Zoneboy 08-13-2008, 11:16 PM If she has a Paypal debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo then she should have no problem using it. Yooch 08-13-2008, 11:19 PM does Netflix take PayPal? my cousin is thinking about joining and she lost her credit card, but has a PayPal card. I'm not sure how that works, because when I signed up, I did use a credit card. I'd suggest you call the toll-free customer service number on the netflix website. Good luck. (BTW, I've had Netflix for two months and we love it!) We got the $8.99 a month plan, which is one movie at a time, unlimited for any given month. We did upgrade, because with the lower rate of $4.99 per month, you get one at a time, but you're limited to only two movies a month.) treky 08-14-2008, 02:44 AM I don't think they do take PayPal. I also love Netflix! I'm on the 3 disc at a time plan, and it's great!! I'm currently getting reaquanted with the show "DALLAS" which I haven't seen in YEARS. I'm watching it from the very beggining, and most of those early episodes, I don't remember (it's funny seeing Larry Hagman looking like he just stepped out of "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" and acting completely different. I keep expecting him to shout "JEANNIE") Jude The Obscure 08-14-2008, 08:57 AM If she has bank/checking account, they accept that (if she uses a bank debit card). And FWIW, did she report to the credit card company that she lost her credit card? so yes, if the Paypal card has a Mastercard/Visa logo, it will work. Yes, Netflix is great....have rarely gone to the video store since being a member! Tweety 08-14-2008, 10:41 PM Netflix is excellent. We're also on the 3-at-a-time plan... We've gone through a few TV series ("The Dick Van Dyke Show", "Family Affair", "The Doris Day Show" plus some others), and we've never seen them not have a movie we wanted to get. Jude The Obscure 08-15-2008, 03:50 PM Netflix is currently having technical glitches--delaying the mailing of movies and also reporting movies received back. Members will be receiving credits on their monthly bill. Schmoopie 08-15-2008, 04:18 PM Netflix is currently having technical glitches--delaying the mailing of movies and also reporting movies received back. Members will be receiving credits on their monthly bill. This is what I love about them; they are always there for their customers. Several months ago, I had returned a DVD to them and it seemed like it was taking a long time to get another one. I notified them about it, and they immediately sent another one, even though they hadn't received the one I sent back. I guess it was lost in the mail. It was really nice of them, because most places, like Blockbuster won't even let you check out anything unless they have gotten the previous movie back. I haven't set foot in a Blockbuster in years. I think I still have a membership, but Netflix is absolutely the best! I considered trying the Blockbuster Online (Netflix-copy-ers!), but they make you sign up for the three at a time. Right now we have the two-at-a-time because that's about all we can handle! As for Paypal, I guess as long as it has a Visa or Mastercard logo, it should be fine. Andrea Jude The Obscure 08-15-2008, 04:23 PM Yea, a copy of Transformers got lost in the mail--and it was ok. Now with Blockhead Online--a TV disc got lost--I WAS CHARGED $24.95!!! Never again with those jerks. And I used to work for Blockhead as well--so glad to be gone from that place. The Great One 08-15-2008, 04:29 PM How much does Netflix charge per month for the 3-at-a-time plan? treky 08-16-2008, 02:02 AM I was thinking of looking into Blockbuster Online too so I could use both services; but now after reading these posts, I'm definetaly not!!! As for Netflix; I got a DVD from them once, and it was cracked. I simply went on their website, reported it, sent it back, and they sent me out another one at no charge. PlayOn 08-16-2008, 05:43 AM thanks for the replies. :) as for her reporting her credit card, she said she lost it in house. plus, the credit card company hasn't call saying it was maxed out or anything. so, that's good. i, too, would like to know the cost of the 3 at a time plan. :) Schmoopie 08-16-2008, 06:29 AM I found this on the Netflix site. It includes pricing for everything. I haven't encountered getting the wrong DVD yet, but I'm sure it's happened more than once, being that they have so many DVD's to send out to so many places. I don't know how they keep track of them all! I would let them know about it, because they are always gracious when correcting mistakes. That's why I love em!:) Andrea Jude The Obscure 08-17-2008, 11:54 AM oh don't worry, I informed them... But at the same time, why not watch a movie for free? I had no plans to see this one, but what the heck? I didn't even notice a big problem. It felt like their usual throttling, but I'll take the refund. :D Jude The Obscure 08-19-2008, 10:05 PM That's true. Plus, you might enjoy it! Get these a lot lately......makes me wonder if this is throttling. Still, I've been with them now for six years, and I do love it. I got two movies in the mail today. :) Jude The Obscure 08-20-2008, 11:16 PM Oh I love the service.....I couldn't see myself having to go back to visiting the video store on a regular basis--well, couldn't afford to, without coupons, etc. Schmoopie 08-21-2008, 02:05 AM Janice, you ever get the e-mails stating that such and such movie is not available from your local shipping center so they are shipping it from some location clear across the country? Get these a lot lately......makes me wonder if this is throttling. Ive gotten those too. Once I had a movie shipped to me from ATLANTA! I think it's pretty cool that they do that, though. They could just be like a regular video store and say "too bad"! I don't think I could ever go into another Blockbuster. If I did it would be to look at the backs of the DVD's and then write down ones that interest me! Andrea |
