View Full Version : Whoopi Made Elizabeth Cry on the View yesterday???
TVFactFan 07-18-2008, 11:26 AM My mom said they were having a discussion about the N-word and that Elizabeth was saying she feels NO ONE should use the word and Whoopi said that's not the case and it's ok for black people to say it and started getting emotional.
My mom said that Barbara asked whoppi-"so it's ok for you to use the N-word and I can't use it?
Whoppi's response-"YES"
lol
Zebra 3 07-19-2008, 12:55 PM Whoopi's an idiot.

Who the MEDIA??
Lodee 07-19-2008, 01:07 PM Yeah. I have Comcast as my homepage and it was one of the "Top" videos. The headline was Hasselbeck Breaks Down.
howierules86 07-19-2008, 01:19 PM Jeez, would someone think about cancelling "The View" and ending this torture already?
PrettyinPink55 07-19-2008, 01:31 PM Yes, Elizabeth started crying and got emotional over the n word.

yes, she did start to cry. i watched it that day. and barbra told elisabeth to "just breathe." if you look closely, you could her eyes were watery and her voice was shaky. tears may not have came, but she was about to.
:)

I'll sign your petition, too! I cannot stand Elizabeth Hasselback. Her brother is the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, and to think that I actually thought it was cool when she got that job on the view.
I hate this show with a purple passion. It's stupid and they are always getting into fights. Pointless!

Isn't it her brother in law? And isn't her husband a quarterback somewhere too?
catlover79 07-22-2008, 01:47 PM Isn't it her brother in law? And isn't her husband a quarterback somewhere too?
Yes, both her husband and his brother are NFL players. Tim, Elizabeth's husband, is with the Arizona Cardinals. Her brother-in-law Matt plays for the Seattle Seahawks.

That's right, she's annoying
JulieSomoski 07-22-2008, 05:14 PM That's right, she's annoying
She is annoying, VERY annoying-LOL. From what I've seen of the show, she gets on my nerves everytime I watch it. Whenever a discussion starts, she's usually the first one to get emotional or stir up the controversy. Just look what happened between her and Rosie.

rosie had it coming. everyday, she blasted elisabeth's politics (once she blasted her faith, i believe) correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't think that she blasted Elizabeth's ( I don't remember that at all) since her and Rosie are both Catholics.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!, I recorded today's episode, and today and the other day Barbara had to basically tell her to shutup so that Barbara could talk

She is annoying and SEXY!!!!!!!-lol-lol
Brieannas21 07-22-2008, 06:17 PM She is annoying and SEXY!!!!!!!-lol-lol
I don't think she's all that, and her looks has nothing at all to do with her attitude.
PlayOn 07-22-2008, 08:27 PM my Conservative queen. :D
Janice 07-22-2008, 08:46 PM What happened between Rosie and Elisabeth was due to a controversy that Rosie was already embroiled in. It was all over the news, something to do with remarks Rosie made about our troops. On the show, Rosie was all over Elisabeth to defend her, and Lizzy told her to defend herself.
Most liberals are not going to like Elisabeth. Imagine if conservatives based their preferences on a celebrity's politics, lol. They'd hate 98% of Hollywood. Elisabeth choked up over an issue she feels strongly about. Big deal. If that was Whoopi, Babs, or anyone else, it wouldn't have even made the news. She's a nice gal, devoted wife and mother. She's not bothering anyone.
PlayOn 07-22-2008, 10:25 PM ^^^ well said Janice. :clap
Scoobiedoo30 07-23-2008, 02:10 PM I cant belive that Whoopi made Elizabeth cry
Brieannas21 07-23-2008, 03:36 PM I cant belive that Whoopi made Elizabeth cry
She did not make Elizabeth cry.
jasonbigley 08-01-2008, 12:05 AM I dont think the N Word should be used period. My grandmother is prejudiced and she uses it all the time and it makes me mad. What Whoopi said about it being okay for blacks to use it and not whites is ludacris.

It's ******** for a white person to want to use the N-word around black people. That's why I can't believe Barbara asked Whoppi that stupid question.

I agree. It's a huge double standard, and all the rationalitions don't cut it with me. It's an ugly word that nobody should use.

Well the word never and never will bother me but I do agree with you.
Janice 08-01-2008, 01:19 AM Well the word never and never will bother me but I do agree with you.
Well someone can call me a honkey all day long. Calling me a donkey would bother me more, lol. I know the words don't compare. I'm surprised it doesn't bother you, but that's cool. Solomon, you have your old name back. I love it. No all caps this time. Looks good. :)
Nighthawk76 08-01-2008, 02:17 AM I've really grown to admire Elizabeth over the last couple of months. The View is always on at the office at work, so I see portions of it every morning. I may not always agree with what she says, but I respect Elizabeth for being a well informed, intelligent and caring human being.
Scoobiedoo30 08-01-2008, 01:45 PM it seems to me we have another Rosie and Elizabeth going on over at The View

Thanks, lol Yeah I did all the Analyzing, Debating, and Researching I can do over the Years and just decided to go back to my original name WITHOUT CAPS-lol
SOLOMON
LOL
80sTrivia 08-02-2008, 06:41 AM Things that make Elizabeth cry:
The wind blowing from the North.
Puppy dogs and butterflies.
Mean people.
Rosie O'Donnell dressed as Colonel Sanders.
When Barbara Walters makes her go to her cage.
Her own shadow...
littlebelle 08-04-2008, 03:22 AM I sort of see from both points of view on this topic (no pun intended).
dav4463 09-16-2008, 12:49 AM Whoopi is a disgusting, racist, ugly woman. When she asked John McCain if she should be worried about becoming a slave again; that showed her stupidity for the whole world to see.
Yeah, McCain plans to reinstate slavery. What a dumb broad! She is stuck so far up Obama's butt that she wouldn't even listen to McCain. She just sat there looking for an opportunity to ask her dumb pre-planned question hoping to make McCain look bad.
He handled it with class. I wouldn't have. I would have called her "stupid" for even making such a remark.
Yeah, this country which has given you everything you have is going to make you a slave. How ******** can you be, Whoopi?
