magda drifted off after awhile with tears still running down her checks.

Then suddenly there was a feeble squeeze on her hand, in shock Magda looked at Jinny , and for the first time in a week Magda had a deep feeling of peace inside of her. Finally her best friend had awoken.

The screen fades
The End.

I think I may do a continuation of what happens after Jinny wakes up, but I don’t know yet. What do you guys think?

I've decided to go on with it so here you go.


M: OMG, Jinny your awake. Oh, I have to go get the doctor.
Magda frantically ran out of the room to find the doctor.

Five minutes later

D: Well, look who finally decided to wake up. Now that you are conscious I will take this tube out of your throat, okay?
Jinny was barely able to nod her head.
D: Okay, I need you to cough on the count of three. 1-2-3- cough.
With all her strength, Jinny coughed and with a great deal of pain the tube came out of Jinny’s throat.

D; Okay, don’t try to talk yet, with this being down your throat a week your larynx probably has a little damage.
Jinny gave him a look of horror, when he said she had been like that for a week.
Magda sighting Jinny’s horror said: Jinny do you remember that guy we were after and how he held you hostage. Jinny went into a deep thought trying to remember. Gradually she remembered everything. Being hit over the head, being punched and the last thing she could remember was being shot.
Magda could see Jinny’s thought process and then the single tear rolling down her cheek.
M: Jinny it is alright. Nothing is going to happen to you. I kind of killed that man. You have nothing to worry about.
But Jinny just gave her a look of are you crazy.
D: Um, why don’t we leave and let you get some rest, okay?

Magda just looked at Jinny and saw the crystal tears forming in her eyes. And once again she felt helpless. There was nothing she could do to help Jinny physically or emotionally.

Magda stood outside and just looked at Jinny through the glass around her room.
D: Even though she woke up we are going to keep her in ICU.
M: Why?
D: Well, the surgeon is going to go back and have a look at her liver, and see if she is going to recover.
M: When is he going to do the surgery?
D: Tomorrow at six.
M: Okay thanks.
The doctor gave Magda one last glance and walked away.

Magda stood and watched as Jinny slowly feel asleep. She could see the hurt in her friend’s eyes earlier, but what was she going to do, she couldn’t forget what happened to her.

Magda slowly turned away from her friend and walked to tell Teddy the great news.

M: Teddy she woke up.
Teddy jumped to his feet in excitement and grinned and asked Magda if he could go see her.
M: No, the doctor said we should let her sleep.
T: Oh, well he knows what is best for her. Any other news?
M: Oh, yeah. Tomorrow they are going to take a look at Jinny’s liver to see if it is healing.
T: Well, I guess I should go home and get some sleep.
M: Yeah, I need to go to work and tell everyone the good news.
T: Okay well I will see you later then.
M: Yeah, bye.
Then they both left to go their separate ways.

At the Division

Magda walked in slowly though the doors and all the conversations stopped abruptly and everyone turned to look at Magda.
Magda saw everyone’s look of fear, she wanted to tell them that Jinny had waken up but she didn’t know if she should so she walked strait into the Captain’s office without giving them a second glance.

Kate looked up at Magda when she heard her come in and close the door.
Magda looked at the Captian and bluntly stated: Jinny woke up.
K: Really that is great. Did you tell everybody yet?
M: No, to tell you the truth I really didn’t know how to tell them.
K: Well how bout I tell them and if they have any questions you can answer them.
M: Okay Captian that sounds good.


Later that night at the hospital

Magda enters Jinny’s room.

Magda noticed right away that she was the only one there and Jinny was sleeping. Magda walked over and sat next to Jinny’s bed.
Magda just sat there wondering how hard it would be for Jinny to recover.
Then Jinny stirred and woke up.
Jinny spoke in a very hoarse voice: Hey, Mag.
M: Hey Jinny, how are you?
Jinny kind of smiled and said: Well, can’t you tell, I’m peachy.
Magda just laughed: You know that is, just like you to joke when you were scaring the hell out of everybody.
J: Yeah well what do you expect?
M: From you? Well I have learned to expect nothing. You are the only person who I can never predict what is going to happen next. Now wheather or no that is a good thing, I have no clue.

After Jinny gets out of surgery the surgeon walks to Magda and Teddy who are waiting.

The surgeon just looked at them. He had really thought this girl was going to pull through. He hated this part of the job. Telling the family and friends that there loved one was going to die and to watch the expressions on their faces as their whole world comes crashing down. There was no way to explain what it felt like to be the bringer of death.
S: Will you please sit down, the news I have to tell you isn’t very good.
Magda and Teddy could tell that something had gone drastically wrong.
S: I am afraid that Jinny’s liver has completely deteriorated and there is nothing we can do to save her. We expect that she will fall back into a coma and die by tonight.
Magda and Teddy just seat there motionless and expressionless.
M: Is there anything we can do doctor?
S: You can say goodbye.
Feeling like there was nothing else to say the surgeon got to his feet and slowly walked away.

Oh and did you know that a person who's still alive can donate upto half of their liver, and their body can still function properly. Oh having a big sister who's a doctor helps a lot of things! she witnessed that procedure. When she told me about it, I found it very interesting. I have one other sister, she's 11 i'm 13 and my sister's 28 (well she's only and intern...but) she was adopted.

Magda felt like her whole world was crashing down. She truly thought since Jinny woke up that she would make it and now she was going to die.

Teddy couldn’t move or talk. He was like a scarecrow that was just in the figure of a human. He didn’t have a conscious brain and his arms were nailed to boards to keep him from moving. He was stuck there in an empty field of, not crops, but pain and misery.

Magda thought I have to go talk to her. I have to go hold her and tell her how much I love her before she dies.

Magda got to her feet and ran to Jinny’s room, but stopped at the entrance to the door when she heard the doctors booming voice.

D: Jinny, now that you know what is happening I was wondering if you would want to sign a Do Not Resuscitate form. What this form does is, say if your heart of breathing stopped we would not try to revive you in any way. We would just simply let you go. Now you don’t have to answer me right now.
J: No, I want to do that. I don’t want to be hooked up to any more machines.
D: Okay if you are sure, please sign here.
Magda shuddered when she saw that Jinny barely had the strength to sign her own name.
D: Well, I am going to let you rest now. I will come back later and check on you.
The doctor turned around and noticed Magda standing in the door entrance. He stopped and was about to say something, but on second thought just walked away.

Magda moved to Jinny’s side slowly. She tired to give Jinny a reassuring smile but couldn’t muster the strength.
Jinny just looked at Magda trying to take in everything that had happened in the last ten minutes.
They just looked at each other and an understanding came between them. One know she was going to die and the other know she was going to lose somebody. Both of them couldn’t bring themselves to say simple pleasantries, because nothing anymore was simple or close to pleasant. So they just stood there holding hands, and looking into each others eyes. They didn’t speak and they both didn’t cry. They didn’t want to waste the last few hours together being sad.
After an extended amount of time of connecting their souls Magda spoke: Jinny I love you, but I have to leave and let Teddy come in. I doubt that he told anybody so I should go call everyone. Okay?
Jinny didn’t speak, but just nodded to her friend, and watched her walk away, wondering if that would be the last time she would ever see her.

Magda slowly sauntered towards the unmoving Teddy.
M: Teddy, Jinny wants to see you, so go to her.
Teddy just sat in a trance, slowly he turned his head and looked at Magda. His face was stained with tears. His eyes were a bright red.
Finally in a very weak voice Teddy stated: I was going to ask her to marry me this week end. I had planned it for a whole month. I was going to take her to dinner at this beautiful restaurant and then we were going to take a long walk. And right before I took her home, I was going to look into her gorgeous eyes and say, “ Jinny Exstead you have made me the happiest man in the world. I wish I could stand here with you for a thousand years just looking into your eyes seeing your soul and connecting mine to yours. I wish I could say how much I love you, but there aren’t enough words in all the languages in the world combined to even come close. I have loved since the first time I saw you, and even if you say no right now, my life will still be perfect, because I got to spend some of my time on this world with you in my arms. Jinny will you marry me?”

After Teddy confessed his heart to Magda, he got to his feet and walked into Jinny’s room.

Oh my you so didn't stop. I'm about to cry, you have tears in my eyes.

Magda watched as Teddy stopped outside of Jinny’s room and tried to compose himself for her. She looked around the ICU floor and realized nobody else was there. She couldn’t even believe she was. Magda had always had frightening dreams about her getting shot and dying and leaving everyone she loved, but she never once thought about it being Jinny, CD, or even Angela. Magda glanced around once more then left to go to the cafeteria to eat and call everyone that loved Jinny.

Once Magda had gotten off the phone with everyone, she looked at the meal she had purchased and realized, she would never eat lunch again with Jinny. She would never work another case, or anything. Tears formed in Magda’s eyes, and she wanted to die right along with Jinny. I should have gone in that building with her in the first place. We both should have been held hostage. We both should be dying.
No, Magda said sternly to herself when she started to comprehend what she had been saying to herself. You have to go on for your son.
Magda gleamed at her food but she couldn’t bring herself to eat so she throw it away and walked to the elevators and pushed the number to Jinny’s floor. When the doors opened she couldn’t believe the difference of the ICU floor as when it was when she left and how it was now.
The waiting room was crowded with people that Jinny knew. She saw that Teddy had not come out of Jinny’s room yet so she went over and sat next to CD, Angela, and the Captain. Nobody said anything as they looked back at all the memories they had of Jinny. The funny times when she was happy. The hard times when all she did was get drunk. And the times when she was the truest of friends and stood behind you in everything you did. Life was going to be hard without Jinny there to make them laugh. They just sat there and looked back on there lives and how Jinny made them look at themselves in a different light. Every single one of them loved Jinny in there own way. And all of them couldn’t bring themselves to speak about her with out crying, so they sat.

About twenty minutes later Teddy came out of Jinny’s room. He stopped and turned around and glanced one last time. He wished he could stand there forever. Just looking at her and loving her, but he couldn’t. Time doesn’t stop no matter how hard you pray and beg, it doesn’t stop for love, or happiness. It just keeps going. Teddy whispered I love you to Jinny and saw her whisper it back then he waved and walked away. He didn’t cry the whole time he was with Jinny, but now no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t stop his chest from sounding with sobs.

Casey, John and Jinny’s Dad all went to see Jinny next. They were in there for an hour and then they came out with Casey crying uncontrollably, John was stone faced, and Jinny’s dad was expression less. CD and Angela took a turn next and were in Jinny’s room for half an hour, and then they both came out crying.
Captain stood up and looked at everyone and asked: Can I go alone?
No one could speak, or move so Kate slowly walked to Jinny’s room by herself. Forty-five minutes later she came out of Jinny’s room with tears streaming down her chrisom dyed face.
Magda looked at everyone and nodded and went to Jinny’s room.

Magda didn’t know what she was going to say to Jinny. What do you say to a person that you love right before they die. Before she know it she was at the entrance to Jinny’s room. Magda felt like her chest weighed a million pounds as she walked to Jinny. She slowly took in Jinny’s appearance and noticed that she was a shade of yellow. Jinny turned her face to Magda.
J: Mag, did I ever tell you how much you mean to me?
M: Not really, but I know Jin.
J: No, Mag. I want you to hear it from me. You have been my best friend for as long as I can remember, you have helped me even when I pushed you away. You have loved me for everything that I am, and for everything I’m not. Mag, I love you.
Magda had tears flowing like Niagara Falls’ from her eyes when Jinny was done confessing her love.
In a cracking voice Magda, looked into Jinny’s eyes and said: Jinny, you are the most energetic person I know. You are beautiful, smart, and everything a friend should be. I love you so much.
Magda wanted to say more but fall apart crying. Jinny pulled Magda to her and held her like a mother would hold a weeping child. She didn’t say anything, but just held Magda. After Magda had cried all the tears she could she raised her head and looked into Jinny’s eyes. In a very feeble voice Jinny peered into Magda’s eyes and Jinny said: I love you so much.
All of a sudden Jinny’s heart monitor went flat, with Jinny still looking Magda in the eyes. Nurses rushed in and were about to save her, when the doctor came in and said: No, she is a DNR.
Everyone just stopped.
M: No, you have to save her. Please!!! Magda graveled to the doctor.
D: I’m sorry ma’am, but there is nothing we can do.
The doctor looked at Magda slowly studying every feature of her face. After a long pause, he went and turned the heart monitor off.
Shivers ran up Magda’s spine as the doctor announced: Time of death 19:04.
All of the nurses looked at Jinny and slowly moved from the room. The doctor glanced at Magda and went to join the nurses outside.

Magda turned her attention back on Jinny. Her eyes were still fixed on Magda, it was like she was still alive , But Magda knew it wasn’t true. She went to Jinny’s side and leaned over and closed her eyes and kissed her on the forehead. For some unknown reason Magda knew Jinny heard her, when she whispered, I love you into Jinny’s ear.

Magda turned and walked away from her friend’s dead body.

Reporter: We have just received reports saying that Jinny Exstead, an Inspector for the San Francisco Police Department has succumbed to the injuries she received during the shot-out involving the SFPD and the murder/ rapist. Kate McCafferty the Captain of Jinny Exstead’s division came out and stated to the public and the press,
“ Jinny Exstead was a great cop, and person. She will be greatly missed.”
Inspector Jinny Exstead has died at the age of 32.

Angela didn’t know how to feel. She drove home to see Daniel, and tell him. As soon as she walked through the door she didn’t have to say a word. Daniel walked strait to her and held her in his arms. Trying to ease his wife’s pain, but for the first time Daniel’s arms, just couldn’t comfort the crying Angela.

CD, Casey and John all went to the bar right after they heard of Jinny’s death. CD didn’t know how to show her emotions about Jinny’s death, so she just drank to her friend. Casey cried never really drinking, but just staring through the tears in his eyes and the ones that had already fallen from his eyes at his drink. John sat stone faced, only drinking from his glass every few minutes. None of them spoke, but they knew each others pain so they sat in total silence, as they remembered their friend and sister.

Kate walked into the Division all by herself. It was completely deserted. Everyone had loved Jinny and they were all out mourning. Kate walked over to Jinny’s desk and started to grab Jinny’s personal items and putting them into a box. Tears streaked down her face as she grabbed the plaque that stated “Inspector Jinny Exstead.”
Why was I so hard on her? Kate pondered to herself , as she collapsed into Jinny’s chair. Over ran with emotions Kate laid her head down on Jinny’s desk and just cried.

Teddy staggered into Jinny’s apartment. He moved to her couch and saw her beloved leather jacket. He grabbed it in his arms and held it tight to his chest. He put it to his nose and could smell Jinny’s scent. It was tough yet a very famine fragrance. It always seemed to drive him wild. Teddy just hugged her jacket as if Jinny was really inside of it. He felt so sad, it was a sadness that words could not even come close to explaining. He held Jinny’s jacket and fell to his knees sobbing with nothing on his mind, but how he would never smell Jinny again.

Magda drove home with tears streaming down her face. What am I going to do without Jinny,? Buzzed through Magda’s mind as she pulled into her driveway and stopped the car. She slowly walked to her front door and just stood there. Everything inside of her just stopped. It seemed like she was stuck in quicksand, and there was nothing to hold on to, or anyone to scream out to. She turned the handle slowly and walked into the dark house. There were no lights on, but Magda didn’t notice as she walked strait to Ben’s room.
M: Hey Ben wake up.
Ben opened his eyes and immediately saw the pain and hurt in Magda’s eyes.
What’s wrong mom? He asked with compassion.
M: Come here Ben I have something to tell you.
Ben crawled into Magda’s arms.
M: Ben, something bad happened to Jinny. Over a week ago a really bad man shot Jinny. And well Ben tonight she died.
B: Why? Mom, I love Jinny. Why didn’t you save her?
M: Ben I couldn’t. Jinny is gone now and the only thing we can do is love and remember her.. Okay?
Ben said nothing as he started to cry in Magda’s arms. Magda held her son close as they both wept on his bed.

After, Jinny died, everyone tried to go back to their lives, but nothing was ever the same. No one ever spoke of what they had said to Jinny in her last hours on earth. It was like their little moment with Jinny. It was their own secret treasure to hold on to for the rest of their lives. Jinny may be gone, but she will always be the friend who was always a boisterous and energetic person that everyone took into their hearts, because she so graciously allowed everyone to look inside her heart and soul.
