I miss Cathie too. She's having problems now, the poor girl. We talked on the phone for over three hours a couple of weeks ago, lol. We also spoke last Friday. I hope she finds time to post, and if she wants to discuss her life, I guess she will. I think she will.

Her posts are the funniest, so lively and upbeat. The best thing about Cathie is that she always minds her own business, and was just here to have fun. Not that she can't gossip with the best of them, but she never gets involved in board issues that don't concern her. She's not a schemer. She treats everyone with respect.

I'm with you - I have plenty of drama in my off-cyber life - don't need or want it here. That being said though, the idea of Irene leaving is so painful to me I couldn't post about it until now. I'm going to e.m. her, and say some private sentiments there, and I hope she's just taking a breather. Whatever her decisions and reasons, I respect them.

You, Irene and Sonny were very helpful to me when I was dealing with a bullying troll and I've always been very grateful for that help. As many others have stated, Irene added A LOT to the bds, and I'm very fond of her. Clearly her presence will be sorely missed.

its taken me a while to put my thoughts together in regardsto this thread as i'v been distraut over learning that irene, if true, has left for good. i really liked her and was hoping to become better friends with her as shes always been so supportive and encouraging to me. her abscence really leaves this board with an empty feeling and hope she returns to us soon.

It's been almost a year (August 20, 2007) since he last posted. It seems strange that he hasn't been here in so long. I've wondered how he is, but I'm too chicken to call. I also hope he's doing well.

Anyway, folks, at the moment my life is still in turmoil. I am not working again at this time, and maybe it's the best in some respects. I'm undergoing treatment for a brain tumour. The first two blasts of radiation (stereotactical - which means its focused directly on the area of the tumour rather than all over the brain) didn't take all that much, so I just finished ten more (not stereotactical tho). I've felt like Jacques Plant at times. (reference to the stupid mask).

Pardon me if I don't get on much, or can respond right away. I have to do everything in very short bursts of energy since I'm totally zapped of it. I'm dropping weight daily, and am also in the middle of moving. The nausea hasn't been fun, smells get to me, and since the last round of radiation, I have a slight tremor in my right hand. Oh yah, and my skin has been peeling off my fingertips (stupid me used nail polish remover during treatment and shouldn't be touching chemicals at all). Now it's also started on my face.

Bri - I never heard the results of your daughter's MRI - I hope they were good (you don't want to necessarily say "positive" when talking med results).
(I might forget what I ate for breakfast but I do remember that issue for you).

Cathie, everything turned out pretty good with my daughter. She is cancer free, but was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease. She is a strong little girl and will be just fine. My concern is you. I miss having you around. You were drama free and certainly weren't two faced. You are a wonderful person.
